Nah there is something funny going on there. Hardly any customers, high rent payroll. Undercover cars across the street. Clerks are friendly. The source of the money isn't from the gas? They purposely want no customers. HMMM. Their car wash is good. read more

The extreme gas price of $9.89 to $9.99 per gallon in Orlando is located at the 8788 Vineland Ave, Orlando, Florida - Vineland Shell / US Petro station (formerly a Shell, now operating independently as US Petrol). Why Is Gas So Expensive Here? * Intentional High Pricing: The station purposely sets fuel prices between $8.00 and $9.99 per gallon (roughly double or triple the normal area rate of around $4.07-$4.15/gal) to deter drivers from buying gas. * Zoning Loopholes: The owner acquired the property primarily to run the on-site convenience store and restaurant (Mexus Tacos), but local zoning laws require the pumps to remain active to keep the business and permits legally compliant. * Tourist Trap Concerns: Many drivers--especially tourists near the theme park areas--fail to check the digital or overhead board before pumping, resulting in unexpected $100 to $200+ tank charges. Would you like help finding nearby standard gas stations with average local prices in the Orlando area? read more

No one ever checks Yelp for gas stations, but boy do I feel compelled to leave a review for this one. I fell for this scam. They prey on people who don't check or aren't paying attention when pumping gas. $8.99 a gallon of gas is clinically insane. If I could spend all day at this gas station shoo-ing away the unsuspecting tourists and elderly people that fall prey to this joke, I would. The cashier is used to people complaining about the outrageous gas prices after the fact. His response was "I just work here". Yelp should really allow zero stars. read more

Scammers- we were charges 8.939 per gallon of gas! Man did we learn our lesson by not looking.

DO NOT GO HERE. Gas was $7.99/gallon, inflated more than 150%. This is not a mistake, they are scamming people. Find another gas station!!! Thankfully we didn't fill the whole tank, but still, total waste of money! read more

price gouge-avoid at all costs. their price is $6+ more than area. they don't deserve business

I'm sorry but price-gouging tourists is a no-go. $8 a gallon for regular gas and $9 for premium. Was in the area because of the Courtyard/Fairfield Hotel and which was right next door. Came into the lot and saw the sign which was almost hidden behind bush. I think personally couldn't believe it and had to go to the pump to see if they were lying. They weren't, $8 for a gallon of gas. I'd be surprised if no one looked at the sign before paying and actually put gas here. To tourists reading, this isn't normal gas prices, stay far away from it. Head to the Chevron or Wawa (has great food). No idea how this business is still open. read more

Less than one star. This is a scam and should not be allowed. In the financial services world, there has to be clear disclosures considering the least sophisticated consumer. This place takes advantage of the fact that in literally every other situation, gas prices are similar from one station to the next. They target people generally since most people may not look at the signs that are there and are not terribly conspicuous. Also, it takes advantage and discriminates against those with Limited English Proficiency or who live in foreign countries and are not able to easily translate the price. If I lived in FL, I'd put up signs along the road saying "WARNING! TERRIBLE GAS PRICES HERE!" or something similar. read more

My fault for not looking at the gas prices but also unacceptable to be charging what they are.

***BEWARE*** (Shell's Gas station) VINELAND 8788 Vineland RD. Orlando, Florida 32821 Here on vacation and I'm trying to understand how the state of Florida is allowing this Shell Gas Station to pride gouge the public! I asked the clerk, why the prices were $6.99 a gallon. Before I could finish my question he said because it's privately owned. "THATS NOT A ANSWER" so if I privately own a business I can charge people for looking at my building? I'm not sure what the law is in the state of Flordia for this kind of mess but I did call the attorney general and I will be reaching out to other places regarding this price gouging. read more

This station has the same address as US Petrol. If the latter, avoid it. Price of gas was over twice the normal.

I am another sucker by this station. I was charged $7.99 a gallon. This has been going on for 9 years. State of Florida, City of Orlando and Orange county allow this. Should be a class action lawsuit against all 4 to keep allowing this to happen. I did a chargeback, but I did contact the FL AG, FL Standards Bureau, City of Orlando Police, Orange County Sheriff, Orange County Consumer Protection Office (complaint form) and emails to the local TV Stations (WOFL, WESH, and WKMG. I live in Michigan, if i were a local I would be picketing this place. Can tell you this.
