Dr. Nunziata is friendly, and has many credentials (ironically this chiropractor was a nurse before and also is a state nutritionist). He does some wonders on your spines, and he seems like he cares about his patients. His consultation is short, and likes to refer you to other services within his office. The reason I am giving him 1 out of 5 stars is because I felt cheated & tricked. I originally selected him because he was near my neighborhood, but later to find out that he makes his patients from bay parkway travel so damn far to his own private office in dyker heights. I mean if you have your own private office in dyker heights, just stay there. Stop telling your bay parkway patients to travel to another place if they selected you because of the convenience! When I went to his office in dyker heights thinking that I was going to see him and his physical therapist, I was wrong!! Out of no where, his secretary tells me "Dr. Nunziata would like you to see the Orthopedic doctor" (which is his partner in the office). I did not want (or had plans) to see this stupid Orthopedic doctor, but was forced into it. Thank god my health insurance is reliable, or else the 5 stupid minutes I spent (unwillingly) with this stupid Orthopedic doctor would had costed me an arm and leg. The Orthopedic doctor made easy money out of me. All he did was ask me 5 questions, and then wrote me a prescription (for one month so that I can come back to him and help him make more money). I thought he was useless, and a waste of my time! I felt like Dr. Nunziata referred me to his dear friend/partner (Orthopedic doctor) for profitting purposes! I felt ripped off and cheated!They basically exemplified how f*ed up the healthcare system is. After that incident, I stopped going to his office. His secretary called me a few weeks ago to ask me if I would like to make an appointment to see him, and I basically said NO! She questioned why I don't want to come anymore, and I told her my thoughts. I have not heard from them again... I don't recommend you go to this guy. There are very few people I would trust with my back. It is extremely sensitive and I am not pain tolerant. Enter Dr. Vinny. He listens and tries so many different types of treatments to help the person. Unlike the 2011 review, he has only the Dyker office and trust me it is so much better than his old Bay Parkway one. Yes I saw the orthopedist but that was my choice to check out my spine. I have known this chiropractor since I was a child and my family went to the 68th st and bay pkwy office on the 2nd floor. In 2006 I was being treated by an MD, Neurologist, Physical Therapist..for a "pinched nerve' over a four month period ,with no relief. Went to see Dr Nunziatta, after two weeks of treatment-again with no results, he suggests-no insists I see a Cardiologist! I was incredulous at first, but went anyway- turns out what I was experiencing was a 100% clogged LAD artery-which had to be cleaned out, or "I'd be dead in 6 months", as per the heart specialist Dr Nunziatta could have made $$$ continuing to treat me, but was MORE concerned with the condition not responding to his treatments! So happy I found a great chiropractor in Brooklyn! Dr. Nunziata is very thorough, and got me back to work quickly. He helped my back pain with a combination of traction using a moveable table, TENS and ice, adjustments (not painful!) and home exercises he demonstrated and for which he gave me a reference paper so I wouldn't forget. That's a good thing for me because I would forget without the paper, or get so confused I'd just give up. The exercises are important to continue the healing at home. My story is a long one however I will try to be brief here. I have had sever headaches for about 40 years. Of course I went to hundreds of doctors seeking a cure and all the tests they gave me could not find anything wrong with me. So thinking that they know it all and if they cant find it I must be hallucinating they offered to send me to psychiatrists. This I knew was not true since I would have the headaches twenty four hours seven days a week. This left me incapacitated since due to my headaches I suffered from sever fatigue. I than went to seek alternative treatments and went to naturopathic doctors. They recommended a diet which alleviated my pain to allow me to barley function. After years of that I went back to regular doctors hoping now they would find something. Visiting a few doctors I finally found one who was able to give me a diagnosis of pinched nerves which was causing my headaches. He tried to treat it with medicine and trigger point injections which only were marginally affective. Since I knew now what I had I turned again to alternative treatment to treat my headaches. Some one told me that chiropractors are successful in treating pinched nerves. So I searched the internet for chiropractors who specialized in pinched nerves. Dr Nunziatas name kept commming up in all the searches, I read all the reviews in the searches and they seemed good so I made an appointment. He recommended that I come twice a week and at first I was skeptical seeing no improvement however after just a couple of month I started feeling improvement and a little while longer I was for the first time not coming home in the evening exhausted and fatigued I felt I was able to join a gym and work out at night. This I was never able to do. Dr. Nunziata was able to make me function almost to normal capacity and my headaches are to a minimal hopefully with more treatments I will be completely free of headaches. For this reason I would very highly recommend Dr. Nunziata for any ailment which can be treated by a chiropractor. P.S Before I knew my diagnosis I went through a variety of treatments which included acupuncture, chiropractic, massage etc. without any results. read more

I have gone to Dr. Nunziata for years on and off whenever I had an issue. I have seen him in his old location in Bay Parkway and at his new location in Dyker Heights. I have always found him to be extremely knowledgeable and talented about my chiropractic issues but because of his broad medical background he gives good advice on other issues I brought up. He also has an "EXCELLENT BED SIDE MANNER", very friendly and sincerely caring. Also I have never seen more than 1 other person in his waiting room. His wait is less then my PT and much less than my dr. or dentist. I have gone to him for muscle stains, lower back pain, neck pain and now a pinched nerve. He has treated each event differently as needed and has never tried to talk me into weekly "maintenance" that is not called for in my situation...like others I have gone too. I frequently pull my Rhomboid Minor and have been treated in the past by Doctors and PT's. The doctor drug-ed me, to the point I couldn't drive or work. I believe my muscle got better because I slept for a week. Whereas the PT just left me in pain too long. Dr. Nuniziata's treatments and stretches he does on me, gave me the quickest and least painful recovery. He the 1st and only person I will go to now for my pulled muscles. The doctor uses his hand plus, has these complex tables that move to assist him in treating me with my lower back problem. He also has other machines like my doctor, ultrasound, and PT, stim. I believe the addition of these machines gave him the tools to help me quicker. Dr. Nuniziata is not afraid of the western medical world like my friend's chiropractor. He mentioned that I might go see the Orthopedic doctor that shares the office space. I declined and that was the last I heard of it. He even had suggested I take anti-inflammatory medication. Something my friend's chiropractor would never do. However, along with the "western" anti-inflammatory he told me to eat a non-inflammatory diet and how to do it. The lack of inflammation spread up my healing process. You would think that is counter initiative since I am decreasing my visits, unlike the dentist who gives the kids lolly-pops when they leave his office. When I went back with my neck issue, I found him to be very careful and suggested I get a MRI. He mentioned the other doctor in his office but stated he wanted to see the results of the MRI 1st. His treatments where cautious until the results came in. When the results did come in he felt there was no need to see anyone else. During these visits I must say it got a little confusing because he was moving offices. He had me going to Bay Parkway the Dyker than Bay parkway. This all settled down after 6 months and I find his new location is so much nicer. Parking is also easier then it was when the office was at Bay Parkway. Know I am back again with a stiff neck which turned into a pinched nerve. I tried stretching for a month which was starting to work - then we got a cold spell. It came back and I couldn't even sleep. The Dr. gave me sleeping pills and Flexeril. After three more day of this I called Dr. Nuniziata, he took me immediately. Within that week I was sleeping thru the night without pain. The pain gets less and less each treatment and he even has a different machine for this issue. He told me if I went to him immediately after I got the stiff neck I would have been out of the office in a week. Now I have to wait for the nerve to heal, which could be another month. Which is on top of the month others couldn't help! What I like most about Dr. Nuniziata's practice is that I come away from it felling better. I don't only mean physically better. I mean, I don't have that bad feeling I had with other chiropractors. The life long patient going back for their adjustment. If that is needed in your case great but if its not great too. I like Dr. Nunziata's personalized treatment plan better! Lastly, I didn't see the snake oil salesman (as I like to call them). When I go to my friend house and I see all these vitamin and supplement bottles and I ask him what they are for he tell me his chiropractor told him to take them. Why not at $30 to $50 a bottle? Although Dr. Nunziata knows a lot about vitamins and supplements he has never tried to push $250 of bottles of stuff on me, like was done to my friend. Worse yet for my friend - he is not covered, for vitamins, by his insurance company. read more

Their primary concern is what's best for me, and they only give me the advice that would benefit me the most. Their office was well organized and clean.
