Food is restaurant quality with buffet style food for special holidays and occasions. Valet parking, cleaning and laundry service is all included. I would just stay away from their doctors at the wellness center as I found them not to be communicative at all with family members and continue with doctors your loved ones have used on the outside.

Those large rents probably subsidize the ridiculous "parties" they have, where lots of freeloaders show up to eat. Those large rents may also help pay for their nightly happy hour, where the residents gather and make believe they are having a good time. If you're lucky your apartment may have a view of their parking garage. if you're really lucky you may face Douglas Road where you will be serenaded by frequent ambulance sirens throughout the day and night. Let's not forget the 2 hours it takes for dinner because most nights they are short staffed. Here's a tip, don't ever order the chicken, it's always overcooked and dried out. To sum up, the palace is a gaudy, ostentatious nursing home that rents to anyone no matter what their condition just to fill their apartments. Caveat Emptor. At the palace it's all about the benjamins!

I came to Miami a originally alone for cosmetic surgery and had booked with iMermaids months in advance after thorough research on reputable recovery homes in Miami, iMermaids was my first choice. Booking was fairly easy the website does an excellent job of answering general questions such as what supplies and service are available as well as pricing for your stay. By the time I contacted iMermaids, I was contacting just to secure my dates that I wanted to stay, this part of the process was made easy by timely responses to my inquiry and confirmation of availability of the suite I wanted (private). I was in contact with owner India when my plans needed to change (mainly date change due to time off from work) again she made the process easy through great communication and compassion! I was picked up from surgery my Momma B who is simply the bomb.com! I was cold and in pain, with compassion Momma B kept me calm made me feel safe and cared for while getting me back to the house. Kay greeted me at the house made sure I was comfortable and tended to me with great care. Momma B got my prescriptions filled quickly. I was able to rest for the remainder of the evening, with Kay checking in on me regularly! When I arrived in the home it was immaculate and clean and stayed that way during my entire 5 day stay. Snacks were readily available on the counters and included fresh fruit. The meals that were prepared by Kay with love, tasted delicious I literally could not get enough of her lentil soup!! My appetite fell off after surgery and Kay knew that I still needed nutrition readily had protein drinks available. They are so knowledgeable they knew what I needed beyond what I thought I needed! The whole team @ iMermaids knows there stuff, I was transported to my post op appointments on time without incident. At the end of my stay I was transported to the airport on time and Momma B made sure I had ensured the wheelchair assistance I requested was available by curbside! Any help I needed was quickly provided, and I felt cared for during my stay ! I didn't have the opportunity to meet Ms India in person but my hat off to this young professional woman for creating such a caring and knowledgeable place for us to recover. Thank you to the entire iMermaids team for making me feel cared for and at home while recovering!

Nasty place to go to. This facility is the worst that I have ever seen. I highly recommend not…read moretaking your parents here unless you hate them. The elevator gets stuck continuously, the stairs smell like urine, and the clothes are all washed together (mixing clothes with blood, feces, and urine together with the other residents' clothes). The forks, spoons, and plates are disgusting. I have seen residents gag after finding pieces of dried filth stuck to the back of spoons and forks. The residents also have no privacy. The staff lied when they said that they would install a privacy barrier between my grandma's living area and the other resident who was placed in her room; this was never done. A different resident was placed in my grandmother's bed at one point, too. She did not feel safe or comfortable here. At every step of the way, the staff disregarded her personal space and her human dignity. The staff use the same mop to clean urine from bathrooms and then (immediately afterward) to wipe the stairs, floors, and walls. This place needs an inspection for possible violations of the health code and local ordinances. Even while wearing an N95 mask, I was suffocated with the odor of urine upon entering the building. The bed sheets are not changed daily, so patients stew in their own bodily fluids for prolonged periods. I would never recommend this place to anyone in my life. My grandmother was normally a healthy, cognitively sound, and upbeat person, but by the time she was done here, her will to live was gone. During one visit, I found her in a strangely abnormal and confused mental state, which I suspected was caused by someone else's medications being given to her by accident. I can't prove it, but everything that I have seen leads me to believe this. If you want your loved ones to die quickly, this is the right place for you. I hope that The Pointe of North Gables gets a serious review by health inspectors, along with an audit of the number of resident deaths in recent months. They need to change how they operate. Right now, they resemble a cross between a slaughterhouse and a pigsty. If the initial payments to the facility had not been nonrefundable, I would have pulled my grandmother out of this place after my first visit. Don't take your parents to this s***hole. You will think that they are nice at first, but they will screw up, deceive you, mistreat your family, and turn your loved ones' final days into a dark, miserable experience. I feel sorry for the people who send their parents here without knowing what they are getting themselves into.

I cannot speak highly enough about Granny Nannies. When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's…read moreand needed in-home assistance, I did my homework. Granny Nannies was the first company that offered everything we were looking for--and they exceeded all expectations. From the start, the administrative team--including my case manager and the owners, Melvin and Meghan--were consistently responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in my mother's care. My mother shares her home with her 93-year-old partner, who also has dementia, and Granny Nannies understood the complexity of caring for both of them. Our primary caregiver, Marie A., was truly exceptional. With over 20 years of experience, she brought not only professionalism but deep compassion and warmth to her work every single day. Marie cared for all of their needs--providing physical and emotional support, managing doctor appointments, coordinating care, and keeping the household running smoothly. Her presence brought peace of mind to our whole family. She supported them through a wide range of challenges, including a broken hip, anxiety, depression, and the daily realities of dementia. Marie consistently went above and beyond in every way, and we are endlessly grateful for her dedication. We were also fortunate to have Anna G. assist Marie at times. Anna is sweet, warm, and caring--her gentle presence brought additional comfort and kindness to the home. She and Marie worked together beautifully to provide consistent, high-quality care. We feel incredibly lucky to have had such a remarkable team by our side during such a difficult and emotional time. I wholeheartedly recommend Granny Nannies to anyone seeking compassionate, professional, and truly outstanding care for their loved ones.

Annabel is a very caring professional. She exudes happiness and helped to cheer me up which, I think, helped me to heal. Thaura, also very professional and helpful and she is a gentle soul. Always willing to do whatever I asked to be helpful to me. Easy to talk to and my little dog picked up her good vibes and like to hang out by her, she'd get excited to see her when she arrived. I only saw Elizabeth Cruz for three days but I liked her immediately. Also very professional, and couldn't do enough to make sure my every need was taken care of. I would recommend any of these ladies, they would not disappoint. Granniesnannies apparently hires only the best. The company itself needs a little revamping of organizational skills and better technology to track things. This is the reason I gave only 4 stars. The caretakers would get 5 stars.
