    Tapas de tomate, muuuuyy ricas
    Melissa N.

Pretty place, great atmosphere, little hard to find parking. The food was ok, nothing spectacular, but we only had an entree and pastas, so we definitely need to come back and try something else. Tapas with tomato are a must, the bread is so good. Fettuccini with mushrooms had a lot of sauce and made it really liquid and hard to eat. Pesto pasta was ok, not a lot of flavor. Good wine selection but in the menu they had craft beers but most of them were not in stock.

This place is a hidden gem. Literally, it's hidden. However, there is a sign and there is a door, and it's on Tecate's main street, just a few meters before the Plazuela (same side of the block). I loved the patio, very inviting and food was OK. I had Fettuccine Alfredo which was very tasty, but my boyfriend had the Sevillana steak and it was not good, to be honest. However, I would come back because of the atmosphere and the great service.

Really nice restaurant & bar, walking distance from El Parque in Tecate. Staff is very attentive. Good appitizers, good wine, good beer. The manager, Robert is very welcoming. We had drinks and a charcouterie board Excellent.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 16 and somehow managed to snag a reservation…read morejust a week out (still feeling lucky because this place is highly sought after). For groups larger than 7, they require a prix fixe menu (5 or 7 courses) with the option to add a wine pairing. We went with the 5 course + wine pairing, which included a welcome drink (gin + cucumber based and very refreshing). The pairing was supposed to include four wines, but we only ended up getting one red and one white with refills which was a bit of a bummer. That said, the red ended up being one of my favorites from the entire trip, so partial win there. Food: absolutely delicious. Everything came out family style, beautifully plated, and perfect for sharing with a big group. No complaints on flavor or execution! 4 stars (and not 5): a few frustrating misses for a high end spot. First... they were out of tequila. In Valle. At this restaurant. What? Lol. Second, we were required to select our main entree in advance (choices were rock fish or suckling pig), only to get a call about an hour before our reservation saying neither would be available. The replacements were a fish (I think salmon?) and pork belly. Don't get me wrong both were good but last min menu changes like that shouldn't really happen at this level. All that said, still a great experience overall. I would come back with a smaller group so I can actually order my own meal and avoid the prix fixe surprises.

The food and atmosphere was great, but unfortunately my group was grossly overcharged. We went here…read morewith a tour guide (Fernando Gaxiola of Baja Food + Wine) and he charged us 30% more than what we actually ate and drank. It's really unfortunate because it put a huge damper on what would've been a great memory and experience. I haven't been able to get refunded for the over-charge, but if it gets resolved, I'll gladly change my review.

I found out about Kan Zaman from a 1 star review of neighbor down the street, called Baba Ali,…read moreacross from Lins Grand Buffet. Reviewer crtisized Baba because they had so little meat for so high a price $30 and that "bigger portions for cheaper prices can be found at Kam Zaman." So here I am. I love lamb and the moussaka lamb shank was recommended to me by my server Alejandra. $23 sounded reasonable to me. Besides the entry in the picture she gave me a basket filled with pita bread and brought me garlic butter and chopped Olive tapenade. I spread that inside the pita with the garlic butter and it was so delicious. I am taking the leftover pieces to put in my toaster oven and heat to crispy and spread the garlic spread and olive tapenade at home yum. I do not live in this area I come from San Diego and Scottsdale arizona. But I am selling my short-term vacation rental in Temecula Wine Country and I don't have any food there because it's not my home. So I found this restaurant through the bubba review. I shall eat here as long as I stay in Temecula the service is warm and welcoming and the food is very satisfying. The portion of the lamb shank and rice was generous so that I save half of it in my own takeout box to have for another dinner with a pita bread. Looking forward to the leftovers. some men win I read the one-star review of no remember Alejandra was my wonderful server, checked up me often

Not our favorite Mediterranean restaurant…read more The Mediterranean food was super mid. I was really unimpressed with the falafel lover meal that only came with 4 falafels on the plate and some rice lol The rice was wet with maybe yogurt? I was not a fan of that. The wet rice was gross. There was only 4 falafels. I love falafel and thought the falafel lover would have more than just 4. Seemed like a rip off for what you get. My husband ordered chicken and rice and the chicken was stew-like. It looked unappetizing and he said it was gross lol I just don't understand the flavors of this Mediterranean place. We would not come back. Ambiance was midrange as it was not too busy and not dead.

Luckily, we were able to secure a table at Quercus. The waiter was prompt and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The chef was also quick to come and ensure that any questions we had about the menu were answered. The bread was served fresh with salsa - a combination I have not had before. Both the green and red salsa were not too spicy and to my surprise, went well with the toasted bread. For our main courses: 1. Grilled Octopus - 5 star presentation! Well seasoned and not chewy - which is something many other restaurants get wrong. The octopus still had a bite, but was still tender enough. It went well with the pickled onions and the guacamole that was served with the dish. 2. Ribeye - Again, excellent presentation befitting of fine dining. This was a huge portion, but well seasoned and not dry. We opted for the 500g (larger) size upon recommendation of our waiter, but probably could have gone for the smaller size. We could not finish it; perhaps if we had 3 people dining. Our meal was paired with an excellent white wine blend from one of the local wineries upon recommendation of our waiter. Highly recommended if you are in the area looking for a restaurant to have dinner at. If I were to describe this place: mediterranean food with a Mexican flare.

I have attached photos of most of the deliciousness! The cheese plate, the tomato soup, and the pork shank were my favorites. I did personally order the grilled octopus, it wasn't cleaned super properly and a lot of bits of it were over the top chewy but did have potential to be great! Also, with being sick I had ordered some hot tea and all I received was hot water with a sprig of mint lol. But all in all this place was amazing!
