These folks could not have been more wonderful. We boarded Laila for the night, and she is not used to kennels and was very nervous. They were nice enough to find her a special room away from the other dogs (they can't always do this, but were able to on our weekend). The people were great - especially Sabria. It's obvious this is not just a business to them, but a passion. We'll be back! read more

We have left our big dogs here to over the last couple of years when we need to. They are always accommodating, friendly and take great care of our animals. Always let them out to play and run around. Happy dogs!! read more

I just picked up my dog and cat on the Sunday following Thanksgiving. The kennel wanted to charge me an extra ten dollars, for the Sunday night saying is was a holiday extra charge. As a loyal repeat customer for the past 6 years I question this extra charge. The holiday was Thursday not Sunday. I said I would not pay the extra charge so the staff said they would have the owner talk with me. The owner called and I expressed my displeasure in this charge. He stated that the charge was posted on his website and on the wall. I have never read all of the clutter notices on his wall or have had reason to visit his website. I said that I did not feel that this extra charge was fair or an "honest" charge. With a raised voice, he told me not to come back to his kennel...his wish is granted. You make the decision if you choose to place your pets with the dishonest and very rude man. read more

I had to kennel my dog for a couple of months and the kennel was recommended to me from a awesome dog trainer. He's been there for about 3 weeks and he loves the place, like the other reviewer said, dirty but worn out and happy. He has been able to socialize, which was a must for us. He looks calmer and is doing really good with the other dogs. Staff is very friendly and is able to describe how well he is doing. Did I mention that I live 3 hours away from the Kennel? I visit him every weekend I can. Highly recommended. Great price. Its worth the trip! read more

I have been taking my dog there (Taz) for 5 years. That is the only place I ever felt comfortable with leaving him . They treat him with lots of love and care. His energetic and happy reaction that he gets when we arrive says it all. Highly recommend this place . read more

My husband and I needed a place to board our dogs at the last minute while going to a wedding in Paso Robles so we did a quick web search and compared the different kennels in town. We chose Vineyard Kennels because of the great price and location. We were extremely pleased with our experience, the staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable leaving our dogs with them. The facility is clean and well supervised and they sent us photos of our dogs playing throughout the weekend. We will definitely board our dogs here again! read more

Although I have reviewed Vineyard Kennels before, I feel I need to reinforce how wonderful this place is. I just picked up my boys and they both have a big "smile" on their faces. The staff continues to go above and beyond to accommodate my and my dogs needs and I would not consider taking them anywhere else. Thank you Vineyard Kennels for keeping my boys safe and happy. read more

So happy my husband found this place! We were visiting some of his family in the area and we all went to Firestone Brewery (5 minu for a tour. We didn't want to ask my mother-in-law to watch our new dog, since she was also on babysitting duty. My husband did a quick search and found this place! We read all the reviews and all the information on their website and figured we'd give it a try. A bit of confusion when we dropped him off (the girl was new and a little overwhelmed at the time), but it all worked out quickly and easily. We picked him up 2ish hours later and he was so happy. They partnered him with a dog that he loved so his usual separation anxiety was not an issue. As we drove away he fell asleep, worn out from playing with his new friend. Will definitely return! read more

As a very particular puppy mom, I am so grateful and thankful to the staff at Vineyard Kennels for taking good care of my girl. The dogs get a lot of exercise, so my girl came home tired and is resting well. Thank you read more

Great care for our dog while we were in vacation. The locations is roomy and they truly care about your animal.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I use their doggy day care while I'm at work and I couldn't be happier with them. The staff are super friendly and their hours are flexible (which is really nice with my insane work schedule). Also Sabria is one of the best grooms I've met! My little guy tends to get himself pretty filthy on a regular basis and Sabria is always able to fit him in quickly and has him looking great when I pick him up. If you're looking for a groom, I highly recommend her. Their prices are also super reasonable. I couldn't ask for a better place for my little guy while I'm at work. read more

I love love love boarding my dog here. I am a former resident of Paso Robles, but now live in Northern CA. Every time we come to visit, we kennel our dog here. The staff are nice and attentive to the dogs, and really make sure they tailor your dog's social experience(s) to their individual personality. They make the whole process easy, and the price can't be beat. I'll recommend them any day for a no fuss kennel experience. read more

We drove in from Arizona and dropped our boy off at Vineyard Kennels. He was happy to go in and happy when we picked him up. He was super exhausted and smiling as we drove away. The prices are very reasonable. The dogs go out multiple times a day in the yards to get exercise and have fun. Unfortunately my dog is not social so he was kept separate for everyone's safely but it was obvious when we picked him up he had a great time. My only complaint was it smelled like a vets office but I guess that's to be expected with lots of dogs. We would definitely drop our boy off here again next time we are in town. read more

Such a great place. They were able to accommodate us on same day notice during holiday schedule. Our dog was happy to stay. Tail was wagging all the way out the door. Will board again. read more

This place is great. The employees are friendly and informative & they have decent prices. You can tell they love dogs here. They want to know all about your dog to make sure he/she has a great time. They have beds in all the kennels and lots of space for them to run and play during "recess". We went out of town & dropped our yellow lab off for an overnight stay. She was so tired when we got home and I'm sure she's already looking forward to her next visit. Overnight is $18 if you pick up by 12pm and it's only $10 for the day. Close to 101 / Hwy 46 W in Paso. read more

I selected Vineyard Kennels for my dogs over ten years ago. When I toured the facility and interviewed the staff, I was impressed that they knew each dog by name and by their individual personality, and that they keep a calmly organized routine. My dogs have enjoyed going in, and are always happy and tired when we return home. I have confidence in Vineyard Kennel to take the best care of my furry loved ones for days or weeks (and that means a lot!). read more

We tried different kennels in the past, and this is the first one our dog is really comfortable with. They are always kind and our dog Uno is always well taken care of. We use them several times a year for one week at a time. We are very happy with them and I would highly recommend them. Vinyard kennels is the best, and the groomer is great and reasonable. read more

We love it here! Jake and Bronson have a blast there! You all were so awesome when had our baby. Took great care of the boys till we got home. They will be back to visit soon! Thank you for giving us peace of mind with our furry kids! read more

Our dogs love Vineyard Kennel! They can hardly wait to get out of the car and head inside. We have been boarding Rebel, our mini schnauzer and Thor, our bull Terrier since they were both pups and we have been very happy with the care and the customer service. Staff are always friendly and we appreciate knowing that our boys are well taken care. :0) read more

My dog is always dirty, tired and happy after a weekend here! Great kennel, especially for the price. Under $20/day!

We used Vineyard Kennels over Labor Day weekend, I have to say this is the best kennel experience we've ever had! The staff is so wonderful, I felt at ease leaving my pooch with them from the moment I walked it. I even got text updates on how he was doing! My pup is still intact and our experience with other kennels is that they keep him separated with all the other animals. He is very social and wonderful with other dogs and cats too! But that was not the case here. They allowed him to play with the other dogs. He enjoyed his mini vacation just as much as we did! We will diffidently be back! I would highly recommend using Vineyard Kennels on your next trip up to Paso! read more

We took our two dogs to be boarded for the first time and I must say, I am so pleased with the experience! Our dogs came home happy, relaxed, and clearly tired from the fun they had. I was so nervous leaving them, but the worry left once I met the people who worked there. We will most definitely board with them again and recommend to all of our friends! read more

When my husband and I go wine tasting we like taking our 85lb black lab Samantha with us. She loves playing at Vineyard Kennels with all the other big dogs. The staff is always helpful and friendly. We love the dog groomer on site. Our Samantha is always nice and mellow and smells good for the drive home. Highly recommend Vineyard kennels! read more

If you like immaculate surroundings then this place might not be for you The staff does their best but it is simply a hodge podge of buildings in the country. But-it has the BEST play yard around, and I love that for my dogs. I don't want them shut up in a tiny kennel. And when I pick up my tired dogs with their big smiles, I know they got their fill of the yard and played the whole time I was gone. read more

I've taken my dog to this kennel twice, but I likely won't be returning for a third. They are very reasonably priced. The first time we got my dog, he had kennel cough, which they warned us was likely to happen even with vaccinations. The second time, when I picked up my dog his hair was matted, and I got very little information as to how his week was, and I didn't get the sense that they took great care with my dog. I assume that his hair was matted because he was being socialized and didn't exactly get along with the dogs in his group, but I was never given an explanation. read more

Well this is going to sound redundant because pretty much everything everyone else has posted is absolutely how it is! We dropped our dogs off on Tuesday and picked them up on Friday. We have 4 poochies with 4 different personalities. The staff was very welcoming and we had a great sense of security knowing they would be well taken care of. They totally take the time to get to know each dog that comes in there, not just ours. The love that comes from each staff member is comforting. I love how as soon as we get home, they are all plopping down and crashing out for the night. They run, they play, the get dirty, they are happy happy happy worn out doggies. Happy dogs make us very happy too!! We have friends/coworkers who take their dogs here and they feel exactly the same way. I truly appreciate the overwhelming sense of security and comfort knowing our dogs are safe and secure - we can take a trip knowing they are with people who treat them as their own. Thank you Thank you Thank YOU Carson, Nick, Sabrina and everyone else there. I highly recommend Vineyard Kennels and if you are considering taking your poochies there but just aren't quite sure, take a gander in and look around, talk to the staff and I guarantee you will walk away with the same feeling as the rest of us. read more

So far so good, my dog seems to get plenty of exercise on some days. Rates are decent, the only complaint I would have is that I'd hoped the facility would be more professional & organized looking. Everything seems cluttered & not really cared for, cigarette butts littered outside the office door doesn't help. read more

Like one of the other reviewers said, our dogs are always worn out, dirty and had a great time. You cannot beat the price. The staff is really friendly and takes time to get to know each dog. We use Vineyard Kennel when we travel to the area or south. They always remember our dogs and are able to tell us about their visit each time. Highly recommended! read more

Been using Vineyard for nearly 2 years for my very difficult dog, and am totally pleased with the results. Very caring, friendly, dog-loving staff. read more

We got our first dog and then had to find a kennel to leave her when we traveled. We also wanted to be cost-conscious and not have to spend a fortune. The staff at Vineyard Kennels is caring, enthusiastic and careful. We left our precious, scared rescue with them and worried because of her past. When we returned we found a happy, playful, excited pup. The second time we boarded her she ran into Jason's arms and showed no signs of anxiety, only joy. We recently rescued a second dog and now they both love to go to Vineyard Kennels. For them it is a vacation, a time to run around, tire themselves out and play with a lot of other dogs. They are well supervised, loved and cared for. I am so grateful for this kennel and for Jason, Carson and staff because when we leave our precious babies with them we can relax and enjoy the trips we take. Thank you so much for being a wonderful 2nd home for our dogs Talulah and Truffle. You are a great team. read more

We have been taking our dog here for over four years now and she loves it. I thought I had already written a review for them but apparently I have not. Our dog Penny goes nuts if we mention "Day Care" which is what we mostly use their facility for. We have also boarded her there for over two weeks also. Penny loves other dogs and she always comes home worn out. Jason, one of the staff members has even brought his own dogs in for Penny to play with. I can tell they love our dog and it's not an act. And she loves them. We know when we drop her off she'll be well taken care of and very happy when we pick her up. Sometimes we have her washed at the end of the day and that has worked out well also. This is the place to board your pet on the Central Coast. read more

I've been using Vineyard kennel for years now and couldn't be more happy with their service. Unlike Leslie G, my dog and I couldn't be happier with their facility, but most of all the care they provide for my dog. The staff is a crew of rock stars, a manager who's been with the business 14 years, the local wolf rescues owners daughter, Sabria, and the list goes on truly know and love animals and it shows. 10,000 square feet of room for my dog to play with is just what the vet ordered! Air conditioning, heating and being able to see other other dogs at night helps my fur child know he's got his friends around. Don't let the bad apple review fool you, vineyard kennel is where it's at! read more

I have a year old lab who is alone when I am at work and when I get home he wants hours of play. Doggie Day Care is super for those days when I know I will drag home from work. The first place I tried , east of Paso, he came back cowering. Now he races me to the car and loves to go. Nice employees too as he is not the best mannered dog yet, barking and bouncing. read more

Boarded our dog's there August 8th to the 14th, picked them up two day's later they started coughing. Took them to the Vet diagnosed with Kennel Cough. Owner refused to compensate for the Vet bill which was over $300.00 for two dog's, or refund the kennel cost of $240.00. Will never kennel our dog's there again. read more

Our family and Grandma have been taking our dogs to Vineyard Kennels for several years. They take excellent care of our dogs and are reasonably priced. The kennel is not far off the highway exit, but far enough that the dogs can bark all they like without disturbing anyone. They take care that the dogs can stay cool on especially hot days. Another great thing is that they always have an opening for us. read more

Great place to board your dogs! To be honest, I don't like having to board my fur babies, but the folks at VK are so nice and loving with our dogs, it puts my mind at ease. Nice facility, great staff, and fair prices. We will definitely use them again in the future. read more

I was terrified to leave my dog but my husband and I went away for a night and we couldn't bring our dog this time. The staff was awesome! We will bring Hades back next time! read more
