It's a cute little mall that I used to frequent as a child. I did bring my children here to show them around and they thought it was such a fun mall to walk around in. It's like one long tunnel surrounding by shops with a connection to a bus terminal. It's a great mall for the neighborhood hosting a some larger stores like Walmart, Independent Grocer, Dollarama, and Natural Food Pantry. I did take a stroll to the second floor where the food court was. It did not look very appealing so we left and didn't check out the restaurants. We ended our stroll through the mall with an ice cream at Laura Secord, which was great and headed home. Overall, its an A-OK mall for the neighborhood but nothing outstanding where I would go out of my way and go back to. read more

Dreary mall that continues to decline, empty store fronts LCBO - where the staff are too lazy to do their jobs, Handa Travel is awful, I used to use them for everything until they insulted me when I asked to book airfare to the Caucasus, bitchy staff at Booster Juice and Dollarama, There is supposed to be a Canada Post here, but there isn't. Thats not the malls fault I thought there was one, thats googles fault. It is the malls fault I had to wall the whole length of the mall to find that out, because the only map I could find is up in the food court. The last three times I was here, it was a disappointing waste of time so we would be better off if this mall just closed. Its going to happen eventually. read more

Mall is decent size with ample parking both at the front and rear of the building. Some notable stores include, Walmart, independent, multiple mobile carriers. There are two banks on site. The food court is located on the second floor (McDonald's, Tim Hortons subway, shawarma etc). The bathrooms are well used but were clean. read more

When I drove to Ottawa for a visit, this was my first destination. This mall makes me feel nostalgic because when I was little, I would come here almost every weekend with my parents. The mall looked completely different now versus back then. Anyways, back to my review. The mall is practical because it has everything you really need including grocery store, dollar store, bank, food court and Walmart. Parking: large parking lot with lots of space so finding parking is not an issue. Location: the mall is located south Ottawa so if you live in the area, it makes sense to come here to buy things. Also, the mall is connected to public transit. They even built a mini bridge connecting Billing Bridge Mall to the bus terminal. Shopping experience: it's not the type of mall you would spend hours at. You would come here to buy your things and go. My rating: I gave the mall 4/5 because I'm biased. Also, this mall does have Walmart and Bulk Barn so it's good for grocery shopping. Recommend? If it's convenient for you, then yes. If you're looking to shop and buy high end things, go to CF Rideau instead. It depends on what you want! What stores are available? This "shopping centre" is kind of on the dinky side, but it's the first "mall" I ever shopped at when I first moved to Ottawa, so it has a special place in my heart. The layout of the mall is a big "T" with the anchor store, Zellers being at the intersection (on a side note, since Zellers is closing, I have no idea that their new anchor store will be, a Target perhaps?). The mall has a good variety of stores: it has several banks, a grocery store (Independent Grocer), a drugstore (Rexall Pharma Plus), clothing stores, shoe stores, a dollar store, a luggage store, a bookstore and a post office, so you can get your needs met. It's just not a spectacular shopping experience. The food court is on the second level and the selection is decent (Thai, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Shawarma, Subway, McDonalds, NY Fries and Tim Hortons). There's also a Booster Juice near the main entrance and a deli (Ladles) at one of the far ends of the short arm of the "T" on the main level. There is always lots of seating at the food court, so you won't see people fighting over food court seats here. There's also lots of parking, so you won't see people fighting over parking sports either. Also, there's a Bulk Barn that you can only access from outside (not through the mall), which I find weird, but whatever. There is nothing really cool or unique about this mall, but it's convenient (a stop on the Transitway) and has all the basics. read more

Billings bridge a small mall but over the years lot of changes. Great to run in and get what you want.

I was going between 3-4 stars for this one. 4, because it ultimately has come a long way in the last few years, but I landed on 3 because in the end there still seems to be a fair bit lacking. Billings is a fairly small mall, comparable to what the old Heron Gate mall used to be like before it became a strip mall. It's convenient in that they have a couple different bank options, mobile phone provider options, a grocery store, and a Walmart al under one roof. As an avid shopper, I really enjoy places with a bit more variety. While Billings has, in the last few years, acquired some stores which are among my faves- they've also dropped a couple I really liked as well, so, a bit of a trade off there. Big perk I would say is their decision to put in a great brunch spot- Allo Mon CoCo. It does seem as though this is a mall that's perhaps geared to a much older demographic, and so it wouldn't really be my mall of choice for a big shopping spree, but I will say that it's clean and bright and they have been expanding their food options. My dad works in a building attached the mall so, I'll definitely back- even if it's more for groceries or window shopping while I wait. I would recommend it if you're not looking for anything too specific and it's an easy stop-in on your way. read more

I've been here many times, usually in the food court lol but explored most of the stores in this mall. Yes, it's small and it wouldn't be my first choice for Christmas shopping but if you live around or work around here then it's not that bad of a place. I posted a picture of all the stores in this mall. Some of them are Target, Footlocker, Rogers, Pet store, food court (NY fries, McDonalds, etc), health food store, clothing stores for women, etc. The mall is connect to an OC bus terminal, which makes it much for accessible for those that don't drive. It has a massive parking lot (outdoors) as well. So, why 3 stars instead of 4 stars. Well mainly because the amount of stores there is and the size of the mall. But let me say this. If I had a choice to receive a $1000 gift card for this mall or $600 gift card to any other mall in Ottawa, I would choose the $1000 gift card to this mall instead. The reason being is that I could happily spend the $1000 and be more than satisfied with my purchases. But if the difference was smaller, for example, $1000 gift card at billing bridge mall vs $900 at any other mall in ottawa, I would probably choose the $900 and spend it at the St. Laurent Mall or Rideau Centre. This place gets a big thumbs up for being a kid-friendly mall! I brought a one year old and a four year old here yesterday during the massive heat wave, unable to function in a non-air conditioned home. Billings did not disappoint! This is of course, a smaller community mall as opposed to the big players in town like St. Laurent, Rideau and Bayshore, but I kind of like it. There's less people and some actual locally-owned businesses which I like. As mentioned, air conditioning was key. I stopped on the second store at guest services to pick up a stroller and the staff I dealt with were awesome. They offered me a double stoller when they saw I had a 3 year old with me as well which ended up being really helpful. They even wiped it down and made sure it was clean for me :) All you have t do is leave a piece of ID with them to pick up later. We had a bite to eat in the food court (it's not a bad one, but not huge ) and took a trip to the pet store to see the animals, which the kids loved. This isn't a place I ever would have considered shopping before, but I actually think I might head back once all the Target construction is done. There seemed to be a fairly decent selection of stores! Overall, not a bad place to shop if you're in the neigbourhood. I think Target will be a great boost to this place! read more

Probably one of the worst covered Malls in Ottawa, if not Ontario. Hmm where to start. The Mall is dirty and run down even with reno's. Thinking outside the box is not their strong suit as most of the stores cater to women's clothing or cell phones. It is a busy mall but if you look at the customer base, they are usually a bit on the rough side; but they do cater well to the elderly crowd. It is close to a lot of the Homes and Residences in the area and busloads come in everyday to shop. Thats not a bad thing, it's just a thing. Then the mall fills up with teenagers that loiter and hang around for no apparent reason. Loitering seems to be an acceptable activity at this mall; I guess because as it is a community based one. You will see young and old alike just wasting time there or having a snooze, or even trying to mug people. Security is not evident very often and there are certain doors you don't go to to have a cigarette as you will either be harassed by many moochers or even threatened. (Yes this has happened to me and also a friend) If they gave awards for food courts, this one would surely win The Worst Food Court in Ottawa trophy. Not only do they have few choices (4 different Asian choices in a row plus a few other food companies), the seating is ridiculous. Very hard to find a place to sit due to people either just sitting and doing nothing, or playing cards or backgammon!! The only washroom in the mall is on this floor as is the one secret handicap one. Which is locked! You have to find someone who is working the food court to get the key! Then there's the whole handicap issue. Access doors that rarely work (not all entrances to the mall even have access), and one scary ancient elevator that holds maybe a wheelchair and a person. It also frequently breaks down. As do the escalators. Again if there was an award for Maintenance, they would surely win The Worst Maintained Mall in Ottawa award. On to their wi-fi, the gift that sporadically gives. Signing into their "free wi-fi" is an endeavour in futility most of the time. Frustrating to say the least. The Independant grocery store has better wi-fi and you can sit at Timothy's and have a coffee if you need to use the internet. And yes if there was an award for wi-fi, Billings Bridge Mall would certainly win The Worst Wi-Fi in Ottawa trophy! With Target getting out at lightning speed, it will be interesting to see who replaces the space. I think it was the dumbest idea to close Zellers and replace it with this useless store anyway. But then again hindsight is 20/20. Hopefully a Canadian company (ie Giant Tiger) will take some of the space. I don't hold much hope for that as the administrators of this Mall are usually insolent and obviously not the best decision makers around as is evident over the decades. The grocery store is not bad for staples. It caters mostly to the low income and elderly crowd so don't expect a grocer that carries much more than regular items. Since they have a somewhat captured market their prices are not necessarily competitive, but you can find some sales. All in all, this is a Mall that you go to when you know exactly what you want. Browsing is only good for womens clothes, cell phones, liquor, and a post office. This Mall would unquestionably win The Worst Mall in Ottawa trophy! I'm not sure Billings Bridge should count as a mall at all... definitely not a "Shopping Centre" as it's category suggests, more of a... building that happens to have a few shops. Billings Bridge has the few standards a small mall should have - a Coles, Le Chateau, Smart Set, a Zellers, and the generic nail place, dentist, and pet shop. They also have seasonal booths, kind of flea market style, where local people come and sell their wares - stuff like jewelery, art, etc. The mall is really nothing special, but if you're desperate you can get what you need here. read more

Yes it is a small mall but it may be just the size needed. There is a Walmart and Your Independent Grocer (YIG) in the mall. I am happy with YIG over Loblaws because I do not need a liquor section nor their Joe Fresh merchandise. There is a small LCBO. My dentist and optician stores are there. My barber is hidden away near the entrance. The book store is too small for my liking and wish they expand it to a full Chapters. Farm Boy needs to move from their crappy location at Blue Heron Mall to Billings Bridge even as a standalone structure near the government tower which should be torn down, IMHO. The food court is decent but could use a few more bigger named stores. There is breakfast and lunch restaurant. Could use another restaurant like East Side Mario's in the mall. I wish my masseuse, Align Massage, would move to the mall along with a physiotherapist and chiropractor. Everything in one location would be great which was the original motto of the mall. read more

This mall has everything you need. A food court and 2 groceries stores (Independent & Walmart). Although, it closes at 18:00 on Saturday and 17:00 on Sunday. It's attached to the bus services, - OC Transpo - so it should be open until 21:00 everyday as it is an important station. Walmart is open until 23:00. Ce centre commercial a tout le nécessaire, incluant une foire alimentaire ainsi que deux épiceries (Independent & Walmart). La seule critique serait les heures d'ouvertures durant les fins de semaine, puisqu'il est rattaché au service d'autobus, il devrait être ouvert jusqu'à 21:00 tous les jours, puisque l'arrêt est important. 18:00 le samedi et 17:00 le dimanche. Found myself having an hour or so to kill while my boyfriend played hockey at the RA across the street and I'd already wandered round Target seeing tons of stuff I wanted but my budget of zero dollar wouldn't allow! So I took a walk through the mall going in through Target. While this mall doesn't have a great selection of stores its not awful. If you know you want something in particular from Smart Set, La Senza etc its a good option rather that the hassle of Rideau or St Laurent. Went up to food court to use the washroom and its actually pretty nice. Nicely lit and it seemed relaxed (it was 8pm on a Thursday though) Didnt have food but something sure smelt amazing! I had to remind myself id just had dinner. For it being a below average mall they sure do have fancy digital screens telling you when the washrooms were last inspected! Not somewhere I'd plan a trip to and certainly not a shopping destination for me but it passed the time in a not too shabby way! read more

On one hand, this mall is trying to bring in new stores and kiosks. On the other hand, I dont think the foot traffic is enough to sustain the businesses that do come here unless their main business comes from the people in the office building also in the mall (office clothes, etc). I like this mall because it has a bit of everything. It's also rarely busy, so if you want individual service from a retailer this is a good choice. read more

This plaza has seen a lot of renovations in the last 10 years or so. It used to be a bit of a dump with the building and its stores being so old that no one was particularly interested in shopping there. Now, every time I visit, it's actually quite busy. The Billings Bridge bus station is on the Transitway, so it's a really popular stop to catch the bus. There aren't too many stores here compared to malls like Rideau and St. Laurent, but there are enough to get your basic shopping needs and errands done. I find that a lot of people that come here are either just passing by or just need to pick something up before heading somewhere else, so it's much more convenient than anything. read more

Billings Bridge has certainly improved over the years, but it has a ways to go if it's going to compete with Rideau of Bayshore. There are quite a few empty spaces in the mall, mixed with too many cell phone retailers, which makes for sparse shopping opportunities. Wal-Mart has taken up as one of the two footholds, and the Loblaws is holding steady throughout all the changes. Sadly, Swiss Pastries has recently closed too, so I really believe that the grocer and the bus station are keeping Billings going. There are a few really good points to this mall - if you have errands, billings is an easy one-stop location to get things done: Grocer, health food store, cobbler, cell phone retailers (pay your bills, update your plan), drug store, banks, pick up a book from the bookstore and stop for a coffee - you can also take a bus from anywhere to the Billings hub, and there is even a bulk barn just outside the mall in the same block. An easy way to get things done without distraction or far to walk. I have hope for the mall though - it's got a great location and there is still potential. Had Target worked out, it may have been the boost they needed. Perhaps a Marshall's or Winners will be the key! read more

Billings bridge really isn't my first choice for shopping. I honestly can't name a single clothing store I would buy from. They do have a few unique stores that you can't find elsewhere like a great health/organic food store, a good shawarma shop in the food court and a grocery store in the mall. Really convenient for anyone looking for a one stop shop. There are a lot of high school students that like this mall for whatever reason, I wouldn't recommend coming around from 2-4. The mall is small, so its easy to navigate. I feel like it could really use a good coffee shop (Starbucks, Second cup). read more

Its an sverage regular mall. The cafeteria looks interesting and they happen to have a mcdonalds inside it which is very rare for ottawa. They also have a small sized walmart inside which you dont see often either. Not many clothing stores to choose from sadly. read more

The mall itself is what you'd expect for a small Ottawa mall. It's typically clean and not too busy which I enjoy. However, the Guarda security guards are arrogant and impolite. They make me feel extremely uncomfortable rather than safe. I've never had a good experience with them and know several people who agree that they police the mall as if they are real cops when in reality they're just security guards and should tend to people's saftey needs not their own egos and false sense of superiority. read more

Billings Bridge Shopping Centre covers the bare minimum of shops you need in a halfway respectable mall. They only have chain stores, which cover the gamut of women's clothing, men's clothing, shoes, cheap department store (Zellers), food court, hair salon, dollar store, grocery store (Independent), luggage, books, office supplies, pharmacy, jewelry, LCBO, nail salon, banks and kitchen supplies store. Basically, they have everything you need in a pinch, but no one makes a day of going to this mall because they don't offer anything exceptional that you can't find at dozens of other places in the city. For me, it's more of an issue of practicality because I live closer to here than any other shopping centre. There's not even a little nook or unique establishment in here that I could recommend. However, again, I advise against Precision Hair Design. read more

Where to start. Went to Billings Bridge to take advantange of Target going out of business sales. No wonder they're going out of business! Not great sales. But they do have nice clean bathrooms. Hopefully those bathrooms remain because the ones at the food court are discusting. Most of the mall is kind of old and dirty, rundown a bit. Little itty bitty stores, mostly you just will walk by. Independent grocery store is small and feels not clean. So nice experience? Not really. And when I got back to my car there was a guy about to give me a ticket for parking! At their mall? WTF. Said I can't park there if I work there. I don't. WTF? So I am in no rush to go back to Billings Bridge or Parking Ticket Bridge, whatever you want to call it. read more

This is my closest mall (or something tiny with some stores). I honestly don't like it that much. All the stores they have is either women's clothing stores (that happen to be carrying only ugly clothes), phone stores, and lcbo, a bank, etc. I just go to the food court and bookstore half the time. Now the food court- I find it decent. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot to sit, but it's not bad half the time. It isn't very clean... the tables sometimes have scraps of food on them. Also, I have had a couple of connection problems with their "free wifi". Now that they got rid of target, there's only one big store. And that's the crappy grocery store that never has what I need. I have heard rumors that they're opening a walmart. But who knows when that's gonna be. They keep getting rid of more and more stores. Overall, it's not bad if you have an hour to kill, but it isn't the best mall. read more

Billings Bridge is a cute little place to kill some time. It's quite clean and is usually filled with mothers and babies or elderly people. The shopping has improved drastically within the last few years and there are actually a few stores that I'd shop at (smart set, rickis). With that being said, if your main focus is to purchase clothing, St. Laurent isn't that far. The far end of the mall past the Independent is a little grungy, as it hasn't been touched by renovations. read more
