Went to Tanger Outlets Ottawa and honestly had a really good time. There's a ton of stores and I actually found stuff here I couldn't find online or at regular locations which surprised me. The deals were really good too Old Navy was solid as usual and even Lululemon had that 2 for $100 leggings thing. They have QR codes everywhere so you can just scan and join their rewards/app on the spot and get coupons while you shop which is kinda nice, didn't feel complicated. The vibe was cute too there's like a fire pit in the middle (even though it was sunny lol), music playing, and I swear I smelled mini donuts at one point with some bangers playing lol Also random tip but if you're signed up with Lindt you can get free chocolate bag for your birthday (and like up to 30 days after). Only thing is the food area is super small, like a couple spots, so don't expect a full food court. But honestly you won't really care because there's a lot to walk through. Would go back for sure. read more

Good selection of stores here. I am not a huge shopper unless I need something so I always go with a purpose. The food court has 4 places to eat... nothing for me tho. Japanese, Subway, Greek... nah but the washrooms inside there are handy and clean. The stores I would normally go are Bath and Body Works for foaming soap and hand sanitizer.. love their candles too. Van Houte maybe for a rare treat. Tommy Hillfiger but nothing fits right as I have an athletic build so... I just look. I love Softmoc, I do have too many shoes and boots but that's allowed! My ultimate spot there is Chilly Chiles as I love hot food/sauces and the staff there are great. I love the kitchen store too but I have wayyyyy too much of that stuff as I love to cook and already have fancy glasses. Mid week is best to go for service and parking - weekends, I avoid. read more

Excellent outlet option very close to Ottawa! Ample parking. We came here two days in a row when stores reopened. It was a weekend so it was very busy and most stores had lines. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was great. Some of the many stores include Saks off fifth, Marshalls, Nike (opening June 14), Aerie, Garage/Dynamite, Lululemon, Under armour, Old navy and more. I didn't get food but there is a food court and a few other restaurants around. read more

Awful service at the cosmetics company store! On March 8 2022 in the afternoon, the store associate Linda at the Ottawa Tanger outlet cosmetics store made inappropriate remarks about my race and that I carried Covid (I'm vaccinated). I understand how trying these times are but this is unacceptable behaviour. Please take my complaint seriously. I am not the only customer experiencing discrimination and receiving rude remarks from this individual. It makes the experience of shopping stressful. read more

So I finally went to the Tanger Outlet. I love shopping, but I hate crowds, so even though this place opened back in October 2014, I really wanted to wait until the hype died down before I went. Well, I went this afternoon (a Friday), and the place was really quiet. I was the sole customer in some of the stores. This makes me sad because I really want this place to succeed. Ottawa needs an outlet mall. Anyway, this is an open air mall, which is typical of most outlet malls (the only indoor outlet mall I know in Canada is Vaughan Mills Mall). The weather was good when I went, so I had a good shopping experience. Even though parts of the mall have overhead shelter, I doubt that I would have enjoyed myself if it was raining or cold or snowing. The mall itself is aesthetically pleasing. It is new and clean. There are chairs and benches everywhere. There is a play area for kids with play structures. Washrooms are scattered throughout the mall and there is a central food court area (although the selection leaves a lot to be desired - there's a Subway, Teriyaki Experience, Villa Madina, and Sbarro. That's it!). Prices are not that low. There's a Town Shoes outlet, but the prices are more expensive than the Town Shoes outlets in Toronto. However, at least these are shoes that actually sold in regular Town Shoes stores. A lot of the outlet stores carry mostly "made for factory outlet" merchandise, this is stuff that is poorer quality than their "regular store" merchandise and never ever sold in their "regular stores" - e.g. Coach, Michael Kors, Banana Republic, J. Crew. The makeup outlet stores suck. They don't even carry department store brands (like the Cosmetic Company Outlets do in the USA). They carry NYX, E.l.f. and Kleancolor. Are you kidding me? This is stuff you find at the dollar store. And they were selling these items for much more than a dollar. The Shepherds here is not even an outlet store, it's just a regular store, with regular prices. WTF? Where are the sales?? Allegedly, they are going to open a Saks OFF Fifth. I hope that it's good. I'd like to see a Marshall's and/or Winners open up here. As well as a Crocs outlet and a Rockport outlet. And of course a real Cosmetic Company Outlet store (with department store brands). They should also open up a few real restaurants in there. In the meantime, this place is ok. It's nice to walk around when the weather is good. You won't get outstanding deals, but it's a different shopping experience than anywhere else in Ottawa. Update: November 19, 2015: The Town Shoes outlet is now awesome. Prices are as low as at the Toronto outlets. I picked up a pair of French Connection booties for $40 and a pair of Miz Mooz boots for $82 recently, woo hoo! Also the Shepherd's outlet is closed now - I'm not surprised, who wants to pay full price for stuff at an outlet mall? Update: April 27, 2017: They opened a Marshalls, yay! Wow! This was quite the experience! They've done a lot to build the place and build the hype! "Build it and they will come" applies here, although I had my doubts. After all, it's in the middle of nowhere, and only the 96a bus goes near here. On the other hand, they were prepared for that. They've been advertising the heck out of it, and offering great deep dish discounts and coupons, specially if you apply and sign up in social media beforehand. Today, opening day, really was special! There will be fireworks tonight and tomorrow night! There were speeches by the mayor and area councillors. Representatives from Tanger were on hand to help out - it really was "all hands on deck"! However, this event, like other opening days, did have its issues! Some of the bugs can be worked out more easily than others: there was a flood in one of the washrooms that affected a shoe store beside it; another washroom was closed. Lineups in the working washrooms were as crazy as at some of the stores! There most certainly are not enough restaurants, and no coffee shops (??!) - the only place that offered it was set up only temporarily, and they kept running out! Only 2 or 3 restaurants were on-site, but there are water fountains around. To offset this, there were food trucks parked in the parking lot - One was a Beaver Tails!! It was very crowded today, on opening day, as you would expect. But it was well worth it for the specials and bargains! If they can keep the specials coming, they'll keep the public happy. Especially when they get a coffee shop and more restaurants / food service in the complex! read more

I have visited a number of outlets in both Canada and the United States. I decided to visit this one in Ottawa. I drove from ByWard Market to Kanata in the pouring rain. I managed to get there in one piece. I brought my umbrella. You need it. Many of the stores are outside, except for some areas where you do have a roof to keep you dry. At first, I was disappointed with the lack of deals. I love the Gap. I only found a jean moto jacket that was 50% off. Many of the stores caused me to walk in and out. The food court is depressing. You have Subway, Teriyaki Experience, a Mediterranean eatery, and Sbarro. I felt like spaghetti and meatballs, and went to the latter place. I stood there for two minutes. The two guys working there took forever to get to me. When one of them did, I said that I wanted the spaghetti and meatballs combo. I had to repeat myself numerous times. Tomato sauce? Yes! Want a combo? Yes! What side? Caesar salad. The guy started squeezing Caesar dressing on my salad. I told him to put it on the side. He continued to squeeze the dressing on my salad. The other guy came over and said that I didn't mention it. I told him that I did after the first guy started and he continued after I said on the side. I was clearly unhappy. The second guy apologized. Eventually, I got a ton of dressing in a cup. I got my drink. That was the only item that I didn't have to repeat to him. And, the guy cannot count money well. He cheated me by a nickel. I let it go. I was too tired to deal with the incompetence. The food was not yummy. I don't recommend eating there, especially with construction going on in the food court. Highlights shopping here: - Hot topics had a good deal on cell phone cases - Old Navy had a decent sale on exercise tops - Beavertails had a yummy chocolate banana beavertail If you live in the greater Toronto area, the outlets are much better. I feel for Ottawa. It deserves a better outlet mall with real deals. read more

Lots of shopping with great deals! Easy to park and access right off the highway. There is a "sign-up" package at the outlet offices: $10 lifetime membership gets you a book full of coupons each time you visit any of the Tanger outlets across Canada, and ones you have completed your shopping, the office can tally your receipts for even more rewards. Absolutely worth it if you like deals and love to shop. The mall is still quite new so it's only getting bigger and better. Right now the dining options are limited but not bad for a quick bite to eat during a day of power-shopping: Shwarma, teriyaki, Italian, nestle tollhouse. read more

Theres never really a crowd everytime ive been here. maybe because its so big. i mean, the parking lot was packed, but didnt have any issues with a tight crowd. this please is awesome. Great variety of stores, clean area, clean bathrooms. they have a food court, and rain covers for most of the area. during the cold season, there are gas fire pits as well. all that matters is that they have Nike, Adidas, Cole Hann, and Aldo. then my wife and friends are happy! Have to say, was kinda disappointed with the selection of merchandise and retailers on offer. You can't call yourself a Outlet Mall and then have most of the stores offer, little to no discounts off retail. What they should call themselves is an Open Air Strip Mall, like all the rest of them in Kanata. Ottawa deserves an outlet mall just as much as Montreal and Toronto, but that, was not it. read more

I love it! First off, this place is getting better and better the more I visit. There are great deals, and the mobile app makes entering receipts and checking out the coupons so easy. The outlet is nicely setup. The walking aisles/paths are so inviting, casual and well maintained. Clean with plenty of places to sit, outdoor fire pits, areas to charge your cell phone, and a play structure to occupy kids and make the shopping experience a lot easier. Absolutely, if you haven't already, get the lifetime membership card for $10. The app is very useful, be sure to set it up on your smartphone as there are phone notifications for members that make it even easier to make that $10 back in a short period. Relatively new outdoor outlet mall in the Kanata area in Ottawa! Pretty good selection of stores, especially ones that are popular with women: Coach, MK, etc. I wish they could add a Kate Spade store (otherwise I have to go to Toronto for it)! The food court is very small, however. But the overall variety is still solid, and they are still constructing new stores! read more

I love deals and Tanger outlets are a great place to find amazing deals on fashion and apparel. With a number of popular brands to choose from, you should be prepared to pay anywhere from 30-70% less than your other locations in the city. Despite being an outdoor mall, which is tough in the winter, the choices make this a worthwhile trip. Remember to stop by the Guest Services office to pick up a membership before making your first purchase, and you will save at least the cost of the coupon book. read more

I went to Tanger for the first time this past weekend and wow im impressed! I noticed that alot of the products and most of the stores were on sale, like the polo store where I a great deal on formal belts and socks! Theres stuff for everyone, whether you want to dress up, get ready for a sport, or each good food! I spend almost 5 hours shopping and the time just passed me by, very nice scene over there in Kanata. I will be back...possibly next weekend. read more

Have been there three times now. It is very pleasant to shop and have been lucky the weather cooperated. Wouldn't shop here in winter as it probably is very cold. The selection of stores are good. A wide variety of sports stores. Got some great deals (50 and 80 % off) love UA and Fossil . The Marshalls there is smaller than others in city. They should have a better selection of food places. I was so excited when I heard Ottawa was finally getting an outlet mall however I've gone twice now and have always walked away with nothing. There's a good selection of your typical stores however despite it being an outlet it still reminds me of a typical mall, just that you're walking outside. This feeling is probably because of some of the store that have chosen to take up space. The deals aren't the greatest however to be fair I'm probably comparing it to outlets in the United States. Being able to compare this to the Premium Outlets owned by Simons in the States, both the Waterloo Premium Outlets and both the Orlando International and Vineland I'd say unfortunately this one came up short, and did so a lot. One store in particular I find a huge difference, both in price and selection, is Coach. The American Coach outlets have better sales and even better selection, including for men. This is also the same for Famous Footwear. I guess any discount is good but seriously I'd say that the "deals" are much more limited here. In all fairness this is the first Tanger outlet I've been to. Unfortunately us Canadians continue to get the short end of the stick when it comes to pricing and selection. Some good points, bathrooms are readily accessible. You don't find yourself walking far just to hit one up. There is a playground for kids to blow off some energy. The food court had like 3 restaurants (Sbarro, Subway, and Made in Japan Teriyaki Experience. The Beavertail truck and the Smoked BBQ truck disappeared but I expected that. I was hoping this would save me both time and gas but I was quite disappointed. Sadly my money will still continue to end up in the United States as I will continue to drive down to Waterloo and Syracuse New York to do most of my shopping. Hopefully they can draw some bigger stores like a Saks Off Fith Ave, Designer Shoe Warehouse, and other designer labels to bring me back. Its alright just don't expect too much. Despite all this it is still good that Ottawa now has alternatives for shopping. Deals are there its just a matter of you and what you consider to be deals. Even if the retailers here offer some good deals the quality SUCKS! The outlet quality by no means matches the original brand. Buy Gap jeans and you will know the difference. Even during the Christmas season I didn't find the deals to be overly attractive. HALF of the stores automatic door button are STILL not working. Either they broke down or they have yet to install them. IMPOSSIBLE to enter with a double stroller when the doors dont open up automatically. read more

When this place opened up a few years ago it was a nice place to shop good deals and a nice selection to choose from. Now in 2018 this place has gone downhill less deals the stores are not well stocked, it is a total waste of time the new buildings are still not leased they have been vacant for over a year now. read more

I love tanger. I went here with my girlfriend who visited from Thunder Bay and we were very happy with our trip to the outlet. I've had surgery in the last little while and I was very happy to know that they had wheelchairs to use complimentary so this was very exciting for me. Thank you tanger I will be back again. Perhaps I am dating myself, but I remember back 20-30 years ago when factory outlet stores sold their regular merchandise, perhaps last season's styles or with a slight imperfection that did not affect the wear or performance. Those days are gone now that manufacturers have figured out people will pay for the brand name, not necessarily the quality of the item, and now styles are produced just for the outlet stores. Just ask the salesperson in any store (like I did) and you will be told that these are not the same items sold in their regular retail stores or high-end department stores. These items are made specifically for the outlet stores. Educate yourself and research any expensive purchase. Go to the regular retail store so you can see and feel the "real" merchandise. Don't believe the store is selling a $295 item (inflated price on tag) for $99 the day you happen to walk in. If you go back next week, they will be having the same "sale". I'm not saying I don't buy anything at outlet malls, because I do, but sometimes you are better off waiting for a sale at a regular retail store. Know what you are buying. read more
