I like that in addition to huge items such as 50 pound bags of flour, they have normal sized items too, like 355ml bottles of sauces, and you can buy just 1 bottle, you don't have to buy a case, lol. They had Torani syrups for $8.98 a bottle (and you can buy just one bottle). They had root beer flavour, which I hadn't seen before. They also had Peach, Pineapple and Strawberry Crush, as well as Strawberries and Cream Dr. Pepper and a few other exotic Dr. Peppers too. Those were $11.99-$12.99 for a case of 12 cans (I wanted to buy just a can of each flavour, but they are only sold by the case and I didn't want 12 cans of the same flavour, lol). They had huge woks and pots that you'd definitely need a commercial kitchen to use. They also had takeout containers, bags, gloves, hairnets, etc. Really cool store. Prices are similar to Costco. It looks like a warehouse, so it's not aesthetically pleasing in there, but I didn't expect it to be. The walk-in freezer freaked me out a bit, what if you walked in and someone locked you in there? I've watched too many episodes of CSI, haha. Anyway, if you always wanted to go to Costco but didn't want to pay the membership fees, you can check out Chef's Depot ;) Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

!!!Telling the Truth keep's removing my post so people don't see act a certain way trying to hide…read moreit, just took advantage of everything I did literally. I Set up there Ottawa location for the company Toronto management very Toxic they give opportunity based off Prejudice personal views first not professional, they talk trash about staff/customer base, other religions, staff members wife's cause of their views no basic respect or gratitude for the business they get, zero safety standard banged my foot there saying don't do "incident reports" they operate a lift u need a license for not having one, will belittle you an take advantage of everything you do giving opportunity or training to people based off prejudice views first and they end up leaving the company its unprofessional joke, just taking advantage of the government kick back on wages by hiring certain people and screwing everyone else. Worked at there Ottawa location for 3 years took over there sales floor changed 90% of it setting up there store for the company, covered an fixed everything all pricing/items not in the system, merchandising issues made that store function for the longest time. Was kept on the side the whole time even when they did the initial change of chemicals I was already doing everything at that point an the Toronto management did the walk with the manager and a buddy of the company who was hired for only a few weeks to help them out, I was working that day ended taking over a day later having to call Toronto management cause the manager told me to call them after that I did the rest of the store pretty much doing everything covering the whole floor, a lot of customer service and all the trucks I unloaded Ambient/freezer even transfers or store maintenance you name it I covered and fixed it all. Having to bud in all the time to help them out for the store to function, I had ask for all my raises and promotion they gave me floor supervisor and found out somebody already had it who knew the owner. I worked 2x to 3x harder compared to everyone else to get that position it was fake found out they would make fun of fact he had that position probably me too when they gave it to me. The floor supervisor position got no training or opportunity in the company got to a point where I called Toronto management to see if I had a actually future in the company, was intentionally verbally attacked with the most ignorant distain and disrespect you could imagine, mocking my position bringing up how that staff member already had the position and it meant nothing just trying to trigger me so he could fire me knowing they brought in others and could take advantage of everything I did instead of getting me involved like I earned and having me there a fair amount of time a week 6/7 days so I could do things properly not being on overdrive for them all the time too keep the store going and being takin advantage of. Immediately after that Toronto management put staff in departments to push me out brought in staff from Toronto also, when he brought in the first one they walked in an I was walking out to do something he starred me down with the most pathetic look you could imagine like you're screwed looking at a angle so the new staff couldn't see, even after all that I still finished the rest of the theme/setups I had planned and helped the new Manager fix all the main inventory problems that were in the system he was forced into the situation I don't blame him. Made multiple HR complaints all got ignore they just condone what the management does and protects them, no safety standard either company is very bias there's no earning you way.

Ok, The Wholesale Outlet is a strange little place. It's in what looks like a converted barn (!)…read moreThe parking lot (which it shares with The Apple Saddlery) is unpaved and full of potholes. When you go inside, everything is really messy and it looks like a warehouse. The back of the store is really poorly lit. So you would expect really low prices and great deals, right? Well, every clothing item hovers around the $100 mark. Now they do specialize in clothing from Canadian and European designers, and many of their items are made in Canada or in a European country, so yes, the quality is higher. However, with a name like "The Wholesale Outlet" I really was expecting lower prices. In my opinion, the majority of their items are rather dowdy, unless you are in your 8th decade of life, in which case, you would be considered a fashion plate if you wore these items. HOWEVER, if you have the time and patience to sort through their stuff, you will find some lovely gems. I have only ever purchased skirts here, and only in the clearance section at the back of the store, where everything is 50% off (but poorly lit and items are tightly packed together - my arms often hurt after pulling all the items apart to look at them on the racks). Now to give you an idea of my style, I love asymmetric hem lines, over-sized buttons, and superfluous zippers, so I'm a huge fan of the skirt styles from French, German and Scandinavian designers. The sizing of items here is a little strange. Yes, some are European sizes, but even that I found not to be consistent. I'm pretty much a North American size 2 (sometimes 0), so typically a European 36 or 38 and a UK/Australian 6 or 8. However, here I've tried on a "European 40" and a "Canadian 6" and couldn't zip up either item :P So the take home message is, if you like something, disregard the sizing, just eyeball it and if it looks like it might fit, try it on. If you are under 50 years old, you will likely be the youngest person in the store. The staff here are very nice and friendly. I don't come here often, but I will pop in once in a while to check things out.

Not cheaper than other grocery stores when you buy on sale. Cheaper than regular prices but I never buy regular price. And it takes my husband and I forever to finish their bulk size things. They do have some things that other stores don't have like Kirkland brand. It's always busy and weekends are crazy.

Update: This Costco location is now a Costco Business Centre (well, it's been a Costco Business…read moreCentre since March 2021 but I'm just getting around to updating my review now, lol). So if you see any reviews or pictures in this listing from before March 2021, it was a regular Costco then. Costco Business Centres are more geared towards businesses, so quantities tend to be larger, they sell lots of takeout restaurant packaging, and things like commercial deep fryers. They don't sell some things that regular Costco locations sell like clothes, shoes, books, cakes, and rotisserie chickens. There's also no food court. I don't own a business, but I like going to the Costco Business Centre because it is not as busy as regular Costco locations and I just buy bigger quantities and share with my parents and my brother's family, lol. They do sell some items that regular Costco sells in the same quantities, like granola bars and chips. This location used to a regular Costco, but then it closed down when the new one on Blair Towers opened. Then it reopened as a Costco Business Centre. I've tried to update this listing, but y'all know how listing updates sometimes don't get approved for unknown reasons. (68)
