Kelly Smith was the realtor my wife was working with, and since she was going to be out of town for the holiday, Kent Temple filled in for her. From the first 5 minutes after meeting Kent, you know you are in good hands. Kent makes you feel like you are part of his family, hes honest, willing to help in any way, and will answer any kind of crazy questions you may have...trust me, I ask all kinds of questions. Unfortunately we were not able to find a home when we went looking with Kent, and Kelly was able to pick up where Kent left off. Since we were in a hurry to move, Kelly helped up find a rental while we look for a house to buy. I cant begin to say enough good things about Kelly. She is one of the most organized, helpful, and willing to show as many houses as it takes. Kelly was always available to us and would always promptly respond to email / calls. Kelly over communicates in order to be very clear that she understands what we want and that we understand what she advises. As we were all on pins & needles, we didn't get our answer until after 10AM this morning. My agent called Pamela, text her, and sent her emails, with no replies. To say the least, I didn't get much sleep last night. How inconsiderate of her not to reach out to all the people who made offers on this property/their agents to just let them know there had been a delay. Not a very caring Agent, knowing clients/buyers are waiting. I prefer considerate agents/team members. One who realizes buyers are anxiously waiting to hear if their offer was accepted. There are tons of RE Agents out there, and who want your business, and this isn't a team I would recommend based on the experience I had this past weekend. If you are searching for an agent/team who understands your time, and who is considerate, caring and compassionate......search elsewhere!

She met with us several times, made sure we had great photos, conducted an open house and eventually helped us find a buyer for our home. My expectations were substantially overshot in all that she helped and provided with. Additionally, she helped us search for new homes and land. All we had to do was send a picture or a listing we found somewhere, and she would hunt it down. Eventually we settled on a land acquisition to build our new family home. Maintenance guy is super friendly, sweet and helpful. He is the least appreciated person by the owner of the property. 3. Relatively safe, although I have heard gun shots followed by police cars before. 4. Neighbors keep to themselves. 5. Water cost is included for now. 6. Comes with adorable stray cats, most neighbors feed them, while the landlord expressed hatred toward these defenseless souls. Con: 1. House feels weathered. I had leaky window and faucet when I first moved in. The walls are thin, there is little privacy even though this is a town house. The floor was so dirty that after 6 months of living here and moping the floor everyday, the water still comes out black. The carpet is old with stains everywhere. 2. No pet policy, nothing at all, not even if you want to look after your friend's hamster for a few days. 3. Sketchy neighbors. The place asks everyone to pay $25 for background check, but I doubt they do the checks, because even the rats living in my attic can tell some of them were drug dealers. 4. Condescending owner who is always on the defense when talking to you. She always assumes her tenants are either retarded or taking advantages of her. 5. I kept reporting water leakage in my apartment and the only time she sent someone to fix it was when they realized their water bill was off the roof. Property owner doesn't even bother to hire a professional when the water pipe broke, the poor maintenance guy had to fix it by himself. Or they stopped the water on purpose to keep the water bill down, who knows, the owner is not that trust worthy. 6. No recycle bin, stray cats come feast in the dumpster all the time. Overall: It is decent place for a temporary stay if you want to save money. Semi-family friendly, not pets friendly (not sure if I trust people who cannot love animals), not environmental friendly. You are stuck with rats as pets when you move in and free alarm clocks when neighbors wake up at 4 or 5 AM for work, and you'll never be late for work. It is very hard to find apartment in this area. I suggest you look at Hickory. I have also noticed it is almost impossible to get a good deal on Internet in Lenoir. If you work in Lenoir, the drive from Hickory is still totally worth it.
