The staff were really friendly and polite they sound real and enjoyable instead of a mechanical scripted waiter or waitress in other restaurants this really help you relax and relax in the in The Brink and really improves your overall experience. The Food was amazing vaule for money, My friend and I order Afternoon tea and was not disappointed it only cost £12.50 and cane with cocktails and came which fruit bored and dipping chocolate as well as the basic afternoon tea menu. The Brink is a non-alcoholic establishment this does not stop them from delivering fresh and flavoursome cocktails which I must recommend too all who visit. The wide selection of cakes and sandwiches available made is really enjoyable and never done to the pallet the presentation of all the Platters was superb and seem to follow a set theme the overall experience of the afternoon tea was really enjoy your love and great value for money. Crust is a relatively new restaurant in Liverpool, located on Bold Street, it is in the city centre…read moreand very close to Liverpool Central Station. The entrance to Crust is accessed through a large step and they have no ramps, but the staff assisted with my enterance and they seemed really friendly, wanting to get me in. The menu choice in terms of pizzas was a little poor, to have a range of more basic pizzas such as pepperoni or even a garlic pizza bread. The selection of other foods was decent, however labelling the whole menu could have been better for allergies with gluten-free markings rather than just the pizzas. I was impressed with the fact they do fresh flavoured lemonades with different fruit and flavourings, and although the bottom was a little bland, I did enjoy my mango and passionfruit lemonade which was obviously made fresh, with real fruits at £3.50. For my pizza I ordered a Margarita, the staff cut this up for me and the base was good quality, once again fresh and seasoned well. It would have been nice with more toppings, a better range, however. I did struggle to get a staff members attention during the meal, although all staff (including the manager) seemed nice and very friendly, after being given mayo and tomato sachets I just had to use my own, which is one of the reasons I always bring ketchup and mayo when I go out. The chips were a little bland, but the oil at the bottom made them slightly better, they were once again flaws. Crust is a nice restaurant in Liverpool with competitive pricing and a good gluten-free pizza bases, the main issues being getting into the restaurant, the menu and getting a staff member's attention during my meal but due to good quality, freshness of the food and friendly staff, I would feel a four-star rating is appropriate. UPDATE: Due to an awful recent in-store experience in store, where I was given a pizza containing gluten at first, despite requesting a gluten free one, after already a long wait, after I noticed this and alerted my server, my confidence here went downhill and sadly that was shown in the quality of my second pizza, the base was poor and doughy, the ham was chewy and the whole pizza from base to toppings was sadly a poor, awful mess. With a lack of promotions which larger chains has, this just makes this a place with high-end places for abysmal food, sadly warranting a one-star rating as good (yet overpriced) lemonade can't make up for the "speciality" of this place with the pizzas being so bad, even my friend who isn't gluten free was upset with his chicken pizza.

We shared a cup of chips and guac whilst waiting for our dishes. The guac was zesty and there was plenty of it but I would've preferred it to have been chunkier and less mushy. The veggie tamale cake bites with spinach and butternut squash was a nice dish but a little sweet for my taste. I also had the halloumi and pineapple burrito, which I wasn't hugely keen on - again the sweetness put me off. However, I tried some of my friend's sweetcorn fritters with green tomatillo dipping sauce and wow they were delicious so who knows, it's possible that with different choices I might have enjoyed it more!

Dimly lit and a little red (british mexican restaurants appearing slightly like brothels stereotype: check!) Cocktails are great, but unsurprisingly heavy on the crushed ice, but I wasn't drinking post op, and went for some awesome fruit juice, which I won;t lie, was also ice packed too! It's nice to be able to pick and chose small portions to try more. My Gringa quesadilla was great, and so were my prawn tacos (when we'd stopped giggling at it being such an excellent euphemism)

They prefer you make an appointment, mostly so they have a table big enough for all of your goodies (should you choose to have the proper afternoon tea, which includes lots of different items). We arrived on Friday for our reservation at 1 pm and there were two or three other groups there. The place is charming, with that homemade feel. They offer several options for afternoon tea, ranging from about £5 for a cake/scone and tea, to around £15 for the finger foods and lunch options. I opted for the former and had a scone with grapes (they were out of plain scones) and lemon ginger tea. My wife had the same scone with chamomile. We were both very impressed with the quality of the food and the lovely service we were given. They have more than just tea. They make proper cakes and serve breakfast and lunch, as well as offer unique specials. This is place is a must try!
