Khrista took in a couple of hens and a duck in the past whom I had to adopt out. I knew they were going to a good home, but hadn't seen her place until I dropped two of my cats there for boarding. I was in between homes, selling my property and downsizing to purchase another, with my cats needing a place to stay in between. My cats ended up staying at Khrista's for 3 weeks! I didn't know how long it would take initially, it was almost a day by day basis. But Khrista was very accommodating, helpful and flexible with my situation. She was great at communicating when they were running low on food and litter and was happy to pick those items up when needed. I can't express what a relief it was keeping them in her care while I managed 3 dogs in a hotel room for those 3 weeks! She really helped my stress level! Khrista sent photos occasionally of my happy kitties and often sent me updates - how much they were eating, going potty and a report of their overall happiness! All good things! Her place is amazing - very nicely kept with a good feel; I wouldn't hesitate in adopting out another farm animal with her or boarding my cats or dogs. Our dogs Franc and Milo have boarded with Critter Happiness on several occasions for the past year and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Krissy & Eric are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure our dogs felt comfortable and at ease. The facility is spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for the dogs to play and exercise. We are particularly impressed with the large, outdoor play area which is not your typical long, dark, narrow boarding kennel. Our dogs have boarded with those other types of facilities and absolutely abhor them! Krissy provided daily updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing that the dogs were having a great time. It was clear that they genuinely care about the dogs and treat them like family. there are a couple of things that I really appreciate and feel good about at this kennel. first you get to see the whole facility with the dogs as soon as you drive up..your dog isn't taken in the back to who knows where. the cages are really good size and there is a central running/social area. second my dog actually runs to the owners when she sees them, I know then she knows she is staying but I she doesn't act insecure which she does at other kennels. lastly they send me pics daily to let me know she is doing well. the couple that run this kennel are animal people, they even have a pasture where old animals of all kinds can live out their life an "animal sanctuary". only downside .. wish they were a little closer. but it's worth it for me to take my dog there read more

It takes a village to raise a dog. We recently added a 2nd young and energetic dog to our family, so it became too much for my mother-in-law after many years of help. Enter Krissy and Eric, who were recommended by our neighbors in Paso Robles after watching their dogs for years. They took in our 16-year-old (!) stubborn senior rescue mix and our new 2-year-old Catahoula Hound who can jump like a Kangaroo. With kindness and care, they made sure our old man was protected and our new nervous one was supported. We've been back several times and the dogs come back tired but happy. This is ranch living, so expect running in the dirt, barks of fellow lodgers and as many sniffs as far as the nose can go. For our duo, it's the right fit. read more

We just recently found Critter Happiness when a dog behavior reservation couldn't be made for our younger dog; our dogs had a wonderful visit and I remember seeing them watching us leave from the pen area. They did not seem stressed, at all. They were fed and exercised and made to feel a part of the family. Bailey is a great ambassador at Critter Happiness, and really made Loki and Watonga right at home and welcome to the club...They are really flexible with the owner's needs as far as scheduling. We will be taking them back for another short visit in July. Several months down the road we will do some long-term boarding with them. I have had the pleasure of boarding my dog Josey here a handful of times to which she has always come home happy and healthy as can be. I am thrilled to have a place to take my two GSD's while I am away! I had a difficult time finding a facility that could house my working dogs safely. Krissy is very accommodating to the owner's needs and attentive to the needs of each dog. I like that she will either separate your dogs or blend them with others based on your personal preference as opposed to other places where they all must go out together. Each run is nicely sized where they can move, and they are safely secured at night. I can go out of town and leave my dogs knowing they are safe! read more

We have loved having our dogs here. Eric and Krissy are the best and are willing to coordinate pick up and drop off. The dogs look forward to going and get lots of play time during the day when they are there. We have really appreciated having a place for the pups where they get more exercise during the day than your average kennel set up. Krissy and Eric and family have been taking our dog Sadie for a few years now and Sadie is always THRILLED to go. These are true animal lovers and they will care for your pets like they are their own. Sadie is not always dog friendly and we had trouble in the past finding care for her but Critter Happiness solved our problem and Sadie gets lots of love and attention despite her special circumstances. I love taking my pets here for boarding. The set up is great and I completely trust them with my animals. We;ve been going to them for almost 3 years and wont go anywhere else. It is great place to leave your pets when you are out of town. For a small cost, your pet can be picked up and dropped back. There is plenty of area for dogs to run. This place takes care of old animals when the owners cannot or do not want care of them. The profits from the dog care is used to take care of such animals. read more
