Preying on people who may not pay attention to the price he charges for gas, $5.99 a gallon! I was tired when I pulled in and started pumping but noticed the price over $14 at about 2 gallons so I stopped and went inside to question the price and the man behind the counter placed the blame on his boss. This guy is s classic scam artist. He should go crawl back into the hole he crawled out of. I would give this place a negative rating if possible. read more

Yesterday I was near E on my way to back to school shop with my kids. I started to fill up, and leaned in to the car to address something with my kids-- when I looked back at the tank I was at $74 for 11 gallons!! Absolutely staggering that a Shell is conducting themselves this way. I filed a consumer complaint with Shell Corporate--http://www.shell.us/about-us/contact-shell/service-station-feedback.html#iframe=L2Zvcm1zL2VuX3VzX3NlcnZpY2Vfc3RhdGlvbl9mZWVkYmFjaw== read more

All I have to say is $6.99 gas!?!? Talk about price gouging! Reported them to the state and I would advise every other person who reads this do the same, this type of nonsense is what ruins us all, blatant disregard for the basics of our economy. Put these idiots out of business. read more

RIPOFF AVOID AT ALL COST! I just got suckered into paying 6.99 a gallon for gas at this place! REALLY. We pulled into this place and didn't notice the price for gas until it was too late. It's been reported so many times and yet nothing is done. Its my last night here and that's how I'm going to remember Orlando, by a $100 charge for 14 gallons of gas. I hope they get closed down. WHAT A RIPOFF read more

Absolutely ridiculous they are able to stay in business and charge this much for gas. The national average as of 10/31/16 was $2.24/gallon and they were charging $5.99!! What in the world?! I thought it was a joke at first. I verified by pumping a gallon and then going inside to ask the manager. He waved me off like he'd heard my complaint a thousand times before and said to contact the franchise on the receipt. Well, I never got a receipt from the pump (and wasn't going to go inside to see him again) and from the looks of receipts posted here, a franchise name and contact isn't listed. I've reported this gas station to the Florida Attorney General's office, as well as directly to Shell themselves, tagged them and CNN on twitter and left negative reviews on google and now Yelp. I encourage everyone else to do the same and bring more attention to this obvious act of fraud! read more

Good afternoon I traveled from Miami to Orlando last week and when I was arriving in the city needed to fuel the car. As always use the Shell stations in Brazil decided to stop. I did not know what were the prices practiced in the United States. Here in Brazil we paid the price per liter and in the USA the price is per gallon. The price charged was $ 5.999 per gallon. I paid a total of $ 80.00. I felt robbed and cheated, because gas stations later were charging about $ 2.00 per gallon. I refueled the car again in another place and spent only $ 25.00 for the same amount of fuel. I never thought in a country like the United States it was possible to have this type of trap to trick tourists into a reputable gas station such as Shell. I feel extorted !!! I wonder if there is any regulatory rather than prices in the United States so that we can report this abuse . Shell station Vineland Road, 8788, Orlando, Florida. read more

Wish I could post 0 stars. This place is a joke and apparently has been price gouging for YEARS if you see the dates on other pictures. 5.99 for regular gas? GTFO! When I went inside to ask if he was serious lol he was so rude and ignored me. What a rip off to take advantage of people because he's in a tourist area. Go somewhere else or if completely out of gas push your car to another station before giving this low life your business! read more

Vineland Shell - Judging by other pictures they've been doing this for years! Rip off - Gas Stations Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Yeah so I hope the management reads this but this location is a total prank on Waze. I was lured here by the "cheapest" gas listing on the Waze app only to find out that this gas costs 3x the national average. Well played, looks like I've been punk'd! read more

This place is a total rip off!!! Sign says $2.77 per gallon for gas. When you swipe your credit card the place changes to $3.79 per gallon. If customers do not pay attention they get ripped off at the pumps. The cashier got RUDE when asked if the pump was correct. With an attitude she quickly let us know that it was $2.77 per gallon for cash orShell credit card ONLY!! DO NOT STOP HERE!!! There is a 7/11 two blocks away which was $2.75 per gallon cash or credit. read more

Stay away from these thieves! We had already pumped our gas before noticing we paid 5.99 for regular. Stupid us for not looking at the tiny sign hidden by the shrubs, and for paying cash and not watching the pump. These people are crooks! read more

This is pure robbery. This place disabled the screen showing the price and I was paying $6.99 a gallon. Thank goodness another customer stopped me and showed me his receipt. Vineland Shell - Outrageous prices! - Gas Stations Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Average gas price $2.45/gallon, and they want $6. I have almost fell victim to their ploy... I guess what this station does is legal, but definitely not ethical. Since no one ever checks reviews before buying gas, I not even see a see a way to warn people of what they do! But it is good to know that there are people like this, so that we can avoid them in the future! read more

This is a price gauging gas station. I paid inside then pumped my forty dollars worth of fuel and when I realized after finishing that it was almost 7 dollars a gallon I almost fell down. The clerks answer was that was the price I should have checked before I paid for it. read more

Gas cost $5.89 for regular here and only $3.23 at a Shell less than a mile away (this was written in November 2011, so has changed -- but the price difference is what is notable). It is right across from the Marriott village, so they probably get lots of vacationers. Go somewhere else! read more

Extremely high price!!! Be careful!! More than double the price!!! So disappointed used Shell because I thought it's reliable!!

Wasted my time with $6 gas. $1.95 at the 7/11 down the street. She'll should be ashamed at what is going on here. Nothing but one star reviews, way to go. read more

This Shell is the closest to the Disney College Program housing complex, and it's the only gas station Disney employees can get discounts at. It is ridiculously over-priced. Who on earth would pay $5.89/gallon when another gas station is charging $3.20 down the street? They are trying to trap tourists and those who are in the college program. It's not even worth using your Disney discount here. read more

Never thought I'd have to review a gas station but...F*ck the owner of this place. This is a person that preys on tourists' ignorance, or hopes that you won't notice they charge more than twice as much as their competitors until you've prepaid for the gas. Beyond dirty. read more

The POS that owns this station should rot in hell. They prey on unsuspecting tourists by charging 3X the normal price of gas! $6.99 a gallon when I went. Almost $80.00 for the tank. I'm surprised no one has gone in and done some damage to this place. Wouldn't surprise me if it happened though. read more

Price gouging, Is this legal????? prices are almost 3 times higher than everywhere else, they should be reported

Do not go to this gas station. I filled up my rental car without looking at the cost of gas as I was running late to catch a flight. When I finished, I was shocked!! $5.99 per gallon. That's insane..... read more

The price of $5.99 is outrageous. When I realized the price while pumping gas I immediately stopped and went to another station. The price per gallon on the Florida Turnpike at Shell stations is $2.15 gallon. When I called the Vineland Shell, I was told the price does not constitute price gouging and that I could have gone to other gas stations. The $5.99/gallon had been charged for many years which is far out of line with other gas stations. AVOID THIS VINELAND SHELL GAS STATION in Orlando. read more

Just looking through the reviews and I can't believe they have been doing this for as long as they have. Charging $6.99 per gallon for regular gas! Absolutely gouging tourists. I pumped 1 gallon because I was just certain it was a mistake. You can go less than a mile to three or four other stations and pay just over two dollars. Absolutely disgusting that they would rip people off this way. I don't think I would ever buy gas from another Shell station for allowing this to happen for so long. read more

What a rip. Gas price for regular is $5.89. Drove in and drove out! Less then a half mile away is a chevron and a 7 11 with normal priced gas. read more

This place is not legit. I was charged $99.99 for half a gas tank, I usually pay $20 for half tank. The gas meter was going unusually fast. This is not right not, Iam reporting the charge. read more

I got screwed at this place! I happen to be driving by in the morning and saw the place was empty and I was like oh great let me fill up while it's early! Swiped my card and it didn't even ask for a pin number or ZIP Code which I thought was weird. .. I proceeded to fill my truck up... as it was filling I kind a looked at the pumps and thought they looked kind of strange like they were missing something . There are places on the pumps that have a black tape of sorts were something used to be. Then within a minute or two the pump stops at $75 and I have 10 gallons of fuel!! Wtf! Then I look around for the price and there's one sign out front at waist level that says $6.99 a gallon! So I go inside and ask the clerk is that the price for gas? And he says yes and I'm like what the hell there's no place in Florida that has gas that high! After I explain to him it's price gouging he says well the sign outside says the price and That I can go on YouTube and see his gas station has been on there and the local news!! So basically this gas station goes by the basic standards where their signs have to be with the minimal advertising required to sell gas. They have strategically made this gas station where where you don't see the price till it's too late! Unfortunately the state of Florida does not protect its consumers from this! And I happen to work for the department of agriculture. Our state does not have price gouging laws unless there is a declared state of emergency. That needs to be changed. Price gouging is price gouging and this is obviously price gouging. I will be contacting the state of Florida attorney and my boss Commissioner Nikki Fried to see what the state is going to do in the future to keep this from happening. I'm sure the state of Florida would have a fit if their employees use their P cards and purchase gas at stations like this!! Oh boy !! read more
