On recommendation from a friend my mom and i made thd drive to Bangor. Dont be fooled by thd big Village Inn sign on the brick building...follow the arrow on it. Cute little corner joint w easy street parking. There are two doors, ond enters in the bar, the other near the dining room. I just want to note...how much i appreciated the separate areas. The bar was louder, then the dining area was quiet. Tracy was our friendly server. I opted for a basic cheeseburger...hit the spot. My mom; the baked fish w steamed vegetables and salad bar. We both opted for $3.50 vodka slushies. Her, lime & me, cranberry. The burger didnt come w a side, perfectly fine as i couldnt even finish the slushie, when paired w the burger. My mom took home enough of her meal for another meal or possibly two. The salad wasnt just salad greens, there was also potato salad, cucumber salad & a couple of soup options. I like the small town feel. I mean it is...to pay your check, you go up to tge rdgister. The ambiance is....comfortable, reminds you of being in like....your aunts 1980s kitchen. Our meals & experience were definitely worth the Onalaska drive. We may not make the drive a frequent occurrence but definitely not a one & done. Thank you Village Inn & Tracy for delicious comfort meals & a delightful experience. Cheers. read more
