We loved the ambiance, inside and out, which was perfect for a date night. Our server was excellent! I can't remember his name, but he said he didn't usually work on Wednesdays. I wish I could remember him; he was really fantastic. He made many suggestions and was a very entertaining and knowledgeable server; he seemed passionate about working there. We had the seafood fettuccini, and I had the chicken spaghetti. Our food was delicious. My pasta had no sauce, and there wasn't any on my dish, which was a bummer, but the complimentary rum cake made up for it. We shall return!

The two came to $50, which seemed a bit high to me. The shrimp came grilled, on some chips, and drizzled with cheese. The pizza came with the specified ingredients, not particularly crisp crust :-( but cut into squares (yea, Chicago!) Everything was quite salty, evidently intended to increase beer sales for in-restaurant dining. However, this was take-out.

This location is near a very busy interchange between I-435 and State Line Road. Quite the crossroads. It's nice inside, not overly fancy yet well-kept. Not a cheap eatery, but it's Italian cuisine done right. Seeing any restaurant rather busy amidst the rush of 103rd & State Line weekday traffic is a good sign, and it was slightly hectic, to the point one server mixed up a couple of orders. Fortunately, an astute diner caught the error before it mattered. Seeing orders lined up around meal times is a sign that the business is thriving, and clearly it is. The food didn't disappoint, either. I was here for their cannoli, and they even had more than one style when I visited. Wanting to be sort of a purist, I chose the Sicilian variety (to share with my Sicilian friend who, like me, LOVES cannoli) and they were great. I shall return to try other options here. Well tonight was not the same experience.... We got there and sat down... a woman behind the counter said.. " I'll be with you in a minute." We wait and she came to the table asked us what kinda of drinks ... got them all right! ... came back in a few asked .."are you ready? " we asked for a salad and a pizza with it split one side had pretty much all the meat (according to the menu it was to have onion green peppers mushrooms and black olives) and then they wanted the other side ham black olives and 3 slices with mushrooms ( yes I do know that the one side is asking for a lot BUT my parents tip on service , correct order and if it hot... they will give most of the time between 15-25 dollar tip if we have the whole family (12 of us) they have gone to 50 and more) both have worked in the service business industry) I could not make of my mind because I have a strict diet from my doctor ( I try and make a wise decision but this time I asked before they even started anything can i change my order? She said yes! (Yes! And that a few points to good service!) well I get my food first and honestly I don't like to eat until everyone at least has the appetizer or salad... well I got mine... they wait for a few and one of us went and asked about the salad.. she told us she completely forgot... well okay brings it out and then tells us she will give a discount my parents say that not necessary... then the pizza comes honestly it looked GOOD but the one side have NONE OF THE VEGGIES.... It kinda bothered them because they were aspecting the pizza according to the menu... then finally ask "was this pizza to have veggies? " ......" Well you didn't ask for them!" .... : o .... Wow is what I thought... they asked for a menu and it clearly said it came with veggies.... As we proceed to leave I asked can I have a refill in a Togo cup? ( on the menu it says first refill is FREE ... she takes my first cup goes to the back and pours my old drink in the cup and then adds new pop on top.... At the point I was fed up and in my mind ( I Will NEVER be back... by this time my parents are fed up to... they gave the worst tip I EVER see them give and said we will not be coming back we will go to pizza shop ( even with the drive) That's my 5 cents... you can try it maybe she will leave her problems at the door for you!
