She is also very airway focused & evaluates children for orthodontic needs early -- which is better than the standard orthodontic approach which only starts after the bones and structures are largely fixed & fused, making adjustments a lot slower and more difficult. The only downside is the cost. They aren't in network with our dental insurance (Delta Dental) and the prices of the regular dental visits are $$$$. Like almost jaw droppingly expensive. I was nervous being my little's first visit, but he took it like a pro. The dental assistant was fantastic and complimented his superb behavior. She couldn't believe this was his first time. It appears that this dentistry is not in network for any insurance company, and charges above and beyond what a normal cleaning would cost and be covered, resulting in the inevitability of the client paying for a cleaning. The lady on the phone said yes we could have mistaken that I am sorry, and I said ok well should I talk to someone or leave it alone as I am not paying for what I was told was covered. When scheduling, I confirmed with the receptionist that my insurance is accepted. I arrived, got my x-rays done and was seen by the provider shortly after. Dr. Huynh confirmed that I had no cavities or decay; however, she recommended a gingival irrigation that is not considered a routine cleaning but also not a deep clean. When clarifying, Dr. Huynh compared refusing the irrigation to a heart patient refusing a procedure. Then proceeds to state concerns about liability if I were to return. She then asks for the office manager to come and further explain. The itemized bill showed that I had to pay out of pocket $80 for a gingival irrigation (that's not included in a routine cleaning), the staff's PPE, and an additional office visit charge. I asked if it was possible to continue with the regular clean without the additional irrigation since it is prophylactic. To that, the manager said no. I did not get my cleaning completed, but I still got charged for the gloves & face masks that the staff wore, as well as, the office visit. I appreciate the recommendations that were given, but I did not appreciate the dismissive approach that came from the office manager. I am unable to provide her name since she did not introduce herself nor wore a name tag. Please be cautious for hidden fees when visiting this location. I will be looking for another dentist office.

She used words such as "it may be a cavity or not." The most surprising thing she proceeded to say was "we'll talk about removing all 4 wisdom teeth." I immediately said "we are not removing ANYTHING! Seriously? This place is out for your money and obviously the doctor is working off commission. When I said we weren't removing ANYTHING she said ok, ok we won't. What a joke with these people! So she then leaves and the hygienist takes off my bib, yup that was it, no teeth cleaning for me. I told her I am not done, I haven't had my cleaning done, her answer- we will only perform a deep cleaning and you have to schedule that in advance. Correction- I did schedule a cleaning but they don't want $200 they want thousands for a deep clean. Stay away!
