The ambience is warm, decoration is spot on and very Bavarian, the waiters are friendly. Unfortunately, they were understaffed, so the end of the night was slow, but I decided not to hold it against them because the food was amazing. If it's your first time, your must try the ox dish ("Du Ochs"). The meat is juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fried onions and potatoes complement the dish well and the sauce makes the whole thing exceptional.
Put simply, don't judge German cooking until you've tried this. Our waiter was warm and gave us good suggestions. He was just dealing with a lot of customers. It's not surprising, however, given the quality of the food we got. Also, if you don't speak German, the staff speaks English well and they also have menus in English, so the place is very tourist-friendly.
