The ratio of sauce, cheese and dough was just right. It wasn't too greasy which was nice and the dough was chewy but had a crispy crust. I went to wash my hands in the bathroom. It could be compared to a gas station bathroom. Old and dilapidated, there was no soap or paper towels. The garbage was overflowing and there was garbage in the toilet. My slice was ready and I sat at a table with a chair that had a huge rip in it. I took a few bites of the slice and threw it out. We stopped in here after a game at kean. It was a hot day but it was even hotter inside the restaurant. Staff was friendly but food was just okay. My grilled chicken in my salad was delicious but there were some wilted pieces of lettuce that tasted bad if I missed them before putting them in my mouth. According to my friend the pizza was okay. He has the buffalo chicken which he enjoyed more than the penne vodka. If it's a hot day definitely plan to carry out so you are not sweating into your food. read more

Ordered a chicken parmigiana sub and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. Chicken parmigiana individually was not that bad but the bread was not fresh and had a stale-ish taste. The salad was the most disappointing, I already had red flags up when they put an over abundance of chicken. The chicken was dryer than the Sahara desert and the caesar sauce had a tarty taste. AMAZING pizzeria. I order takeout from here at least twice a month. The pizza dough is fluffy and airy. The sauce and cheese taste fresh and delicious. They are generous with the amount of cheese and toppings. And they always add a few garlic knots in the pizza box. The cheesesteak sub is also great. The best part of the food was the wings and they weren't even good. The pizza looked like it had been thrown together. It took them over an hour and a half to deliver our food to the Embassy Suites. We should have known it would have been terrible, we had to call a million times so that they would answer the phone . I do not recommend anyone visiting or anyone that lives here that hasn't tried this food to experience this foolery. In addition to this disaster of food, our order was wrong. Highly disappointed. I have ordered from here multiple times and the food is great. This last experience had me question whether I should continue ordering from here. They gave me 2 wonderful looking anti pasta salads that weren't mine and came and picked them up 45 min later after I had them in my possession. Very disappointed by this place. The girl working there claimed the pizza was better than Reggios but I absolutely disagree. When we called the girl who took our order had no idea what a supreme pizza was. Supreme. Deluxe. The works. Everyone calls it something different but somehow she's never heard of it. We tried to explain and she told us she would do it for us. I guess I should've asked but I didn't realize she was charging us $2.25 FOR EACH TOPPING. For the amount of money we paid for the pizza you'd think it would be good. It was horrible. The meatballs we orders were rock hard and burnt. We went back to return them and they told us "oh we were just making a new batch." But they still sold the inedible old meatballs? The eggplant parm sandwich was okay but smaller than we expected. I really wanted this place to be good because I live so close. I got spoiled living in Bayonne with a lot of great pizzerias. There are some pizzeria items you never think could be bad. For me, that item is a calzone. Generally, everywhere I've ever ordered it, a calzone is delicious. However, I believe in an attempt to save time and be efficient they pre-bake the bread for the calzone so they could just cut it and fill it to order with fillings. They did fill it with a lot of cheese, but it didn't make up for the double-baked rock-hard bread. I threw out at least a third of it. If they just cooked it to order with fresh dough, I don't know how you can go wrong. The pizza was ok. I'm willing to give them another shot, but fool me once shame on you.. Fool me twice, shame on me. Note: This was awhile ago too so maybe things changed. We'll see. read more

My daughter ordered food from Vinci's on Magie Avenue in Union, Nj tonight (on the snow storm night). When I went in to pick up the food, the guy said they were busy, but it wasn't. I paid close to 45.00 for everything and it was a waste of money. The pizza was not fresh, the chicken parm looked like it was from last week & didn't taste good and the pasta was pasty. When I got home, my daughter told me the man that answered was kind of rude to her. She said he had an attitude like he didn't want to be there. Initially I got a less than acceptable chicken parm sandwich and left a negative review. I decided give the place another shot because the sausage and pepper rolls were pretty good. When I stopped in to get a couple of rolls I was able to speak with the owner (who was not present when the inadequate sandwich was made).
