I've never met a massage I didn't "like" but none were stellar OR the masseuse would talk to me the whole time as if I was only interested in chatting. I also love extremely hard deep tissue massages and no one could ever really meet my expectations. WELL NOT THIS PLACE! My husband and I went in for 120 minute massages with Amy and another one of their staff and I'm never going anywhere else. It was THE BEST massage ever. Very relaxing, very thorough, and very very intensive. They really put in the effort. Very clean, direct service, hot stones, lavender scents, stretches, and even a wipe down so you don't go home all greasy. Oh also, I'm so disappointed to see 1 and 2-star reviews, but thank you for qualifying your ratings with the rationale that the massages were "too intense" or "too rough". I read those comments and immediately thought "Perfect! That's what I'm looking for!" And my suspicion was correct! They even give you a frequent buyer card!

Heavens Day Spa is in a small shopping strip and apparently there is a parking lot behind. I parked on the street. The salon is pretty small and definitely not elegant. But I never judge that at first, because many small places provide great service for a fraction of the price compared to big, elegant salons. The room I was in, did not have a door, but a curtain. A woman escorted me into the room and told me to undress. I assumed she was the masseuse. I was wrong. Shortly after, a man walked in, no introduction, and started the massage. He seemed somewhat distracted, leaving the room multiple times. Also, the other woman entered the room multiple times to speak to the man. The music stopped and was not out back on for about half an hour. I had a hard time relaxing, based on the lack of music, street noise, man leaving the room, woman entering the room, and other guests coming in loudly. I am not sure if I will try them again, but if so, I will go during a weekday, when maybe it's quieter and staff is more attentive. The massage itself was decent, but relaxation is supposed to be part of the experience.

The massage massage therapist stated that I was tight which I already knew, she started massaging my arms which had a few trigger points known as knots. This got a hot stone which was cold and tried to dig the trigger points out of my arm. I told her to stop once I nerve asked her to use a stone and I never asked her to get them out! I just wanted a nice relaxing massage. I got up this morning with bruises all over my arm. I called the spa and the Manager had a dismissive attitude after I sent her the pictures. I will never go back I do not recommend this place I also don't think the massage therapists are licensed.
