The people were so welcoming, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the drinks? Absolutely delicious! The cheese board was HUGE -- definitely enough for 5 people or more. Everything tasted amazing, but I do wish they had a smaller cheeseboard option for couples or smaller groups. Still, overall such a great experience. This trip made me even more excited to come back to Ensenada and explore more high-end fine dining restaurants and vineyards. Such a beautiful place with amazing vibes, food, and people. I already can't wait for more adventures! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're visiting Ensenada.

I ended up doing the tequila tasting since I absolutely suck at drinking wine, and honestly, it was such a fun experience. They paired the tequila with chocolate, spices, and different salts, which made the tasting feel unique, interactive, and way more memorable than I expected. The whole place had a creative, laid-back vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. If you're looking for something different from the usual wine tasting scene, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

Each tasting included four pours, including single varietal whites, reds, and blends. We've been coming to Valle de Guadalupe ("VdG") for about 15 years now, however this was only our second visit to Las Nubes Bodegas y Viñedos. Oscar poured for us this time and we had another wonderful experience. The winery itself sits high up on the hillside on the north side of the valley and affords patrons with amazing views across the vineyards, valley floor, and surrounding mountains. You can sit inside or on their expansive deck with many umbrellas and trellis covered seating areas. Their wines are among our favorites in VdG and the service is excellent. They offer charcuterie boards, sandwiches, oysters, truffled popcorn, cookies, and fruit tarts to pair with your wine selections. Las Nubes is truly a must experience winery when visiting VdG.

We took a couple bottles home with us. What I really loved was all the dogs walking around greeting people. They're all so calm and friendly. The tastings were a little high cost-wise but I think you pay more because of the incredible views.

I was thrilled to see an email on Saturday saying we were welcome for the 2nd tasting of the day and then filled with panic as I saw when it was sent, didn't have service and that time was quickly approaching. Thankfully i got wifi, replied that we would love to be there, got a reply saying we were good to go and off we went. I will thank our luck a large amount on the weather as many people cancelled due to pouring rain and flooded roads. The roads are rough, especially in the rain so a larger vehicle or a tour driver would definitely be beneficial but we made it happen. Upon arrival we were greeted with hugs, conversation, drinks and blankets and it honestly felt like we just showed up to the home of a family member. With the weather, it ended up just being the two of us and another couple who drove out for the day and previously was married at the vineyard which made for the most intimate afternoon tasting. My fiancé (oh that's still weird to say haha) is not really a wine drinker and I don't usually drinks reds but we both loved all 3 years of the tasting and the tapas that come with each were so delicious. One of the pairings was a taco with meat that I don't eat so I gave it to him and was more than thankful when Hilda noticed and asked her team to make a potato taco for me to take part. With the impeccable vibes, Carlos decided this was the right time and place and completely unbeknownst to me he had let James and Hilda know about his plan and they assisted in the greatest intimate proposal I could have ever dreamed of, rain and chilly temperatures and all. After our tasting we all spoke around the table like we had known each other for years and it really was the most special day and experience I could have ever asked for. We will definitely be back sooner than later, especially since we both fell in love with not only the humans on site but vineyard good boy Corcho. Thank you both for your hospitality, I honestly can't express it enough.

Make sure to ring the bell on the outside to let the ladies know you're there. This is a boutique vineyard in that they only make a few varieties and sell only that they have enough of. For example they had the most delicious olive oil made on site but because they only had a few bottles made, it wasn't for sale. You can tell this is not a vineyard looking for profit but quality is a must. If their harvest was minimal and not enough, they won't put it out. Another women owned vineyard, the wine is a little hit or miss. The first time I came I loved the wine and bought a bottle, second time not so much. But the experience was so fun! Lots of story telling and laughs. Each tasting is with bread olive oil and their homemade something in this case it was the marmalade. Absolutely great when drinking as much as you do. I would still return because I just love the intimate atmosphere.

On this trip, Miriam poured for us inside their intimate cave and provided a wonderful and informative tasting experience. They only produced a total of 8 barrels this year and they're currently pouring one rosado/rosé (Grenache & Zinfandel) and two mezcla tintas/red blends (Cabernet Sauvignon & Grenache), all of which are excellent. All parts of production are done by hand, from picking, de-stemming, pressing, and even bottling. They do have a de-stemming machine for the large branches/pieces, but all individual grape stems are pulled off by hand. Really remarkable. We always come back to Tres Mujeres and pick up a couple of bottles to tide us over until our next trip to VdG. I highly recommend you put them on your list of wineries to visit. TIP: There are a couple other small wineries on the same road which are also worth visiting, so definitely check them out. It's easy to visit them all in one day.
