First off, do not eat the food or go for the breakfast, there are hundreds of wonderful and cheap places to eat in the area and this is definitely not one of them. The rooms are small which is ok, but there are no blackout curtains in the rooms so the lights may keep you up at night. We booked over a month in advance but upon arrival we were given poor lower level street facing rooms (advertised as view rooms), we were told the hotel was full. We saw maybe 2 other small groups in our entire time there, so that was unlikely. The hotel has a bit of a control problem - the volume on the tv was limited by passworded setting to a very low level. The air conditioning is limited by a setting to not go below 18C, though it never reached that anyway. Not sure if this is normal but you must insert your keycard to keep the power on, meaning your AC only runs when you are in the room. The hotel staff has an attitude problem that seems consistent throughout the property. Any small issue they either do not want to help or will flat out refuse. We had an appointment to make and told them the evening before to please have a cab for us the next day at 8:45 AM. They agreed, and the next morning at 9:00 the cab was not there. It felt as if they were just then requesting the cab. Our luggage was delivered to the room, minus two of our bags and plus someone else's, though they quickly sorted that out. All in all it was not a terrible place to stay, but definitely not the five star quality they show on TripAdvisor. read more
