Gotta love finding deals at Outlets especially the sale or clearance items as most stores had great deals to be had. It is hard to walk out empty handed with all the popular brands. With plenty of parking, a decent food court and many shops, Tanger is a nice shopping mall to find some deals.

The deals were really good too Old Navy was solid as usual and even Lululemon had that 2 for $100 leggings thing. They have QR codes everywhere so you can just scan and join their rewards/app on the spot and get coupons while you shop which is kinda nice, didn't feel complicated. The vibe was cute too there's like a fire pit in the middle (even though it was sunny lol), music playing, and I swear I smelled mini donuts at one point with some bangers playing lol Also random tip but if you're signed up with Lindt you can get free chocolate bag for your birthday (and like up to 30 days after). Only thing is the food area is super small, like a couple spots, so don't expect a full food court. But honestly you won't really care because there's a lot to walk through. Would go back for sure.

They're building a T&T in it that says "coming soon" on the front windows (visible from Eagleson road), but despite that phrase it has been in construction for the past 3 years, and it looks as if its gonna continue on for quite some time. Honestly, it would be more fun exploring it if it was abandoned, but seeing it as it is just hurts my eyes and brain.

It is not a shopping destination. It is a local mall that residents of Kanata go to to run errands. I think the stores keeping it alive are the grocery store (Your Independent Grocer) and the drug store (Rexall Pharma Plus). They had a Zellers once upon a time which became a Target which at the time of the writing of this review is now just space for lease. Many stores that sell fashions here are geared towards those in their 70s or older (Northern Reflections and Alia N Tanjay). For the younger generations they have Stitches and Claire's and for those in between, Reitmans and Naturalizer. So not exactly a fashionista's dream. The food court here is equally disappointing for foodies. It has a Subway, A&W and an independent teriyaki and sushi place aptly named Sushi Teriyaki (I found the food there acceptable, but not anything spectacular. It was on par with the larger chains like Teriyaki Experience). When I'm in Kanata, I may stop here for some groceries, as they tend to have some good sales at this location. This mall is in the suburbs, so lots of free parking!

No. It's an outdoor plaza presumably designed by those people who make those "can the mouse reach the cheese" games where there's a mouse on the left side, a bunch of squiggly lines in the middle, and a piece of cheese on the right side. You know what I'm talking about! There are parts of the parking lot where unexpectedly you hit a dead end. So if you entered this dead end looking for a parking spot and there are no empty spots you have to back out. Now it's relatively narrow, so IF none of the cars on either side are parked jutting out of their spots too much, AND you have a really tiny car, you MIGHT be able to 3-point turn your way out. Otherwise, you're backing out, and if 2 other cars followed you into this dead end, well guess what? You're going to have to communicate that you're not a bozo for backing up, but you have to back up because it's a dead end and there are no parking spots, and then you're all going to have to back out. I hardly ever go to any of the stores here because they don't really have anything special. They are all stores that are pretty much everywhere: Walmart, Chapters, LCBO, etc. The restaurants are mostly big chains like Boston Pizza, Montana's, Moxie's etc.. If you live in Kanata, I guess this is your local mall and so you go here. If you don't live in Kanata, I don't think there is a reason to make a special trip out here. If you happen to be in Kanata anyway (like visiting relatives, going to a work meeting, etc.) then I feel the only things worth checking out are restaurants here that don't have a branch anywhere else (e.g. Tomaso's Pizza, RARE Steak House, Aperitivo, etc.).

The anchor store is the second location of Kowloon Market (the first location is in Chinatown). This was a much anticipated opening in the area. There's also another location of Equator Coffee in this plaza. I think it's Equator's fifth location. There's also a Gong Cha there (Ottawa's third Gong Cha). There will be a few restaurants opening up here (not yet open during my visit): Crust & Crate, Wings Up Takeout, and the aforementioned Windbell Sushi. Other businesses in the plaza that I haven't mentioned yet (and are of little interest to me personally, lol) are: Chicco Optical, Friendly Cuts, Vitality Physiotherapy, Scholars, Haiyan Dance Studio, OYF Kanata (Yoga), I.D.A. Actually, they are just 1 lane of traffic, so I guess technically traffic circles, and not roundabouts, but the point is that this place is big! I like walking, and when I shop at a plaza, I usually just park somewhere and walk to all the stores, but at Grant Crossing, to shop from one end to the other, I do move my car once. Since it's not an enclosed mall, to go from one store to the next you have to go outside. Great when the weather is fair, but when it's raining or snowing or freezing cold, shopping here is not as great. There's a huge selection of stores including The Shoe Company, Bed Bath and Beyond, Urban Barn, Dollarama, Value Village, Sally Beauty Supply, Lowe's, Michael's, Homesense, Winners, and Bushtukah. They have several sit-down restaurants, among them Kal's Place, La Cucina, and Fusion House. There are fast food restaurants as well: Five Guys, Mr. Shawarma, Booster Juice, and Thai Express. They have a few banks, Natural Food Pantry (health food store), and a handful of other businesses as well (nail salon, hair salon, dental clinics, real estate agents, etc.). For the longest time, this area was just a green space. I don't recall ever seeing people use it for anything, like picnics or sports of any kind. I know a couple of people who live in Fringewood (the development behind this plaza), who must surely be sad to see the industrialization of the space, so close to their home. There goes their quiet neighbourhood! But on the other hand (I know: 5 fingers!) it's nice to have this grocery store close at hand. I found it a funny juxtaposition to have this low-cost grocery store just across the street from The Keg, an upscale restaurant; but the store will give good competition to the Food Basics kitty-corner away from this plaza, So, proof that time marches on... it will be interesting to see what else moves into this plaza.

The parking lot is easily accessed from Iber road or Fringewood south. There is also much building in the vicinity. This plaza will soon be flourishing. Something to look forward to... Keep an open mind and be watchful.

The Long Version: This T&T Supermarket location is in Hazeldean Mall in Kanata. It's where the Laura's Your Independent Grocer used to be. It just opened at the end of October 2024. We went the beginning of November 2024 so it was still brand spanking new. I took my parents here to check it out and see how it compares with the other location on Hunt Club. Our consensus was this Kanata location is smaller with less selection than the original location. We were happy to visit and see what it's all about, but since the Hunt Club location is closer to us, we'll continue to go to that location instead. The bakery section at this Kanata location is much smaller, as is the prepared foods section. I also noticed that they use sesame seeds in a lot more of their sushi than the Hunt Club location. As someone who can't eat sesame seeds and can rarely buy prepackaged sushi, this made me sad. They have dim sum and Chinese BBQ and also an area to eat the food you purchase. It's good court style seating. I did notice their impressive selection of imported Lay's chips. Their selection was comparable to the other location in this regard. I doubt I will return unless I'm already in the area for another reason because it's far from my home and I rather go to the Hunt Club location, but I think it's great for Kanata residents. And it's breathing some much needed life into Hazeldean Mall. Lots of free parking in the mall parking lot. (200)

This is a newly opened T&T Supermarket in Ottawa. That makes it the second T&T in the capital…read moreregion. The inside of the store is clean, the lighting is good, there's a lot of parking & direct access by bus. The only negative I would give to this store is that the aisles are a bit on the smaller side, and I can see this getting really busy. I went on a Thursday, it wasn't too busy but I was still having to navigate around people and bumping into a few others. Also, if you are someone that likes making soups and stocks you can get chicken bones here for $1 per pound
