Love this store. This is definitely preppy and fits well with the New England vibe, but the fabric itself is extremely durable and their colors are always exciting. It is a chain, specially in this part of the country and you see them in all the prominent towns. Prices are steep, but the quote holds on and they do have sidewalk sales during the summer where you can get better bargains. One note of caution, their sizes run bigger so if you are a large, medium maybe a better fit here. read more

I'm shocked to see all the negative reviews. We love their clothes and the material is super soft. We recently ordered again and somehow had it shipped to an address we haven't lived at in over 5 years. I emailed and within 20 minutes they returned my email and are shipping them out again to our correct address. Im a 6', 175 lb guy, with a waistline 32'. That covers a huge percentage of male population and the length of shirt arms and body of shirt is appropriate for a large but the mid body of shirt is much wider than the shoulders And the quality of fabric is so stiff that it doesn't conquer to the body to lay a little more flat. Looks disgusting. Like something A young teenager may have tailored in home economics class. $170 for an experiment to see if it shrinks down in the right areas, lol, and fabric loosens a little. I have a ton of Vineyard Vine clothes and ties and it was great to be able to try on their stuff in a store since I usually have to order everything. Vineyard Vines shirts come in a collegiate cut which is great. It is essentially their athletic fit and their stuiff fits me perfectly. Their clothes aren't for everyone but I am a fan. I was on the website to order 3 shirts (which are not in expensive) and when I used a gift card for a small portion and put the balance on my American Express no where is the amount listed on the receipt of what amount was charged to my American Express Card. I called to ask how would know what was charged on my credit card and was told that when you use a gift card you take the amount off of the order total and that the difference would be the amount that is charged. Not sure how I would know that and also don't know if I am comfortable placing an order without knowing how much is being charged to my card. I spoke with a Karen and a supervisor Shane and am not sure either understood that this is not a good business practice and that the system is very misleading and not transparent. It took 16 minutes to place the order and another 19 minutes on the phone discussing the situation. Did get alot of apologies but no solid resolution. I have been purchasing Vineyard Vines before it went mainstream and loved their product. I am a big guy and it fits me very well. I wear it head to ankles for many years. I have had a few issues in the past with returns and had a small imperfection in a pair of pants. Running a business myself i decided to email one of the owners Shep. Amazing that within 30 minutes i had an answer back on a weekend as well a call first thing this morning shipping out the new product. Also they apologized for customer service and admitted to the fact they were not staffed properly. No excuses just solutions. This just proved to me what i knew already a company with excellent product has people behind it that care and will do it what it takes to make it even better. While I love the product the return process for items shipped serves the company not the customer. They do not provide a return form or shipping label with your order. You have to go to their website and process the return and print a return shipping label. It works well for them if your printer will not print the label. You have to pay for the return shipping and without their label, they will not process or credit the return. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Vineyard Vines. They had a false advertisement on their website and did not offer any compensation for it. I know this is a relatively small issue but I purchased the item because of the picture on their website. The item was a long sleeve t-shirt with the Vineyard Vines logo on the shirt and down one of the sleeves. It is clearly pictured on their website with the logo down the sleeve. When I received the item the logo was not one the sleeves. I called their customer service phone number (after waiting several minutes on the phone) and was provided an email address to find a way to rectify the situation. They took several days to get back to me and once they did (after three emails) told me that "I apologize as the picture on the website was incorrect and the item does not have the logo on the sleeve. Would you like to keep the shirt or I can send you a return label?" No, let me correct this and get you a shirt with a logo on it, no we will refund your purchase, nothing like that. Just send it back on us. Since it is a gift I can't send it back. Other outfits/companies would offer a refund, keep the shirt and let us replace it with something we promised you! They promoted something on their website that did not exist and therefore committed falls advertising. They are a very expensive brand and I would have expected SO MUCH better. read more

She talked to us, showed us where the item was that we were looking for, left us alone to shop, then circled back to us to offer additional assistance. We had been in another children's store down the street prior to going to VV, and at the other store they barely acknowledged us. I wish I had seen these other reviews BEFORE I placed my almost $900 order. Most of my order came with the exception of 2 identical pieces that I ordered. When the 2 pieces arrived, one was what I ordered and the other was completely NOT what I ordered and paid for. I returned it to a store (which was 45 minutes away from our home) to only find out that this item is no longer available and there is nothing they can do. No one could explain to me that I ordered 2 identical items, they are listed as "available" online, I paid for them and then Vineyard Vines only sends one and something totally different. I called their customer services and they said, "sorry...nothing we can do." In the meantime, there is a "newer model" item online that is identical to what we purchased only it's now $30.00 more and the company would not do the right thing and send that instead for THEIR MISTAKE !!! Think twice before shopping at Vineryard Vines. We have been a loyal customers of theirs for many years, but not anymore. Go to J.Crew !!! My grandchildren love VIneyard Vines clothing and I purchased three items at Christmas Time. One shirt did not fit, this granddaughter does not live close by so I reordered a shirt for her and had it sent directly to her home. I was able to visit with her at the end of January and picked up the shirt and mailed it directly back to Vineyard Vines. Also asked to two t-shirts and two pairs of socks as an exchange and instructed them to charge to the original form of payment. HAVE NOT HEARD EVEN ONE WORD. I sent it back through UPS with a tracking number. Vineyard Vines received the package on 2/3/17. They have not acknowledged getting the package or replacing the item or issued a refund. Called customer service and I was on hold for so long I gave up. Will not shop on line EVER again. Terrible way to do business.
