It's a huge mall with lots of stores, something for everyone. The prices and deals were good . There are cafes / hot and cold drinks /smoothies/pastries. There are banks in the mall too. Also the mega bus has a drop off and pick up from here which is good Fr passengers . Sport chek is the best way out fr passengers taking the mega bus . read more

St Laurent - Entrance photo - Shopping Centers Near Me - Ottawa, Ontario

This is not a bad mall (I give it a 3.5). What I like: The huge Toys R Us on site. They have activities set up for the kids on the weekend which is a bonus. The food court is not bad either. They have quiet a few different options like Burrito Gringo, Taco bell/KFC, Tim Hortons, ect. They also have some food options on the first floor like Kernels, Cinnabon and Purdy's where you can get scoops of ice cream. The light rail also connects to this mall which is nice. What I find this mall lacks: Clothing stores like H&M, and Zara, and a Sephora would be nice. I find they have an outdated selection of stores and I would love to see new ones pop up. Parking is parking, its never fun during busy holiday times, and it can get a bit messy here (nothing compares to parking at Bayshore though, lol). I don't come here to drop a pretty penny, more so just to walk around and hit up some of the food options and Toys R Us when I am trying to kill some time. read more

I love the St-Laurent shopping mall, they have so many different shops to choose from. Are usually go to the same spot for example Dollarama, sport check, shoppers drug Mart, Toys "R" Us... Even have a rainbow movie theater, they offer older movies there but it is very affordable. This location is often very busy, they always have a lot of parking available. I wish they would have a Sephora in that mall. The Rideau mall is not too far but they don't offer parking. I would definitely take the bus or the train to go to that location (rideau) I love that on the second story you have a very big food court that offers a lot of different options. They offer Greek, Mexican, and they have Tim Hortons, subway...believe it or not I already started to do my Christmas shopping. Best time while its not too busy. read more

An Optician by the name of Umaa Nirmalan went beyond expectations when she helped me with my purchase at Newlook. She finalized my selection of new glasses and solved a problem I had with the prescription. I thank her sincerely for her excellent service and wish to highlight her devotion in ensuring that my purchase was successful. Thank you Umaa. This is my favourite mall in all of Ottawa, based on its size and variety of vendors (not to mention that I live unfortunately closer to Bayshore mall; boo!) I always get lost in the St Laurent mall - it's HUGE! We usually go here during the holiday rush in December to spend one good day of shopping to get the list down, but while shopping here this summer, the mall seemed so much larger and roomier, more spacious than I remembered it... This is because there's no Santa Claus in August, not so many gift shopping booths down the centre isles either, and as a result it was so much less packed. The added bonus was that the walkways seemed broader. I really like the little rest areas with the carpets and comfy couches. There are so many cellphone shops here now! The nature of shopping malls has changed. This gave us the chance to check things out to try to get a comparison (good luck!! No such thing as comparing apples to apples when it comes to cell phone companies' packages!). The food court here I would say is average; when we go that far into the east end of Ottawa, there are other really good restaurants that I would prefer to eat at, all of them outside this mall. Although there is still a good East Side Mario's in here. The mall is clean and large. My one regret is that it's so far from home for us, that we don't shop there often enough. Do you know what I miss? I miss the competition between truly Canadian chains such as Eatons and Simpsons... heck, even the Bay is now owned by the Americans! I miss the Canadian perspective and style in the large chains, and I'm grateful for even the small home town styles offered in the stores today. What's not here any more: I think there used to be a Koyman's Galleries in here; they're pulling out of the mall boutique shops, and they've opened a larger warehouse-sized store down the street from the mall, between Innes and Lancaster on the east side. read more

I would consider St. Laurent to be an average mall, but here in Ottawa, I would say that it's one of the better malls. I used to feel that it was on par with Bayshore Shopping Centre but ever since Bayshore renovated their parking lot I rarely go to Bayshore anymore and it has dropped to the bottom of my list for malls to go to. The parking lot at St. Laurent is still good. The parking spaces are big, and it's easy to navigate (unlike the tiny narrow spots at Bayshore where it's like a maze with one way lanes everywhere that people ignore so you often find yourself facing on-coming traffic, but I digress...) St. Laurent Mall has a good selection of stores. It has everything: women's apparel, men's apparel, kids' apparel, footwear, hair salon and barber, nail salon, bank, drugstore, sports store, tailor, dry cleaner, shoe repair, jewelers, dollar store, art supplies, cell phone providers, gym, optical, electronics, toy store, card shop, photo studio, liquor store, food court and a sit-down restaurant. There's even a movie theatre. There's nothing super high-end, but it has all the usual suspects that you would expect in a mall. The anchor stores are The Bay and Sears. The food court is quite large and has a good selection. I think everyone would be able to find something to eat at the food court. It's easily accessible by public transit. read more

First of all AMAZING mall second of all while I was at a&w in this mall I was trying to pay for my soda by using coins and the lady was so nice she paid for me and that's the reason why if you got mostly coins like me you should visit this place because there's very nice people thank you read more

Back in November 2015, I did a road trip to Ottawa and spent just over a week there. The zipper on my blue puffy coat (it's not down-filled, so it's mildly puffy) broke. Now what? I looked up Stitch It and found that it was in St. Laurent Centre. I wrote a review on Stitch It, but never reviewed the mall. I was advised that the fix would take a bit of time. So, I ended up browsing. I'm glad that I did. This mall screams my name. It has comfy purple seats. Naturally, I needed to take a photo. They would look great in my home, but I would be stealing if I had hauled them outside. I visited Starbucks to get my fix. I had my first snowman sugar cookie that I love so much and a drink to wash it down. Perfect! I then had a great conversation with someone at David's Tea. She was handing out samples and I loved Santa's secret tea blend so much that she gave me a leaflet and marked the name of what I was drinking for me. I still have it to this day, as I love tea. After all that browsing and chatting, I headed back to Stitch It. My zipper was fixed. The colour matched my coat nicely. I then continued being a tourist with my coat nicely zipped up on me. If I have to go into a mall, this is the most likely one I will head to. It's close and it's functional. They have the basic stores one needs. You can buy birthday cards, get your hair done, buy makeup, pickup a gift or a bottle of wine, get an evening dress or work clothes and then pick up some art supplies. The only gap (and it's not a huge one) is that there is no hardware type of store - so it falls just short of being a one-stop errand busting mall. From an access point of view, many buses stop there on the way out to Orleans and Elmvale or on the reverse trip downtown, so it's fairly accessible. With lots of overflow parking, you can always find a spot. (Pro tip: Avoid the north side of the mall by Starbucks. Crazy busy. Head over to Sears either on the north or west side.) One thing I'd love to see improved here is the food court. There are not a lot of great food choices IMHO. We avoid this food court. The Hudson Bay Co. store in this mall is not as well stocked as the one at Rideau Centre, but you can still catch a good sale here if you are paying attention. The LCBO has a limited selection, but has all the basics. Would I recommend: It's a solid all purpose mall. You can get a lot of things checked off the errand list here. Would I return: Yes. We go here mostly for: Pandora, HBC, Art Supplies, gift shopping, Starbucks, a few key clothing stores that I love to shop in for me and my daughter. My husband tends to gravitate to the upper floor of HBC for men's clothing sales. read more

One of my favourite places to shop. They have a good variety of stores, and the security is very polite.

Second from the Rideau Centre located downtown, this has to be the second busiest mall in the Ottawa area. The mall's close proximity and ease of access to and from the mall makes this an easy mall to find and locate. A large transit hub allows those who use public transit in getting to the mall. The mall is anchored by several large stores which include Sears, Sports Chek, The Bay, and Toys R Us. You'll find a variety of stores which include home fashion, cell phone providers, a florist, and other mini kiosks which offer many different items for sale. Downstairs is a small theatre which offers bargained priced movies. There is currently a Florida Fitness for the health nuts but in time, my hunch is that a Good Life fitness will replace it. Parking is plentiful with 2 separate parking garages. I find the layout of the parking lot and garages makes maneuvering around difficult. Your best bet during week days is to park on the second level parking which is covered and never busy. The ramp is located on the south east side closest to The Bay's exterior entrance. For a detailed listing of stores, refer to the mall's website. www.stlaurent-centre.com Food court selection is great as well. read more

I used to live near the St Laurent Mall, so I walked through on a daily basis to catch the bus. The best thing happening there right now is that they are just finishing off the GoodLife fitness centre. This GoodLife will even have a salt water pool! Because it is new they are offering some really good deals. The East Side Marios at this mall is also really good. The St Laurent has a pet store and a Toys R Us, which are unusual in a mall. The Sports Check here is huge. There is lots of parking here, so it is nice to come away from the Rideau Centre and have a more relaxed experience. read more

I remember thinking that the St. Laurent Mall was just terrible, but after visiting it a couple times recently, it's improved quite a bit. It's seems to be much more fashionable, with many more known retailers. It now has Crabtree & Evelyn, Guess, La Senza, Mexx, Lush, Teopia, and the Gap. You can also find Everest College and an LCBO here. The mall is generally much more packed now than it has been in past years, so it's obviously gained a lot more popularity. There were tons of people when I visited a few weeks ago, though it was during the Christmas rush, so that may have also been a factor. read more

I was actually quite surprised when Noah K and I came here awhile ago. The mall is undergoing renovations (like EVERY other mall in this city - sheesh!), and is already much better than I remember. Although it's still a busy place, it doesn't feel as hectic as I remember. There is a really wonderful selection of stores and services here, and I particularly love the big Toys R Us here. They have a lot of signage around the rennovations which are quite cheeky and fun. They're doing a good job of keeping the place tidy as well. I'll be sure to update once I visit post-rennovations - I think it's going to be an awesome change! read more

My favourite shopping mall to go to! It simply has pretty much everything! What would make it a 5/5 for me is proximity to my dwelling in relation to the location ( but I mean I live with my parents so not up to me) but also if there was an Apple Store! Going to Rideau is a hassle especially paying for parking boo! Bayshore is the other option but man that's on the other side of town across the river from me ! This mall has everything from babies-hair-cellphone/technology-tea-food-clothing chains ! I love how there is variety, a little bit of everything! I have to say the mall is very clean considering how busy so koodos to the cleaning staff you are doing great! Also the new renovations are lovely, I absolutely love the modernness of the mall! This is the all time best mall in my opinion ! Free Parking yay! Great selection yay! Distance away nay ! No Apple nay! Love this place ! :) read more

This is my favourite shopping mall here. It's has a food court with great staff that will help. There is supervisors and advertisers wondering around which is great customer interaction to me and I think people would agree. The stores is so good and they keep adding brands that are bigger and better every year. This IS an average shopping mall, but I think it has one speciality and that specialty is just everything! If you come here for a trip, I recommend to visit this mall ASAP! I hope you would fall in love with this mall like I did! Also I forgot to add, washrooms and stores are really really clean and sanitary, and even if a place is crowded everywhere here has fast service, literally they ring us up in an instant. Staff is really friendly because they always ask if you need anything, so you don't really need to ask. read more

St. Laurent is where I go if I can't find what I'm looking for at Rideau. Their food court is A LOT better than Rideau Centre's, which I feel I had to bring up first since you know, we are all foodies here. Their food court includes a Taco Bell (yes!), this really tasty place that sells Bourbon Chicken, a half decent Italian place, and there is a new crepe/gelato spot! It also includes an East Side Mario's, if you're in the mood to eat silly amounts of bread sticks and salad. St. Laurent doesn't really have many clothing stores that I would shop at personally, it has a Gap but that's really it. But it does have a Joshua Perets, Guess, Mexx, Suzy Shier, a really big Ardenes, and a West 49. If you have a teenage daughter I'd say this mall has an edge over Rideau for teen clothing choices. It also has a Bath and Body Works, which is one of my favorite stores ever, and a HUGE Toys R Us/Babies R Us. Here are the down sides of St. Laurent: No Starbucks, but I guess that wouldn't be an issue for people who are NOT addicted to Starbucks, unlike myself. St. Laurent Mall is also extremely confusing and easy to get lost in, I used to work at the Toys R Us and I would always be late coming back from my break because I had no idea where I was going. But the biggest downside for me is the ridiculous amount of pushy vendors they have in the middle of the mall, I seriously feel like I am being harassed as I walk through it. Today I went down a single lane in the mall and was approached FIVE times by people trying to sell me their products. Hair straighteners, hand cream, nail files, little hot packs, more hand cream, etc. One even went as far as jumping in front of me and yelling "HELLO", which scared the crap out of me. I caution everyone heading here that unless you are looking for the specific product the person is trying to give you a sample of, to not accept it because they will DESPERATELY try to sell you their product and you'll feel awful saying no to them. read more

My favourite place to go. Of all the malls in ottawa i always come back here. Right now theyre doing lots of renovations so parking is a bit of a pain but other than that its great. read more

Likely one of the biggest malls in Ottawa, I would say it's both a great and not so great place to shop depending on the store you're going to and the items you are looking for. As some times I notice the same commercial store sells better products at other locations as well as some commercial stores sell things that I've only found at this mall (vice versa) It's a fairly large place to walk around if you're someone who likes to get a coffee or tea and browse repeatedly from store to store, there are always deals to be found especially if you visit 3 or more stores in one visit. I've found there to be both casual stores, and as well as high end stores, and then those stores that sell "fancy looking" things for fairly cheap whether it be clothing, utilities, food, or anything else. From a birds eye view just remember the mall is shaped as a triangle with shorter hallways that extend off of it so it's pretty easy to remember your way around. Worst case you'll only find yourself at the same door you entered through if walking aimlessly. read more

Much better than the one in Rideau Center. It is spacious, bright and it's equipped with some decent machines. The air-quality however is not good. read more

We really like this mall when we visit Ottawa. Plenty of parking. Has s great variety of shops and even a small but well stocked LCBO. The mall itself is very well maintained and very clean. Solid food court with a lot of variety. They're renovating again but it doesn't affect the shopping experience. Now get an Apple Store and I give it 5 stars lol. read more

The best shopping centre in Ottawa. St. Laurent gets a lot of flak for not having big name stores which isn't even true anymore; there's no H&M or Forever 21 but there's tons of great store with really nice stuff. They've got Garage, Smart Set, Joe Fresh, Dynamite, Stitches, Ardene, Vero Moda, Sirens, Warrens etc. (you know, if you're looking for women's clothing :P) Compared to the two other large malls in Ottawa, St. Laurent has the best location. Bayshore's way out of the way unless you live in Kanata and hard to access off the Queen's way. Rideau's right down town by the Byword market which is nice but it'll take you half an hour to park somewhere that's free and semi close. St. Laurent has free parking and plenty of it, and it's in a pretty central location so it shouldn't be too far from you no matter where you live. The only negative of the mall is the food court. The shops aren't great and it's a miracle if you can find a place to sit. read more

St Laurent Centre has been undergoing a lot of renovations recently, so I'd probably give it a better rating if I didn't have to watch my footing so much as I walk through the mall. I find the layout of the place to be a bit confusing at time and would like to see more map kiosks available for navigation. There are a good variety of shopping experiences and the food court is good if you need variety when looking for a quick bite to eat. I'd like to see something in the food court more fresh or vegetable-based, though, as they do in the Rideau Centre. read more

Overall a good mall. The proximity to the bus station may account for the questionable characters around the mall. But the mall and stores are good. Hopefully they will finish the construction soon! read more

Dont shop at 151 space. Their clothes are the worst quality and will fall apart before you even wear them. The lady won't allow returns and will yell and curse at you if you try. The clothes are literally the cheapest poorest quality and the lady has horrible customer service. Please do yourself a favor and never buy anything from here. It is expensive and you will be massively ripped off. read more

The food here was truly awful. I work across the street so I have been there a couple of times and it is always brutal. I think you could find microwave dinners that taste better. This pretty much goes for the entire East Side's franchise. I went to one in Vancouver (which has since closed) and the food was equally inedible. read more

It has the basic stores...nothing high end. It seems like a really old mall but has lots of parking.

I used to trek to this mall all the time before. I had a problem with the Micabella Kiosk before and their girls who pull shoppers away. I wasn't there to see one of them get beaten up by a jealous girlfriend, but a video gone viral would have been epic. Ottawa Sports Gallery was a small rinky dink sports store which was the size of a gas bar. Jerseys were hung from the ceiling, and people crammed into the place. It was closed during business hours one day and wondered what their excuse was....the food court is always over-crowded from open till close. It's a nightmare during Christmas season and makes me want to do my shopping way in advance. Mall cops are alert, but sometimes aggressive. They do come off as the real cops sometimes. Took a photo of a pair of boots in a display for a friend, and hear a deep voice saying "Hey, you can't take pictures". I look over, and this mall cop (about 6 feet tall) is reaching to grab my phone and told him I would delete it. I was pretty shaken up, but luckily wasn't man-handled. It would have been a great lawsuit though.... read more
