We had the pear, chutney, grilled cheese sandwich, which was freshly prepared and quite delicious. I enjoyed that again with a salad with dressing on the side. I haven't had a grilled cheese in a while, and this was a great lunch option. I would highly recommend stopping by to enjoy the beautiful space, some lawn games, a wine flight, or some lunch.

We had a tasting flight of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Call me a cab. Each wine lacked much complexity and had a watery element. The whites were pleasant on a warm day but didn't seem to have much of the traditional characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. Call me a Cab has a great name but I couldn't finish the sample. Wife ordered a glass of Pink Bubbles that was the best of the wines tasted. We did buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Usually I buy a bottle or two from each vineyard we visit both to support their efforts and to take a second taste while not overlooking vines. Food wise we kept it simple and shared a Canadian Flatbread with mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Hit the spot. Ridge Road Winery is well worth a visit if in the area. This would also be a nice spot to hold a private event.

I'm not sure how or why, because I'm not from Ontario, And struggle with maps even when the map is online and telling me what to do. However, it seems like there would've been a more efficient way for me to get there that said, frisky beaver is a nice place to stop. They're not on the water, I believe they're very near the water. They have a very nice outdoor space where you can chill and have a glass of wine and some nibbles. The couple next to us had their dogs, so of course I was all over that. What I really really really wanted was a couple of their frisky, beaver, wine, glasses, which unfortunately weren't available at the time. Except for my little issues here, I would highly recommend going with a little group of your peeps, chilling outside, and enjoying while live music, plays.

The wine was surprisingly good; we weren't sure what to expect from the region, but it was great! I personally enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon, Rose Bubbly and the Chardonnay the most. The technique and style is true to the old continent and results in some top notch results. We had some food from David's food truck; that too was great! The flatbread/stone bread were tasty! We enjoyed the live music, amazing views and great wine on the patio and had a fantastic afternoon. Highly recommended!

I have to say, it was very far, but once we reached the outer skirts of Mississauga into Milton, I found the drive very peaceful. The farm is on 165 acres of escarpment countryside, and the current admission is $12/per person over the age of 5 years old. There were plenty of parking spots on the grassy areas, and washrooms are available. Inside the main building is a winery and shop that sells homemade goodies, including tarts, pies, jams, drinks, fresh fruits ... but on the pricey side! I personally can't imagine paying $18.50 for a pie made with lard. A bbq lunch is available on weekends. Note that you can't bring outside food onto the grounds. We brought a lunch but ended up tailgating. We missed the berry picking season (sold by weight), but I was pleasantly surprised to see many chickens running around right at my feet! The baby goats were adorable. They also had pigs, ducks, sheep, and other animals. There were plenty of beautiful dahlias ($2 each), but some of the sunflowers were wilting. In hindsight, early August would have been ideal. We came on a cloudy day but still captured some nice photos. We had an enjoyable afternoon.
