Yay, Beverage Mart!…read more It may not be the biggest or the best but they are convenient and they get the job done. Just off Hwy 41 at Mars Hill Rd. Decent selection of everything: liquor, beer & wine. It's impossible to stock everything, so they may not have exactly what you want but they'll have something that will get the job done. I stop in often for beer, rum & rye whiskey. Sometimes, I spot some hard to find bottles on their shelves but they don't stay there long. I'd say this place is definitely 4 stars but I'm giving them a 5th star for being convenient, friendly and always treating me right. Good job Beverage Mart!

I go to several different liquor stores in the area depending on my location and errands that day…read more After today, Hops will be the only liquor store I will go to. Why? Prices are comparable to other stores but not always lower. It is smaller compared to the big chains. Service is on par with other stores - staff is always helpful and friendly. The store is bright and open and laid out well. I walked in today and walked out with a 12 year bottle of Weller. I challenge you to find it in any other store without being a part of their club, or requiring you to purchase other bottles of lower tier bourbon first. Other than "1 per customer" anyone could buy it. Thank you for your service to the common man. Can't wait to see what I find next time.

The owners are a couple and they are very friendly and happy to chat about wine or anything else. There is also a great selection of craft beers, and they also have a cigar humidor. The best thing about them is their wine club. For less than $40 per month, club members get two bottles of wine, varying month-to-month, and including wines that you might not try otherwise. Two months ago, the lines were all from Francis Ford Coppola, the month before that I think it was Spanish wine. They also have wine tasting "parties" every Friday and Saturday night, with the wines changing from week to week. They will have five wines to taste and a decent pour from each wine. After a few visits, you get to meet the other members hence the "party" atmosphere.
