The pizza has an excellent thin, crispy crust. Calzones are very good here as well! One of the better pizza spots in LR!

I was pleasantly surprised. My piece of pizza was great, my side salad was yummy, and Oh Jay cider was good (I'm not really a beer drinker!) The total was $14 and with a tip I paid $20 for a great evening with friends. I loved that there was a local ban playing in the back as well for an additional $10 cover. Highly recommend visiting Vinos if you haven't tried it yet! I'll definitely be back! read more

Trying out Little Rock's microbrewery scene isn't that hard. I think Vino's is it since Bosco's is a chain and so it's just a matter of two places. Vino's also has food so it was a good choice for dinner. The four of us ended up sharing two large pizzas, a Margherita and the house special. For beer we went with the Firehouse and their Imperial stout. The pizza was all right, I have never really liked New York style pizza, I find it too thin and Vino's tries to make it in this style. The Margherita pizza though seemed like a White Pizza with tomatoes which was pretty good. My friends who live here say they always order that and I can see why, it was a good choice. The house special, basically the Supreme was all right, a little on the greasier side. I wouldn't get that again. Beerwise, the Firehouse was a light, easy drinking beer that went down pretty well. A pitcher of it went down very quickly. So quickly, in fact that I wanted their dark beer but they weren't able to sell me a pitcher of it because of the higher alcohol content. Since my friend's wife wasn't interested in a second round 3 did just fine. The stout was smooth with a slight malt nose. I wasn't sure that it's touted alcohol content was very high, it didn't taste very strong but was very drinkable. Vino's Pizza Pub Brewery is Little Rock's first Brewpub. Their handcrafted ale is decent, a nice bastion of hope in a small microbrewery scene. I enjoyed the potent Rock Hopera Imperial IPA. It complimented the delicious pizza pie. The pizza is delicious and decently priced. The atmosphere is typical of a brew pub in an old building. The staff was attentive and helpful. We have heard a lot about this place and finally made it there. We really liked their brews and would give them Five stars but the margherita pizza left a lot to be desired. We did order it with tomatoe sauce otherwise I may not have eaten it. The garlic they put on it appears to be the Minced garlic straight from the jar which gave a fishy taste to the pizza. The flavor could have been so much better if it was given a little roast or toast. Or just fresh garlic. Secondly the basil was dried from a shaker, in the defense it does say crushed basil on the menu but but but Not on a margherita that's the main ingredient. The tomatoes were the perfect amount and as far as service goes they couldn't have been better so five star service as well. I will go back and order a different pizza someday as the crust had promise. read more

This is easily one of my favorite places in the world. Being able to grab some well crafted pizza, some delicious in house root beer and enjoy some live music really makes this place heaven. My 87 yr old father took me to Vino's, one of his favorite places, when I was in town last month. His business was in this neighborhood from the 60's on. So I know he enjoys remembering this place the way it was, back then. Our waitress was great. I had the vegetarian calzone and it was the best! I don't care for heavy bread-y crust...too bloating. Their crust was thin and crisp. It had a nice flakiness to it. It was served with a great tasting red marinara sauce. I can't remember what pizza my dad, daughter and nephew had. It was good but I didn't think it was the best pizza I'd ever had. The calzone is the way to go. And if you like beer, they have a great selection. My dad, daughter and nephew enjoyed a pitcher. My father is always full of surprises. When I called to order the pizza however, the cook on the other end of the phone stated, "We don't condone Yelp or offers from Yelp." I went ahead and ordered the pizza. It wasn't great. We got in around 9:15 on a Monday and they didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing them, we ordered a pineapple (don't hate), pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and a house salad. We received the salad pretty quickly and for the price it was a great deal, my wife loved it. Our pizza was served very fresh out of the oven so we waited for the cheese to settle a bit and dived in. The quality of the toppings was apparent, good. The crust was also good, we just prefer a fluffier, more doughy crust. I think I personally would have been more impressed with one of their specialty pizzas, I'm always a believer in trying out what the house recommends. Would go back. This was just plum good pizza and beer. The pizza is a thicker hand tossed type crust which is really good. I really like the meatball topping which we had with other meat toppings to make a superb pizza. We also ordered a side of their rich marinara sauce which was great to use on the pizza and crust. We also ordered the Henry Bread as an appetizer and that was how we discovered the marinara sauce. The Henry Bread was fantastic, but not very big so order accordingly. We split it amongst 4 people and we each got a small sliver of the bread which is cheesy bread with pepperoni and jalapeños. The bartender from Rebel Kettle recommended we try this place out. She told us that Vino's was the beginning of brewing in Little Rock. They have a small list of beers brewed on site. We went the small local list and really enjoyed the Pinnacle IPA and Six Bridges Cream Ale. They have a pretty big draft list overall, and the pizza is amazing. I had a slice of the Vino's special. As pizza and beer go I must say that Vino's is a small oasis amongst the establishment of fast mediocrity. I didn't know about this 'joint' until I started hanging out with Team Bulldog upon my return to LR. If it's the simple but awesome combination of pizza and beer that you crave then come to Vino's to make it happen. It's not for the fancy wood fired types, but for the common man who wants a great NY-esque slice. I've never had a bad slice, and the variety is pretty fantastic. (disclaimer: i'm not calling it new york pizza by any means, but the size and styling has an 'esque' quality to it.) You know what else is fantastic...? The soundtrack. Always solid and promising. They're playing Queens Of The Stone Age as I sit here to type this review and sip at my IPA. An IPA that they brewed onsite, and as IPAs go it is delicious with the right amount of hopssss. This Sunday routine has become old hat, and I'll wear this hat and wear it well. If it's a slice and a beer you crave then come here to embrace the offerings of Vino's. Not friendly but not overtly rude either. I do hate waiting 30 minutes for two single slices of pepperoni pizza. Pizza is BLAND to say the least. Super thin crust, too much sauce, and virtually no cheese. Sauce taste like canned tomato paste. Overall, unimpressed. Should have walked farther and got Something else. I super could have done without the VERY sweaty guy running to the back door( by my table) and back to the brew station. And please, PLEASE, do a deep clean. Loved this place! I had forgotten I'd been here once in the summer before last...ate outside in their upstairs balcony...great atmosphere. Has a local pub feel to it...like you get the feeling all the customers are regulars here. Very comfy, chill atmosphere. But let's talk food: most excellent. Pizza by the slice and calzones and beer. I don't even drink beer, but I kinda feel like if I did, this experience would've been that much more awesome. It feels like the place you need to order beer with your pizza. My boyfriend has no complaints about their brew selection. I ordered a large salad and a slice of Vino's special....crust was crispy and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I could've used more dressing on my salad, but that's a preference thing. In fact, in this recent period of so much buzz about all the new up and coming micro-breweries in town, people seem to have forgotten that Vino's has been brewing great beer for about 20 or more years now. If I judged them on food and beer quality alone, I'd give them five stars, but sometimes the service can be not so great, among other things. They are true to what they always have been and the pizza is in my opinion, amongst the best to be had anywhere. Your going to experience, a mostly friendly staff. Vino's is considered a 'cool' place to work by the hipster/cool kid standard, the attitude reflects. Just remember they may appear scary, with their tattoos, piercings, and snotty attitude, but its just a look ... they are posers. Once you get past the service, the food has always been merely okay, and best consumed after a few beers. They get their ingredients from Sysco or the other large food distributors, so average is the theme. A side piece of useless knowledge for a long time in central Arkansas they were the only place which sold 16" large pizzas, besides Godfathers and Pizza D's. The beer is what delivers the 5 star rating. Vino's has been brewing beer since 1993, and was the first micro brewery in Central Arkansas. They have been consistently brewing beer before it was the cool thing to do. Unlike, the other young micro's around the area Vino's doesn't rely on gimmick (and mostly inconsistent) beers to fleece consumers of their money. Vinos has been brewing the same beers for years, perfecting the finished product. I was once super pumped about the micro brew explosion in Arkansas. However, after trying out the local beers and realizing most of the new breweries brew at a novice level. I found myself coming back to Vino's for good micro brew. read more

It's a total dive of a brew pub that serves great pizza. I can't speak for their beer because I came here twice for lunch and needed to go back to work, but it's hard to beat either their lunch special (a large slice & a salad) or the calzones. Great sauce, great crust, and friendly people. Tip: if you don't like the smell of yeast, don't sit in the room with the brewery. It kind of comes with the territory. read more

I will preface this with this. I have frequented Vino's multiple times in the past. I have found it very hit and miss. However, today was the final straw. The Mrs. and I decided to go there for lunch. The place was not particularly busy. I ordered a medium Vino's Special pizza, my wife, a half chicken sandwich. We waited for 30 minutes. The pizza, when it came out, was a large. One would think 'win', however, it was so soggy in the middle, it was as if someone poured a cup of water on the pizza. Absolutely disgusting. My wife's 'half sandwich' was burned, with s hair on the plate. I am not exaggerating. I promptly returned the pie to the counter and told them to throw it in the garbage. Absolute prison slop. I will not be back. Management should take note of this. Your business will not remain long in this world if you continue to produce simmering garbage from your kitchen. I will NEVER return. I'm confused by the four star review. Based on my experience there wasn't anything spectacular about this pizza place. It's in a funky/dicey old building, which is cool but that was the extent of what I really enjoyed. The beer, I had the pale ale, was decent. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, it came out in about 20 minutes. The taste was OK but the sauce was reminiscent of a DiGorno's frozen pizza. Two beers and a medium pizza was $23. Based on the price, service and food, I can't say I'm looking forward to returning. The next time I'm in town, I'll check out another pizza place. read more

It's a village in here! First, there's the front taproom/quick eating space, for beers and the fastest service (awesome brews too, with obscure local guest taps, and a good selection from Vino's own venerable classics!) Then, there's the dining area (or two) for larger groups, a little more privacy, and bigger tables if you're going all-out on the pizza. After that, the place just keeps going. There's a concert stage, a backroom with a projector for movie nights, and private dining area for large parties - this place has it all :) I really enjoyed the beers, some of the better old-brewery beers I've had, and the selection of guest beers was awesome and very unique. But the stand-out of my visit was the calzone. That thing was HUGE, and I picked my own weird fillings, and it came out hot and ready to feed me for a week! Great spot! read more
