Seems as though the shop has many positive reviews. However, I just got off the phone with one of their shop managers or mechanic whatever he may be and I kind of had the worst experience. He was rushing me off. The phone kept interrupting me was not pleasant at all and basically saying that they're not taking any new customers. So be well aware that the shop is not taking any new customers because they are so full with current projects. They are not a business that is essentially open for you to get repairs done. That's it. I was advised to call at a later time in the future to see if that has changed. I'm not sure how that would work because if I need an oil change in the next week or two and they're not taking you customers, am I supposed to hold off for 3 or 5 months from now to call them to see if now they can squeeze me in? Ultimately this is all silly and although they may have positive reviews, very discouraged by the phone call that I just had and I will not be calling this business back in the future to see if they have the bandwidth to work on my vehicle. Again, be very well aware that they are too full to do any repairs. So if you're a new client, look elsewhere!! read more

So glad to have this wonderful and personal service from this shop of amazing and friendly experts! I took my car in twice to see why my battery malfunction light was coming on and my air conditioning was not working in my 2020 GLC 350 E SUV. After inspecting it and doing a regular oil change service, Greg said I should contact my insurance company to see if it was related to a car accident and then follow up with caliber collision. Since he doesn't do batteries for my hybrid, I needed to take it to Mercedes! What a great outcome and everything was covered by the recalled item that triggered codes! Greg walked me through this, and I just appreciate his help so much! I don't want to go to Mercedes for anything, but if Greg can't do it, that is my last resort! read more

When we moved to Fallbrook we took our cars to a variety of places for service and just never had a good feeling about what we were being told (in some cases, sold). One day we went in to Scrappy's Tire Service to buy some tires and I asked Steve if he had any recommendations. With a smile he recommended Village European Auto and told me how to get there. We have never been anywhere else since then. Greg is someone I truly admire and not just for his skills, knowledge, and abilities. He and Matt and their employees maintain integrity that is above reproach in everything they do. They have performed miracles on a 1997 Mercedes S 420. It had a problem for which no one had been able to determine the cause. They persisted and just kept working on it until they discovered and fixed the issue. They have been generous to a fault, cheerful at every turn, and allow me to send my wife in there with her car knowing that she will be told the truth in terms she can understand and respond to. It is a wonderful feeling. In fact, that feeling is priceless! You won't find inappropriate reading material in their shop nor do you hear inappropriate language. It is a place you can take your children into and know they they will be comfortable. The value of that alone is worth the price of admission. A great Fallbrook company. 4 times I have taken a car in with concerns, and had them quickly check out - without charging. Very different than so many places that charge you to look at your car then give you a huge estimate for repairs - many basic tune up items. They have referred me to other Fallbrook businesses in two cases to resolve issues, rather than trying to charge me. Once, I had a battery issue and they sent me to BP (another great business) who fixed a connection issue - neither company charged me. Village could have sold me a battery and service to fix a minor issue. Very good service. Since they treated me so well, I took in my Corolla for a clutch replacement. They did it timely, and for less than originally quoted. Car is reaching 300k miles so they did a great job. read more

Absolutely hate it when warning lights come on, since I have no clue what it all actually means. Village European Auto has twice come to my rescue. While back on the #5 near San Clemente, warning lights come on. Pull over, call Village European Auto. Matt walks me through it, assures me it is safe to drive to them & they will wait till I get there. Of course it is rush hour, get to them after 5 pm. So grateful that they waited for me & fixed the problem. Second time I am in town, lights come on, drive again to Village European Auto, without calling first. Greg greets me, asks what's up. WOWWW!!! I just got my 2007 Civic back from this place and I'm sitting in my driveway writing this review immediately because I could not believe how EXCELLENT this place is!! I was back in town visiting my mom and went out on a limb when I showed up at Village European Auto with no appointment first thing this morning and asked if they could fix my AC/heater, which has been non-functioning for 4 years (I've had to keep smacking under the glove box just to get it to turn on for at least 4 years now) and it's been slowly getting worse and worse. It finally completely broke about 6 months ago. I have to drive back to SF tomorrow and knew it might be a total stretch to get it done today. Not only did they get it done, but they truly went above and beyond. They didn't charge any nonsense diagnostic fee, quickly tested my AC and determined the issue, and they ordered me a new motor from San Diego and it arrived within hours. They charged me for just an hour of labor, replaced my blower motor thus fixing my AC, rotated my tires free of charge (they asked if I needed anything done while I was here and I said I was going to swing by Discount Tire within the week to get a free rotation, but Village European volunteered to do it for free while it was in their shop anyways), and Greg himself gave me a ride to and from the shop so I didn't have to walk two miles home and back. I didn't know businesses like this still existed. Really, I thought this type of high-quality customer service was long gone, but what an honest, honest place full of wonderful employees!! Absolutely no gimmicks or bullsh*t, just a bunch of excellent mechanics who know how to run a business. My ONLY "critique" is that the name is misleading and I can see how someone might think maybe they shouldn't take their car here if it's an Asian or American car. They definitely do all kinds of cars, not just European. Like I said, I have a Civic and I saw plenty of other car makes in their shop. Please, take your business to these guys. They deserve it more than anyone else and you will not be disappointed with the quality of service!! $160 out the door and NO diagnostic fee. Totally reasonable considering other places were estimating to charge over $200, including a diagnostic fee! I don't think anyone else would have been so accommodating either. read more
