I keep mostly to myself but I do spend the majority of my time here as I work from home I love this community. It is quiet, the management has always been friendly and helpful, the amenities are great, and the people that live here have all been wonderful. I live in a building with longtime residents and feel like we could call on each other for support at any time. Residents take pride in their porch areas, decorate their doors with wreaths and for holidays. The community has multiple social gatherings each year where they host the food etc. Maintenance has always been very responsive although I have had very few issues. This year management contracted a local company to apply exterior insect control. It is amazing. We don't have any mosquitoes and many other insects are absent. It was an awesome decision especially for the pool area. The only thing I think can be improved is the manner in which residents receive packages. Packages from the postal service and Amazon are delivered to a central laundry room. Given that everyone receives so much Amazon it can try your patience at times looking for your packages. I'm very happy at Waterford.

Dogs bark every morning, waking everyone up. This place is overpriced, but appears safe, only because people walk their dogs at night. I feel that there's a lot of young students, not following rules and obnoxious. The painters do a great job at making the building look nice, and the grass is always trimmed. They have washer and dryers on the premises, but very limiting in number. Washers are outdated and dryers can't really dry anything. The pool is always packed with people in the summer and it's only 4 feet deep. The gym only has one functional treadmill (the other one turns off at random times). The landlord told us they would replace our carpet, but for some reason the new carpet looks old and contains lots of hair from previous owner/dog?! Another problem is not getting my mails. Sometimes they leave a slip letting me know, sometimes they drop it in front of my apartment, sometimes it's just not there. The landlords are hard to deal and there's no respect after I moved in. Don't be tricked! I hope to find another apartment in hickory area so I don't have to park far.

While I was waiting for my wife to get out Tisha called me to tell me she found a repair person and they were on their way to our apartment, what a relief! When we got back to the apartment the place cool. Saw a new unit when I looked out back, and a new unit in side and a new unit inside. I thanked Jesus for His kindness toward us, and thanked Him for Tisha's kindness. Lived in apartment most of my like and this was the greatest thing any apt. manager has done for me.

I reported this multiple times to the property manager, expressing serious concern for the safety of my three small children. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing was done to address the issue. After explaining that I could not continue to live in such an unsafe environment, I gave a 30-day notice and had a conversation with the property manager. He gave me the impression that, considering the circumstances, I would not be penalized for breaking the lease early. I trusted that he understood the situation and was being reasonable. To my shock, I recently discovered a charge from this property on my credit report. Not only is this incredibly frustrating, but it also feels deceptive, especially after the property manager's initial response. I would strongly caution anyone--especially families--from moving into this complex. The management does not take tenant safety seriously, and communication is misleading at best. I regret ever signing a lease here.

People have been sleeping in their cars in the parking lot and leave before management shows up. It's just dangerous and not safe for the people that live there.

My criminal charge was dismissed, yet they still carried out an unlawful removal and disposal of all my property. Their actions violated North Carolina's prohibition on self‑help eviction, the requirement for a sheriff‑supervised writ of possession, and the laws protecting tenants' personal property. What they did constitutes conversion, unlawful eviction, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. After being instructed by a superior at the police department to contact them, David -- the same person who pursued the charges with Officer Gross despite knowing I had a legal contract to be there -- now hangs up on me and has blocked me. This behavior shows clear avoidance and refusal to take responsibility for the damage they caused.I am pursuing them in court for full compensation and accountability for the total loss of everything I owned.

They offer nice landscaping, two pools, nicely equipped fitness center, and gas grills for grilling poolside. Although I only had a few minor maintenance requests, the maintenance department was always quick to respond and were very professional. I can't say enough about the office staff. This team is awesome. They are great to work with and always attentive, helping in anyway possible. It was a sad day to leave such a great place to live.
