She was a joy to work with and really knew her stuff about the quality and value of the different qualities of designs and wallpapers that we are considering. We have not necessarily decided to go with them just yet, as we are awaiting our estimate, because apparently only one person there can give out pricing and Karen is not that person, but she was a delight to work with nonethelessless.

You get what you pay for…read more My husband and I hired Alvarado Construction to paint our home, paint our shed, and replace/repair some areas that needed some attention. We went through the Home Deport preferred contractor site and was contacted by Danny of Alvarado Construction. He came out and gave us a quote, we explained our budget, and Danny worked with us and took on the job. It took the crew about three days to complete the job, and they exceeded our expectations. They pressure washed our home areas that were to be painted, caulked every window and seam, and took their time to double check that everything was done to perfection and left everything nice and clean upon completion. It was a plus to be able to use our credit card for the expense and we didn't have to pay until the work was completed. We love the way everything turned out and would definitely refer Alvardo Construction for any painting and construction needs.

We originally hired this company to paint and texture our walls, and per the contract, we were…read moreasked to put down a one time fee of 25% I believe. Quickly, Tino began asking for money every Thursday, even when he would not work a full week but miraculously show up on Thursday waiting for us to get off work to write a check. I NEVER write bad reviews but what started as a paint/texture/trim job that was to be done to our entire downstairs, quickly moved into Tino taking on the role of contractor for our kitchen Reno. I will sum up the problems and try to make this as short as I can: 1. Like many younger contractors, he lives paycheck to paycheck, which leads to screwing over clients. He often had to buy supplies twice because of his mistakes and would expect us to pay. He not only left our personal belongings outside, he would leave brand new trim outside and let it get rained on. He has never finished one single job - even painting, which he was hired to do at the beginning of the year. His guys could not apply texture to save their lives and we have shown him and he doesn't fix it. 2. He was supposed to be done with everything May 26th. It is Sept 2. We still can't even use our kitchen, which includes appliances he was supposed to install but instead just moved around. 3. There are so many more but I'll stop with what was done to our window above the sink. When he realized it was a tight fit, he decided to break and smash outside bricks that will be quite hard to replace. Who does that? And then...he disappeared. He is using our home images on yelp as if he should show it off. Well guess what, after spending thousands of dollars since those photos were taken, it still looks as unfinished as those pictures.
