Short Story: John Fahle at Window Treatments Etc was very responsive to my calls and requests,…read morecame out when he said he would, did the work professionally, and at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. Long Story: I have some Hunter Douglas skylight shades (installed in 2016 by another company no longer in business) and recently one of them stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting I determined that it was the motor. I contacted HD directly to see if I could order a new motor and install it myself but they don't do that. They told me to use their website to find a local HD dealer/installer. I first called the more local company (10 minutes away) and talked to them but they said that they weren't interested in just replacing the motor and were only interested if I wanted to replace all the skylight shades. Yeah, I don't think so! I called Window Treatments Etc next (about 30 minutes away) and talked with John F about the problem. He trusted my troubleshooting process and without any pressure to do more he ordered a new motor and said he'd get back to me when it came in. In a few weeks he called to schedule the install of the new motor. He came out to my house on the scheduled day, confirmed the motor was bad, and replaced it in about 30 minutes. He was a nice guy, very professional, and friendly. I paid a very reasonable cost for the motor and the labor. It seems rare these days to just get someone to come out and do a simple, small job like this without the pressure to do more unnecessary work or paying a ridiculously jacked up price. I am truly impressed that John was not like that at all. If/when the motors in my other HD skylight shades fail I will definitely be calling John F at Window Treatments Etc! Thank you John!
