I have been a resident of this property for eight years. During that time, I have seen meaningful changes in both management and maintenance. This community once felt like a true luxury property -- it no longer does.
Current management has become largely unapproachable. The leasing office frequently displays a "virtual meeting" sign, and residents are often asked to step outside or relocate to the community clubhouse so management can remain "on camera." During one conversation, management explained that this practice stems from their background, stating they come from three generations of police and therefore prefer to conduct all discussions on camera because they "do not know the people here or what they are capable of." Management also mentioned being used to not being well liked and, unprompted, brought race into the discussion. While it is fair to acknowledge that certain members of society can present risks, such reasoning feels misplaced in a community located in one of the city's most desirable areas, surrounded by affluent neighborhoods. Treating residents with suspicion in first interactions undermines the sense of respect and professionalism expected at a luxury property.
Landscaping throughout the property continues to decline. Weeds grow among living and dead shrubs, and mulch has not been replaced in an extended period. Garbage and litter are also frequently visible around the grounds and walkways, detracting further from the appearance and upkeep of the community.
Pet waste stations are often neglected to the point of overflowing and frequently lack waste bags. At one point, thin office trash liners were substituted for proper pet waste bags.
Multiple residents have shared that management offered to pay a current tenant to empty the pet waste stations because there is no on-site maintenance staff. Considering that rent premiums include the cost of upkeep, this practice is inappropriate and inequitable, offering employment opportunity to one resident rather than addressing the staffing issue properly.
Collectively, these concerns point to a clear decline in maintenance standards, community care, and resident relations -- all inconsistent with the "luxury" experience this property continues to advertise. read more
