We knew his teeth were going to need to be fixed, but Dr. Messingham wanted to monitor and not try to correct early knowing there were growth spurts and wisdom teeth to contend with. Around 8th grade, my son finally got braces, but was never very good about wearing his bands. Plus, he had to have two wisdom teeth surgeries. Dr. Messingham's office worked with the endodontist to make sure all X-rays, history, etc was transferred in s timely manner. Not wearing bands I think this is typical of any teenaged kid, but all of the office staff was very professional and then prodded him along to finally wear the bands and get them off 2 1/2 years later. My daughter had less issues and was in and out of braces in 12 months when she was 13. Scheduling staff was always extremely nice, figuring out payments, insurance was a breeze.

The ortho is only in maybe once a week. If you have braces they blind to telling you or servicing any other area. I was complaining about having a pain in my tooth for months. My daughter was terrified of having work done in her mouth (and with her tiny mouth had lots of fillings due to extreme crowding) but over the course of her time under Dr. Vyas' care that fear seems to have gone away. We will definitely return for more treatment if she needs it when all of her baby teeth are out and adult teeth ruptured. That all being said, my experience with Dr. Chubb and his excellent staff is they operate a first rate, true blue, Orthodontics practice. They treat patients with the best care, in the patient's interest, delivered at a fair cost..... With no up sells and bill padding.... They are great. I am very pleased with them. And I suspect most people needing orthodontic treatment will be too. Additionally, in my case, Dr. Chubb is treating my son's cleft palate. He is an expert in the long term, multi phase treatment of cleft palates. And I would also highly recommend you consider Dr. Chubb if you are seeking this type of specialized treatment.

I spent 3 years in braces when I was a teenager but got lazy about wearing my retainers in college and my teeth shifted. I came in because I had developed a little crowding on the top and bottom and wanted to get it fixed. I was not interested in traditional metal braces (been there done that) so I was interested in other options. Dr. Merson suggested a spring aligner as a cheaper, more adaptable option than Invisalign. I saw almost immediate results and am now in an Essex style retainer to get the last small movements. I love his attention to detail. I only had a few small problems to fix so this attention to detail has been so important to my treatment. A lessor orthodontist could have called it good long ago but Dr. Merson has continued working to get me my perfect Hollywood smile. As an adult I also appreciate that at every appointment he discusses the progress with me. We never fails to give me a good idea of how things are going and discuss future options. The only downside to this office is that they are not open everyday (although they seem to be in the office much more frequently now than in the past).
