I am so in love with this store! I'm one of those suckers who grew up in Westchester and has driven by this place a bazillion times, only to one day stumble in asking, "where have you been all my life?!" This shop has been around 22 years with everything, including their stunning dress collection, from off the red carpet and LA film sets and it shows. Everything is funky, special, unique, handcrafted, from pins to classic books to rock t-shirts, signed posters, vinyls and more. The owner is a celebrity stylist who can give one look at you and know what dresses will fit you perfectly. I cannot wait to come back for an event and buy a dress. 5 stars!!!! read more

I cannot begin to express the magic of Vintage! Walking in was like walking into a Dream. I was immediately greeted by the owner who invited me to explore her treasures- and to be sure to check the drawers! Every nook and cranny of the 3 large rooms was filled with the most wonderful surprises. I was there for over 2 hours perusing jewelry, bags, vintage rock items, and more. Best place! I have my favorite Levi jean jacket from here. It is a staple piece! They also have a fabulous selection of records! All the ones I have purchased are in wonderful condition. The woman who runs the store is the sweetest and has an eye for an eclectic mix of time periods. The store takes you through many great points of fashion history. read more

I would NEVER step foot in this store again! I spent $500.00 on a vintage dress for my daughter's prom that I was told by Laura, the owner, would need a minor repair. That repair cost another $100.00. But that's not even my complaint. This is: She had a $45 pair of gold shoes that were perfect for the dress. I called about 3 weeks before the prom to see if they were still there. Laura said they were sold. Then called me back later to tell me she had found them. Hallelujah! She assured me she would hold them for me saying, "They're yours!" I told her I might not make it in for a few days and she said, "No problem, they are set aside for you!" I missed the Friday that I thought I could make it in, but wasn't concerned because she assured me she was holding them. But just in case I called over the weekend, knowing she was closed on Monday, I thought perhaps she could meet me at the store because we needed them for the dress fitting. She never called me back. I went there on Tuesday, the store was closed, even though it was her regular business day. I still wasn't too worried, tho', because as I said, she promised me, "They are yours!" I went AGAIN to the store on Tuesday. She greeted me with "Can I help you?" I said, "The gold shoes!" and she said, "I sold them!" I was floored. I reminded her that told me she would hold them. She said "It's prom in 2 weeks, I had to sell them". I said, "you should have called me, I was counting on those shoes", she said, "you said you'd come friday." I was too shocked to speak, but after leaving I realized: I spent $500 in her store and she couldn't hold a $45 pair of shoes even after promising she would! That's wrong on every level. And then of course to be haughty about it and give no apology is inexcusable. A local business that behaves like that has no business here! read more

I was dreading the search for my daughter's prom dress - thought we'd be scouring all the vintage stores in the city for days. We took a chance and headed to Vintage. Laura chose numerous dresses that suited my daughter's style and looked great! We ended up with an incredible 1940's silk evening gown of impeccable quality and style. Laura also directed us to a top notch seamstress who fitted the dress perfectly - she was an expert tailor and worth much more than her $100 fee. Nice stuff, but I think her "secret buying source in LA" she referenced when I was there is just eBay as it was opened on her computer. Kind of overpriced, some things embellished, and she's not too nice to work with.... or really just at all, but where else can you buy these things in person without going into the city. read more

This is my first time writing a review on the Internet, however after having such a wonderful experience at Vintage I felt the need to create an account to share with future customers. Searching for a dress for a formal event when your not a size two made for a difficult day at the mall. After going store to store trying on countless dresses, it seemed like I would never find the perfect dress that I would feel confident in. At the last store I was out of patience, grabbed the first dress I saw and headed home. I decided to stop at the store Vintage because I heard they had nice jewelry and thought I would feel better if I had a nice bag and fun earrings to wear to the event. The owner of Vintage, Laura, immediately came over and began a conversation and asked what I was looking for. After telling her about my day at the mall, she went to the back of the store where all of the dresses are and said she had a dress that would be perfect. I looked at all the mannequins in gorgeous dresses that looked like a size 0, I didn't feel like going thought this again. Laura assured me that she always has something as she pulled out a beautiful dress that ended up fitting me perfectly. Not stopping at the dress Laura managed put together the perfect outfit for the party, It included a bag, shawl, and jewelry. Vintage will now be the first store I go to for my fashion needs. When you go into the store Laura becomes your personal stylist. read more
