Love this store. This is definitely preppy and fits well with the New England vibe, but the fabric itself is extremely durable and their colors are always exciting. It is a chain, specially in this part of the country and you see them in all the prominent towns. Prices are steep, but the quote holds on and they do have sidewalk sales during the summer where you can get better bargains. One note of caution, their sizes run bigger so if you are a large, medium maybe a better fit here. read more

I'm shocked to see all the negative reviews. We love their clothes and the material is super soft. We recently ordered again and somehow had it shipped to an address we haven't lived at in over 5 years. I emailed and within 20 minutes they returned my email and are shipping them out again to our correct address. They didn't have to do that, it was our mistake but they were generous enough to fix our mistake with 20 minutes. Bravo Vineyard Vines! **edit - AND they overnighted them: amazing'! read more

Theres plenty fake review sites for this company where its impossible to leave your OWN REAL review. Big red flag. Heres mine.. Fabric ISNT soft and tailoring is designed for the obese. Im a 6', 175 lb guy, with a waistline 32'. That covers a huge percentage of male population and the length of shirt arms and body of shirt is appropriate for a large but the mid body of shirt is much wider than the shoulders And the quality of fabric is so stiff that it doesn't conquer to the body to lay a little more flat. Looks disgusting. Like something A young teenager may have tailored in home economics class. $170 for an experiment to see if it shrinks down in the right areas, lol, and fabric loosens a little. Do not approach this company. Terrible integrity. read more

You see them everywhere.... You see them in the Hamptons You might even see them in NYC. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's a pink whale! Vineyard Vines is all about preppy. You see mostly pastel colors on the floor. It's very airy, very sea-foamy blue, heavy ropes and decorated with large ocean up on their walls. Vineyard Vines is a family shop. Clothing is well made and tagged with their trademark whale. I might leave with at least an item or two- at most. Price you ask? It's Vineyard Vines. It's Greenwich. Go figure. Just look for their sales. read more

I very recently ordered a $148 quarter zip shirt. You figure when you spend that type of money on a shirt, you would get good service. No! And when they admit that they made a mistake, it isn't followed by an apology, but instead they attach a link that tells me what their delivery policy is. They have lost a long time customer. read more

Customer service is non existent. Products sent incorrectly with no apology or accountability. Communication with this company gives impression they dont give a shit and customers should be honoured to even get a reply. Do not buy from them. Overpriced shit. They have no return policy or price adjustment policy displayed anywhere in their store or printed on their receipts. My boyfriend purchased merchandise that went down within 10 days and they refused to give a price adjustment and one of the idiot high school kids ordered him a sweater he didn't want. I e-mailed the company asking about the policy and they were of no help and only wanted me to make an online purchase. HA as if. The women's clothing here is atrocious and frumpy. Your better off shopping here for men or boys. read more

I couldn't check the status of my order because I skipped the step of creating an account so I had to phone in and Britney picked up and was a doll! Took me 5 minutes to know that they'd deliver my tie by Friday - awesome!! My only gripe was that I left a personalized message for a birthday that contained commas, explanation marks and periods which they completely left out in the final card. SoprettymuchitsoundedlikeIwasacompletedumbassornotusingcorrectpunctuation. The tie was pretty kick ass though :) read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Placed an order online and had to return a shirt. Sent the shirt back and was received by Vineyard Vines on July 20. I have called four times and email three times checking on my $100 refund. Was given lip service that the refund had been issued followed up by an email saying I should (waste more of my time) call my credit card company. I DID contact my cc company and disputed the charge. Terrible customer experience! Never buying from them again. Bought a button down shirt with a discount over Labour Day weekend, but it was never delivered even though I got a confirmation email. Two weeks later, when I tried calling the number on the email, it was not working. Then I sent an email and they responded that they were sorry but the item I bought was out of stock. However, it is one of their most popular items and it has been available on the website since (only not with the discount). I then wrote a review on their website, but was never published. Simply terrible and dishonest! read more

With awesome beach-ware and other nautical exemplarys V.V. is perfect for anyone hitting the beach north of the OBX. With prints much like that of Vilebrequin; constantly changing rhythmic whales, turtles, beach balls there is always an item you don't have or always wanted. For the business man in mind, they have great ties that are exact replicas (only cooler) than Ferragamo with repeating miniature animals, toys, etc... And for the accessory junky there are tons of flip flops, pattern belts, hats, shirts, etc to keep you busy till next fall. Enjoy. read more

Vineyard Vines I am SO disappointed in you. We received a swimming suit that didn't fit so I emailed the company to see if we could return it. After getting no reply for a week, I called to make sure that we didn't have to pay return shipping and that we could ship the suit back.. The vineyard vines employee said WE COULD. So I immediately shipped it back. (And never got my refund). Fast forward three weeks, today I received an email from vineyard vines saying that they won't refund me AND they have the suit still. #annoyed #poorbusiness read more

I have a ton of Vineyard Vine clothes and ties and it was great to be able to try on their stuff in a store since I usually have to order everything. Vineyard Vines shirts come in a collegiate cut which is great. It is essentially their athletic fit and their stuiff fits me perfectly. Their clothes aren't for everyone but I am a fan. They are a little more expensive than Banan Republic but I think their quality is a lot better overall. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS with. Purchased 2 shirts on 9/9/17. They shipped only 1 shirt. I had to call on Tuesday, 9/12/17 to find out where the other shirt is. They stated it was allocated to another store and should ship soon. I had to call again today to see where the other shirt is. Representative told me "it should ship soon". Well, When is the question. She couldn't answer that. She said a store in Connecticut has it. She could have gone above and beyond if she had told me "I will call the store and find out when it will ship". She did not. I had to tell her to call the store. I'm basically doing her job. After spending this amount of money, I received poor customer service from Grace. read more

The typical New England look with a personality of its own. Everyone who is anyone has a little whale on at least one item of clothing. The selection of men's and children's clothing is colorful and refreshing, however the range of women's clothing is somewhat limiting with only a beach bag or belt that might be worth your time and effort. read more

I was on the website to order 3 shirts (which are not in expensive) and when I used a gift card for a small portion and put the balance on my American Express no where is the amount listed on the receipt of what amount was charged to my American Express Card. I called to ask how would know what was charged on my credit card and was told that when you use a gift card you take the amount off of the order total and that the difference would be the amount that is charged. Not sure how I would know that and also don't know if I am comfortable placing an order without knowing how much is being charged to my card. I spoke with a Karen and a supervisor Shane and am not sure either understood that this is not a good business practice and that the system is very misleading and not transparent. It took 16 minutes to place the order and another 19 minutes on the phone discussing the situation. Did get alot of apologies but no solid resolution. Will definately think twice before ordering from Vineyard Vines again if this system stays the same. read more

A great answer if you are just looking for the basics. This location also well stocked given proximity to where the founders grew up

I have been purchasing Vineyard Vines before it went mainstream and loved their product. I am a big guy and it fits me very well. I wear it head to ankles for many years. I have had a few issues in the past with returns and had a small imperfection in a pair of pants. Running a business myself i decided to email one of the owners Shep. Amazing that within 30 minutes i had an answer back on a weekend as well a call first thing this morning shipping out the new product. Also they apologized for customer service and admitted to the fact they were not staffed properly. No excuses just solutions. This just proved to me what i knew already a company with excellent product has people behind it that care and will do it what it takes to make it even better. Thank you Vineyard Vines i will always be a customer for life and i am proud to do business with a great company. read more

While I love the product the return process for items shipped serves the company not the customer. They do not provide a return form or shipping label with your order. You have to go to their website and process the return and print a return shipping label. It works well for them if your printer will not print the label. You have to pay for the return shipping and without their label, they will not process or credit the return. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Vineyard Vines. They had a false advertisement on their website and did not offer any compensation for it. I know this is a relatively small issue but I purchased the item because of the picture on their website. The item was a long sleeve t-shirt with the Vineyard Vines logo on the shirt and down one of the sleeves. It is clearly pictured on their website with the logo down the sleeve. When I received the item the logo was not one the sleeves. I called their customer service phone number (after waiting several minutes on the phone) and was provided an email address to find a way to rectify the situation. They took several days to get back to me and once they did (after three emails) told me that "I apologize as the picture on the website was incorrect and the item does not have the logo on the sleeve. Would you like to keep the shirt or I can send you a return label?" No, let me correct this and get you a shirt with a logo on it, no we will refund your purchase, nothing like that. Just send it back on us. Since it is a gift I can't send it back. Other outfits/companies would offer a refund, keep the shirt and let us replace it with something we promised you! They promoted something on their website that did not exist and therefore committed falls advertising. They are a very expensive brand and I would have expected SO MUCH better. read more

Nice people and nice place. They were very helpful with the items im looking for. Thank you very much!

I ordered a shirt 12 days ago that has not even SHIPPED. I was told 6 days ago, "It's shipping today." Then I was told yesterday "It's shipping today." Still has not shipped, calling to cancel order. Now I'm scrambling to replace those Christmas gifts. For the cost of the product, you'd think their ordering and shipment process would be better!! Never buying from them! read more

Went in on a whim with my husband and son. The saleswoman who helped us, Bing, was so great. She talked to us, showed us where the item was that we were looking for, left us alone to shop, then circled back to us to offer additional assistance. We had been in another children's store down the street prior to going to VV, and at the other store they barely acknowledged us. We were so happy to pick up a couple items for our son at Vineyard Vines with Bing instead, and really appreciated the way she made our visit so special and so easy! read more

I wish I had seen these other reviews BEFORE I placed my almost $900 order. Most of my order came with the exception of 2 identical pieces that I ordered. When the 2 pieces arrived, one was what I ordered and the other was completely NOT what I ordered and paid for. I returned it to a store (which was 45 minutes away from our home) to only find out that this item is no longer available and there is nothing they can do. No one could explain to me that I ordered 2 identical items, they are listed as "available" online, I paid for them and then Vineyard Vines only sends one and something totally different. I called their customer services and they said, "sorry...nothing we can do." In the meantime, there is a "newer model" item online that is identical to what we purchased only it's now $30.00 more and the company would not do the right thing and send that instead for THEIR MISTAKE !!! Think twice before shopping at Vineryard Vines. We have been a loyal customers of theirs for many years, but not anymore. Go to J.Crew !!! Better customer service and they would have done the right thing to make their customers happy. read more

My grandchildren love VIneyard Vines clothing and I purchased three items at Christmas Time. One shirt did not fit, this granddaughter does not live close by so I reordered a shirt for her and had it sent directly to her home. I was able to visit with her at the end of January and picked up the shirt and mailed it directly back to Vineyard Vines. Also asked to two t-shirts and two pairs of socks as an exchange and instructed them to charge to the original form of payment. HAVE NOT HEARD EVEN ONE WORD. I sent it back through UPS with a tracking number. Vineyard Vines received the package on 2/3/17. They have not acknowledged getting the package or replacing the item or issued a refund. Called customer service and I was on hold for so long I gave up. Will not shop on line EVER again. Terrible way to do business.
