I love their home section here - they have a great baking and cooking selection and lovely pictures that don't fall on my head because they are smartly stacked at waist height (take note other locations!). I always, always find a ton of things I love here, but the prices can still be a little intense. They do sell higher end brands and you'll pay for them, but of course not as much as you'd pay at other stores (i.e. a pair of Coach sandals might run you $80). I love that they have brand here I usually order online, even their hair products like Cake. Winners - I love you. Sometimes, you stress me out, but this location really is the best fo the best.

It is hard not to find anything at HomeSense that is not priced reasonably. Like other reviewers have mentioned, since it is located on Merivale Road, it should be avoided on the weekends. Not only that but avoid this location on Monday's as well, the stock is usually low, and the store is left with all the "left overs" from the weekend, that did not sale. Usually give it a day or two for the staff to load up the shelves with new goodies after their weekend rush. Best time to shop is Tuesday-Friday in the evening or morning. Minus the drive on Merivale the trip to Homesense was pretty good. This Homesense is massive! There are a lot of items at this store and like most Homesense's the stock changes weekly. There were a lot of items for the house, some nice, some awfully hard to look at! The good thing about this Homesense is that there are a lot of items for pretty reasonable prices. I'd recommend going on a weekday as Merivale seemed like a zoo today and I hear it's like that on weekends.

Even though it's Stafford Shopping Centre, it's a plaza with a ton of parking. You can simply park and walk to the stores that you want to visit. I like the variety of stores, from Shoppers Drug Mart and Metro, to The Butchery and Vera's Burger. The latter two I have booked for reference to visit. I also learned that this plaza has a Quiznos. I haven't been to a Quiznos in ages. Markham as only one left. It's a cool plaza that I'd like to explore some more when I'm in the area. (292)

This Giant Tiger is an Express Store, which means it's much smaller than regular Giant Tigers. It feels a bit small and dingy, and is essentially a discount convenience store. The regular Giant Tigers are discount stores, similar to the now defunct Bargain Harold's in Toronto, or Bi-Way (which shut down, but I heard they will re-open a slightly re-branded store on Orfus Rd in Toronto (it will be called "Bi-Way $10 Store")). So the quality of the clothing there is not great, and the toys are usually not brand names, but they have inexpensive grocery items. Giant Tiger is a Canadian company and it originated here in Ottawa (the very first location was in the Byward Market, and it's still there). I've only been in this location a few times. It's not my favourite, but is convenient for the local residents.

It was during the worst time of the Covid-19 pandemic, when many basic kitchen items were hard to find and in short supply. I preferred to buy these products locally rather than ordering them on-line using Amazon. A customer complained to staff that I was taking too long in the aisle, but there were many items to look at and some were out of place and mixed-up with different products. After much searching, I eventually did find a few kitchen items needed by us. At the cash register the cashier was very rude to me about spending too much time shopping. Is there a time limit for shoppers at HomeSense? If so, it should be posted visibly in the store. Given the disrespectful treatment from their saleswoman/cashier, I will never go back to HomeSense. There are many other stores that have better quality kitchenware, where staff don't hassle customers just for looking at the merchandise.

So we were poking about in the Tanger Outlet Mall the other day (it was a beautiful sunny winter day! Needed to be outside taking a walk), and came around the corner to notice how really BIG this Marshall's is, compared to some of the other stores in the mall. There's room for quite a few more stores to open up behind it! So, the experience was good; there was some nice selection. I managed to find a pair of pants for under $25.00. Go me!!! It just occurred to me: the store reminds me of winners in the way that it's set up: rack upon rack of clothing, and you can see over the racks. It's a big store, fairly bright. And I need to keep poking about in here! LOL

I'm a big fan of the "home" section. While I also love the clothes and shoes, I tend to get lost in it all, so I stick to the things that we need for the house (and are more easily justifiable to the hubby if it's an item to improve the home rather than another pari of shoes...). Pro tip - at the end of the isles, there is usually a clearance section that gets cheaper the longer the items remain in the store. It's usually a bit "picked-through" but I ahve found some real gems there!

I don't even know if professional business where is actually a thing but you know clothing for a businessman and businesswoman. They carry their own brand that is name Twik, I really like it. They carry clothing for almost every style. I consider myself to be either very bohemian or very sporty. Two very different style but the offer both of those. Clothing can be pricey but they always have a discount rack in every section.

They sell home decor items (furniture, drapes, lamps, wall-hangings, knick-knacks), bath and body toiletries, fancy baby and pet stuff, cards, gift baskets, etc. And all of it is high-end. No Walmart cast-offs here. It really is the kind of place you would shop for that person who has it all - but, only if you are made of cash. Parking is strictly street, but you can just ask your chauffeur to circle the block!
