Even though it's Stafford Shopping Centre, it's a plaza with a ton of parking. You can simply park and walk to the stores that you want to visit. I like the variety of stores, from Shoppers Drug Mart and Metro, to The Butchery and Vera's Burger. The latter two I have booked for reference to visit. I also learned that this plaza has a Quiznos. I haven't been to a Quiznos in ages. Markham as only one left. It's a cool plaza that I'd like to explore some more when I'm in the area. (292)

I've had to make returns here a few times (sue me - I don't always like trying on clothes in the fluorescent change rooms) and the cashiers don't even blink they're so well trained and helpful. I love their home section here - they have a great baking and cooking selection and lovely pictures that don't fall on my head because they are smartly stacked at waist height (take note other locations!). I always, always find a ton of things I love here, but the prices can still be a little intense. They do sell higher end brands and you'll pay for them, but of course not as much as you'd pay at other stores (i.e. a pair of Coach sandals might run you $80). I love that they have brand here I usually order online, even their hair products like Cake. Winners - I love you. Sometimes, you stress me out, but this location really is the best fo the best.

Dollar stores seem to be a very Canadian concept. They can be great! Awesome for Pinterest…read moreprojects, anything that needs some kind of solution on a small budget, and generally they have SO many items to choose from, it's likely you'll find what you need. I have very mixed feelings about the reality behind these stores though. There is a reason these things are so inexpensive and the smell inside these stores is always the same - plastic. That said, the dollar store is still my go-to shop when planning themed parties, or working on little home projects/getting organized. As much as I would love to always shop local, sometimes the price just can't be beat.

So it's more like a discount store or a bargain store. Nonetheless, they have lots of cool stuff. They have tons of arts and crafts items. If you are a scrapbooker, you will find lots of scrap book materials here! This store has a lot of party accessories (e.g. for bridal showers, baby showers, milestone birthdays, etc.). They also have lots of mylar balloons that you can choose from and they will fill them with helium right there for you. They have the usual dollar store items as well. It's located in the Chapman Mills Marketplace in Barrhaven, so lots of free parking. It's near the Dairy Queen.
