    ARC Marble & Tile

Use someone else!!!! Caution! We were directed to Colonial Marble so went to see what they had…read more Rick (who is actually NOT part of the Colonial and is part of ARC tile- found that out later) helped us at first and brought us into meet John who does the stone cutting and installing. John is actually part of Colonial Marble. They both seemed great at the beginning. We needed to install a new marble hearth in our old house to match the other original one. We worked with John and Rick to pick out the piece and he gave us a quote for $1200, including installation. John came out and discovered that they needed to fill the area with a little leveling material and told my husband it would be a little extra cost. John (the installer) is awesome and did a great job. Rick said the total cost was $1800 and I assumed he had cleared the extra charges with my husband since they had been communicating. I paid it, and then found out that never told my husband that it was an extra $500 to prep the spot. Boy was my husband mad! We would have done it ourselves for that ridiculous price! Rick admitted to us that he was not upfront with the costs at all and that was his mistake. I agreed to pay 50% ($250) to make it a fair deal, but he only returned $100 and refused to work it out. I worked on resolving this like adults for WEEKS before ever posting on social media, as that is what people should do out of respect for small businesses. It only got resolved by me posting a review at Colonial Marble, as I didn't know that Rick was not part of this company. It turns out that Rick/arc tile tries to do middleman work and take a cut of colonial Marble's jobs. John at Colonial Marble is awesome and was the only one to actually resolve the issue with proper communication. Lesson? Talk to John only. Us Colonial, avoid ARC like the plague.

I highly disagree with Sara D. been doing business with ARC for 5+ years and the communication…read more(through e-mail) has always been on point, if I thought something was a little to expensive for my taste, Rick, worked with me and my budget over the years, This company has a A+ rating with the BBB for over 18 years with-out a complaint, my entire family has used them in their HIGH END homes (1.8 - 3.2 million) and have never ever had an issue. I highly recommend ARC, some people (if you look at profiles) just don't have a good thing to say about anyone (1star rating, should clue you in) that some people just can not be pleased, , no matter how many hoops you jump through for them. ARC you guys ROCK, keep up the great work, service and communication that you always have. Tile places are a dime a dozen so it says something you all being in business for 18+ years! Again, thanks for the great work on my 3 bathroom renovations.....
