My mother hired Thomas Michaels Design to do a full renovation of her home, both interior and exterior. As a general contractor, who lives full-time in Florida, I was incredibly impressed with the Thomas Michaels Team (Tom, Ryan & Meagan). The pre-construction design work was great, the project finished ahead of schedule, and the quality of work was outstanding. On any construction project, particularly remodels, there will always be obstacles which present themselves during the construction process. The Thomas Michaels Team did a fantastic job of navigating their way through these and delivering a top-notch final product. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to renovate their home. read more

We highly recommend Thomas Michael's Design for any renovation project. We are so happy with the way our kitchen and floors turned out. Not living in the state full time, we needed to fully trust the team for doing what was best for house. They called with questions, the website they used worked great, and the project finished on time!! read more

Run the other way! Unprofessional, incompetent office personnel, wrong orders, wrong dimensions, scheduling was a disaster as was the promised "project manager". If they weren't so expensive, it would be comical. Sub-contractors were clueless when they arrived. They are obviously out to make money and customer satisfaction, quality work and an incredibly stressful remodeling experience be damned. read more

Don't waste your time. After a trip to their showroom we had someone come to our house to take photos, measurements of the old kitchen, and discuss a design. We never heard from them after that. My husband called and left several messages asking when the design would be ready and they just completely blew us off. They do have an impressive showroom, and the people were friendly there, but not enough for me to beg. Also important to note that they are not contractors, which made the whole process a little confusing to me. They said they could recommend people to install the cabinets and plumbers, electricians, etc., but really it just seems like they're the middle man. Or something. read more

Around the beginning of Feb, 2016, on the recommendation of a co-worker, we contacted Thomas Michael Kitchens to set up an appointment for our kitchen remodel. We had stopped in the showroom prior to the appointment just to see what my options were were for cabinets and countertop, styles & color. Michael arrived promptly and was very personable (however, I thought it was odd that he did not have a business card). He told me that that he would have the design in a couple of weeks. Exciting! then I heard nothing. Turns out Michael was on vacation but failed to let me know that. That would have been nice to know. During our initial meeting, he asked my budget, which I shared. The next step was trying to set up an appointment to review the plans. I had asked, several times, if they could at least send me pictures of what he had designed so I could look it over and put together any questions prior to our meeting. That request was ignored. Setting up the appointment was a challenge because apparently according to Kim, Michael would not do a Saturday appointment, which would have been preferable since we have full time jobs. The appointment went well and Michael was accommodating with changes and spent a lot of time making changes during our meeting, which we appreciated. Next step, pricing based on the cabinet style & counter top we chose. The information was promised to me the next day, but did not come. A week later I received the information, after poking. I did learn that there was a death in the family so I understand the delay. I finally received the quote and, to my surprise, it was DOUBLE the budget I had discussed. I was shocked! I know it was based on the choices I made, but maybe some explanation that says, this is based on the cabinet/counter top choices you made, with an offer to discuss more budget friendly options. Nope, just a hear it is! I'm not the cabinet expert so I don't know prices and had just started the "shopping" process. I wrote back and explained my concern and asked if there was anything we could do, maybe look at other options. I immediately got a response back from Michael telling me he would see what options he could come up with and get back to me by the end of the week. That was on 5/2/2016. I have not heard back and I have sent 2 follow up emails (6/13 & 6/21) So the moral of the story? Thomas Michael Kitchens has poor follow up! Business must be so good they don't need mine. I'm happy for them. But here's the kicker, I went to a presentation that was given by one of the cabinet manufacturers they carry. During that evening, Michael talked about how efficient they were and gave the impression of excellent planning and follow up. Interesting, that was not my experience. I have decided to move on! My suggestion is if you are considering Thomas Michael Kitchens, you might want to save yourself the aggravation and just move on. read more

We emailed Thomas Michaels Kitchens off their website on Thursday, inquiring about visiting the showroom that Saturday and whether an appointment was suggested or if we should just stop in. We received no response either way, but in spite of this, still decided to make the drive from Centerville to Wareham, hoping to talk about starting a kitchen remodel. When we arrived at the showroom, we were promptly greeted by no one. As we looked around the showroom, I came across a woman sitting at a desk in the back, almost by accident. A simple 'hi' was all I got before she buried her head behind her laptop again. As we continued our way around the showroom, not once did the woman behind the desk make any attempt to further acknowledge our presence, let alone offer us any assistance or try to engage us in any way. After about fifteen minutes of looking at cabinet displays and brochures we found lying around, we walked out. Much to our disappointment, the trip there and back, as well as the time we spent in the showroom, was utterly wasted. Maybe it was because we walked in an hour before closing. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she just didn't care. Whatever her story was, TMK lost out on a kitchen today. Having received other estimates from other companies, TMK came highly recommended by a few different friends who'd used them. Based on these recommendations, had TMK been in line with the other estimates, we'd have gone with them. I hope for their sake, that our experience was an anomaly. However, if this is how they treat every person that walks through the door, I don't know how they're still in business. It's too bad - we really liked what we saw in the time that we were there. read more

RUN, don't walk AWAY from this place. They are awful: it took 12 weeks to get the cabinets, 2 arrived broken and the large pantry cabinet didn't fit because Mike measured incorrectly. There is no customer service. They never even apologized. I asked for a small cabinet at the end of the island for cookie sheets and cutting boards. Instead, it came with shelves. Once they have your money they DO NOT care about you. I could go on, but I won't bother. read more

I am a general contractor that works with this company all the time. They are excellent across the board. Design, price and installation are important with us and these guys go the extra mile to keep the client happy. I highly recommend Mike and his team. read more

Just super details and an excellent price on the kitchen remodel. All appointments have been kept perfectly, and they have a clear mission to keep the customer happy any way possible. That is good business. read more

If you read my review I never said I went there expecting the price quoted from your add, I never even inquired about that deal because of the layout I wanted, so your response doesn't really apply to my comment AT ALL... What I said was your price was more than double for the same exact layout of Debut brand cabinets as somewhere else and therefore you did not get my business. Bottom line. Your store quoted be $9,000 and I got them for $3,900 elsewhere. Can't claim that you don't charge people for custom prices when it's pretty black and white. People should know to look around. read more

Nothing but great things to say! Mike was extremely helpful (and patient) during the design process. Kim was extremely organized and helpful when planning and coordinating. Last, but certainty not least... Tony did an amazing job with install. I highly recommend for any kitchen remodeling project! read more

My experience was similar to Linda F. from West Yarmouth. At the beginning of March I went to the TM showroom and met Michael, who was very personable and helpful. He even educated me on some things concerning cabinets. At that time we made arrangements for him to come to my house on March 6. I wanted to replace my cabinet fronts and compare that option with the cost of a new kitchen. He sent me home with brochures and some "homework". He arrived as scheduled, explained the many issues with replacing the doors. It was beginning to sound very complicated, but I wanted to know what my options were in order to make an educated decision. He said he would research the door options and get back to me. After 2 weeks I called to see how he was making out and he said he had a problem with his laptop and just got it back. Two or three more weeks went by. I called and a man answered (I thought maybe it was Tom). He said oh yes, and then came back to say he was with a customer and would call me in 15 minutes. Well, he never did. I sent an email asking if he preferred not to do the job and if so, to just let me know so I could move on. No response. I called again last week and left yet another message. It is now May 12 and I still have not heard from anyone. How is it this continues with these consistent complaints? read more
