This place is the best !!!! They saved me potentially thousands of dollars when my car wouldn't start. It came down to a key. My husband had a generic ACE hardware key made. Little did we know it is a key that isn't programmed with my car. And it used a battery not a chip. The key worked most of the time until it didn't. Another shop may have overlooked the key issue and looked at other mechanical failures. Like fuel pump etc. a rabbit hole we did not go down thank you to Robbins !!!!! read more

Well. They did a good job with my transmission. However, I asked them to perform a safety check for my vehicle for a long roadtrip, alas, my brakes became stuck and warped my rotors. Also, I lost all hydraulic pressure on the road for my brakes. Costed me around 800 in repairs. Was told "yup, car is safe bud" pretty much. Guess not. They are good for other things, but not for safety inspections. read more

Our Santa Fe was towed to the Hyundai dealership in Temecula where they told us that it needed all fuel injectors plus the fuel pump replaced. Hyundai quoted us $4k for the repairs so we started calling around locally to get quotes as well. I connected with Chris and he immediately questioned the amount of extensive (and as we found out unnecessary) work that we were told was needed. Over the phone, he took the time to explain what he thought might be the issue and how he'd troubleshoot it for us. We had to wait a couple of weeks to get the work done with him since he was booked up, but it was totally worth the wait. He is in demand for good reason! I also had my sister call him since she was having electrical issues with her car and he referred her to another shop that better specialized in that area. I was on my way home when I had to stop all of the sudden. Long story short, the dust cover under my engine had come off at some point during the day. So, luckily I was able to hook up a couple of bungee cords to lift it up just enough to keep it from dragging during the last 10 minutes of my drive home and since it was already late in the afternoon, I decided I was going to take it somewhere to get fixed in the morning. I used to take my other Honda to another shop in town but figured because they were always busy, I would go to a different shop-this one. I read all of the Yelp reviews and have to say I didn't agree at, first, with some of the 5-star reviews. Maybe it was the 80 degree heat at 830 in the morning or maybe because I was still irritated by the events of the day before...I just didn't feel the good vibes... Anyway, everything I was told was reasonable, just not really what I wanted to hear. I was told that the car probably wouldn't be ready until the next morning. However, I agreed to leave the car. Approximately, 3 hours later.....I got a phone call. My car was ready!! After a bummer morning, that phone call was everything! Although, the cover may not last the next time it comes off they were able to reinforce it and were also up front about how damaged it really was... They didn't even charge that much-I was super happy with the results and all the good vibes were there this time. read more

After scheduling an appointment, I took my 2001 F-250 Pickup into Robbins due to a bad #7 cylinder that was still not fixed after 2 other mechanics had attempted the repair. George had it repaired the same day for a reasonable cost. They also repaired the AC for 1/2 the cost of a prior mechanic's estimate. I found Robbins to be a high-quality shop with detailed honest troubleshooting and fair prices all accomplished in a timely manner. Took my 1987 4runner in for brake lines and a valve adjustment to Robbins Auto works on a Friday. The valve cover has to be removed. On top of the valve cover are a series of vacuum hoses. These vacuum lines needed to be removed to do the work. Chris did quick work on my truck, too quickly though. Chris forgot to hook the vacuum lines up correctly. Four of the lines not were not correctly placed in their proper locations leaving my truck to run rough and dying constantly on me. Chris and the owner, George offered NO solution for me, only saying, "I can not work on it now, I have other cars to work on". This was Monday morning after spending the weekend not being able to use my only vehicle, this 4runner. After refusing to help me with a problem they created, I immediately took my truck to Fallbrook Auto Works. They charged me $159.00 to fix the problem created by Robbins auto works. Robbins is awesome! I brought my car in for the first time about 6 months ago. I had some crazy clicking noise in my steering column that no other mechanic could seem to figure out. When I called to get a quote, Chris new exactly what I needed ( steering column coupler replacement) and gave me a great quote that was about $200 cheaper than everyone else in town. I was very pleased with everything so I took my car back again today for an oil change and some other maintenance. Once again, they were great! Once again owner George Robbins and A-technician Chris exceeded my expectations with their integrity, professional demeanor and friendly attitude. These guys won't fix it if it ain't broke. My 2004 sedan was getting long in the tooth and these guys helped me address what was necessary without dumping a ton of money into a car I knew I would be selling soon. Today my friend (who had recently been told she needed new ear brakes) took her Toyota sedan to Chris and George. After an inspection and on-road driving test, Chris informed us that the rear brakes still had 5,000 to 10,000 miles left on them. He said he could certainly do the brake job, but suggested she wait until she actually needed them. Reasonable prices, good turn-around times, clear explanations to what is going on inside your vehicle (to the non-technical customer) and bullet-proof honesty and integrity. We won't hesitate to take our other vehicles there for service and we'll keep recommending Robbins to our friend and neighbors. I went to Robbins at the recommendation of a couple Fallbrook residents after being quoted around $2k for maintenance at Meineke. Unlike my angering experience of being talked down to and manipulated with scare tactics and lack of ethical details--at Robbins, I was treated like an intelligent and valuable customer. Each procedure was explained in depth. The service person was straightforward about all labor and parts costs. In fact, I've never had someone take so much time to let me in on all the nuances that would be involved. My interaction at Robbins was polite, respectful, informed, fair, and genuine. And, importantly, I was not treated differently for being a female customer. At Meineke there are probably some great staff on board; however, the particular employee I dealt with treated me as an ignorant, unimportant, sales pursuit. Ladies, don't put up with it, even if you don't know a lot about vehicle maintenance. Treat yourself to a better experience. You will not be taken advantage of at Robbins. read more

It was a little further than some other options considering where I was staying, but given my friend's endorsement and how hard I know it can be to find a capable, honest and expeditious mechanic, I decided the extra distance could be worth it. I went to another place in town and they wanted to charge me $77 plus $$ for the light bulb. I drove down to these guys and he said if I bring the light bulb he would do it for free. Off I went to get the light bulb went back and those guys took 5 minutes out of their lunch to fix it. Didn't charge me a dime and did the job without a hint of attitude. Not gonna lie I usually don't mend well with mechanics but this shop knows how to run the show and build a relationship based on TRUST!
