We just wanted to say thank you for taking care of Willie again. Everyone is so nice and they treated him like a King. You guys kept him safe and Warm and told us funny stories about his stay there. We really appreciate all you do and will continue to recommend you guys to everyone. Thank you for the great time. Merry Christmas, Love Willie

Sit and watch your dog go to the ER!!

I had no idea Reese's made dog treats!! They leave yummy peanut butter cup treats out for the dogs at Vineyard Kennels, how nice!! No wonder the dogs are so happy! I'm almost jealous!! Just IGNORE the facilities and mayyybe you will FEEL safe leaving your furry family members here! Take a tour like we did, and see for yourself!!!

My happy furbaby as happy as can be from his lil vacation at Vineyard Kennels

We used Vineyard Kennels again... and once again both us and my furbaby are happy campers. Sure he was dirty but that means he had fun playing in the yards that are secure. I will always recommend this boarding kennel. Thank you to the staff that cares for all the dogs, your awesome.

A very tired Oakley in the car after boarding!

A kennel run by dog-lovers. Our puppy loves to visit, even for overnights. He especially loves the swimming pool! Happy dog!

This review is very difficult for me to write. We boarded our 1 year old yellow lab with Susan once…read morebefore and that stay had gone well. He came home filthy, but that is to be expected. We decided to board him again for the weekend we were moving from Paso to SLO to avoid having him underfoot with the movers. When I picked him up on Sunday he was standing at the gate with a sad look in his eyes. He jumped into the back of the car as fast as he could and immediately began crying. He was caked in mud so we took him directly to Lemo's pet store for a bath. He cried the whole way there. I was shocked because I have never heard him cry like that before. Susan mentioned that 2 of the bigger dogs had been obsessed with our dog and they "played" a lot so I thought he must just be really tired. During his bath he cried the entire time. As the mud washed away I was sickened to see mud crusted/bloody sores all over him, along with a bite mark on his neck. Then I noticed the bottom of his paws were blistered, swollen and raw. My poor baby. When we got home, my fiancé called Susan to find out what had happened. She played dumb and said the two dogs were chasing him around and trying to bite his collar. She separated them for a bit and then let them at it again. My poor dog was bullied for 3 days and she did nothing to keep him safe. As for his paws... it was 108 in Paso that weekend and the vet said his paws were burned from running around on the hot concrete. Her response was that she has shade for the dogs. Well apparently, her little shade tarp is not sufficient. I imagine my poor dog doing anything he can to get away from the other dogs and sacrificing his poor paws in the act of trying to get away. Our poor dog has been so traumatized that for the first 3 days he was home he would startle and start barking aggressively at any small noise. I know Susan means well and would never intentionally let a dog be hurt, but it has been heartbreaking to see our dog suffer from staying at her kennel. It seems like maybe she should charge more and have fewer dogs so that she is able to manager them better. All I know is that my dog will never be left there, or at any kennel again.

Upon meeting Susan, during the get-to-know each other phase, our family immediately felt at ease. As our dogs began their stay with Susan, her attention to communication throughout their stay continued to be a great encouragement to know that they were in very capable hands. We will definitely bring our dogs back to Susan during our next vacation!

Sarah, the trainer, had the perfect background credentials, self-confidence and philosophy so I signed up my dog to be trained by her at the dog resort. The protocols for safety (physically and emotionally) at the facility are outstanding. Soon,I met with Sarah and she developed a training proposal which I approved. My dog came home from daycare TIRED and less clingy each time he went there. When his training was complete, I was shown how to do the trainer's commands and motions and now my dog's demeanor in our home and in public is calmer and our relationship is at a new level of trust and respect (both ways). I feel very pleased with both Lucky Dog and Sarah and highly recommend both for both daycare, boarding and training

That alone speaks volumes! He absolutely loves the dog pool parties, yard time, and group play with other dogs, but one of my favorite things as a pet parent is getting photo updates of his one-on-one enrichment sessions. Whether it's a cuddle session, a game of fetch, or some extra love and attention, it means the world to me to see him so engaged and joyful! Those updates are such a special touch, and they make me feel like I'm right there with him. The staff at Lucky Dog Pet Resort is amazing. They're kind and you can tell they genuinely care about every single dog. It doesn't feel like just another boarding facility, it feels like Sam is staying with people who know him and love having him there. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, secure, and clearly designed with dogs in mind. The play yards, pool area, and even the enrichment activities are what make Lucky Dog feel like a true luxury pet resort. I honestly wouldn't take Sam anywhere else! If you're in San Luis Obispo County and looking for the best dog daycare or overnight dog boarding, Lucky Dog Pet Resort is the place. I live in San Luis Obipso but driving to Lucky Dog is well worth the drive to know I have a peace of mind, happy dog, and a team that goes above and beyond!
