Pooh ordered the lasagna and I ordered baked cannelloni. Both were delicious. I was impressed that I had four good-sized cannelloni tubes in a rich tomato sauce smothered in cheese. Pooh's lasagna was a good size, tasty tomato sauce with a hint of béchamel and also smothered in cheese. We also shared an order of calamari which were good;however, the coating was soggy but that's what happens when something breaded gets covered while it's hot - condensation The Caesar Salads were good and we liked that the dressing was separate We would definitely go back

It was a very busy restaurant with not a lot of seating available and we hoped they could accommodate us. It must have been our lucky day, we were able to be seated. We ordered pizza and drinks. Pizza was crunchy and was prepared in a wood fire stove and came with a lot of toppings. Drinks were good as well. Customer service was helpful and friendly. They spoke in French and were bilingual able to speak in English as well. They also have English menus available so we were able to give our translator app a rest. We met a very nice couple seated next to us. We had a very nice experience.

I had been searching for a pizza place in Montreale, and having lived in New York, traveled to Italy, and eating cardboard crust pizza from school lunches, I think I know a thing or two about good and bad pizzas. Well let's start with the food/beer. The Belle Gueule Blonde ou Rousse is something of a light, crisp and not too overpowering flavor when slamming down pizza. It was a perfect combo for me. My girlfriend and I each had a pizza (and took home leftovers), and we got the following picks: - #15 Montreale (gluten-free crust) (we rated it a 4/5 because of the crust; it wasn't anything to brag about but the toppings and sauce made up for it) - #74 Tartufo (wow, this was a delight. I love truffle, just not too much, and this was the right balance for me. The crust was a 10/10, and I say this with my whole heart. I could only eat half the pizza and a beer, so it was great to have leftovers.) Lots of space inside and outside of the restaurant for guests, and our servers were all pleasant and quick. I think the pizzas took less than 10 minutes which is quite a surprise given how perfect the crust was on the Tartufo.) Would definitely come back, and even saying that is an understatement.

The Yelp reviews for Nonna Lisa's Kitchen were a main factor in deciding to come here for dinner…read more(we live in MI and were on vacation). I was excited to try this place with the reviews but was a little apprehensive when we pulled up - small strip mall that has seen better days but we were hungry and figured we would give it a shot. The interior is cute -- but small. Not many tables but thankfully we were on the early side for dinner so only one other table was occupied when we arrived. We quickly decided what we wanted to eat and placed our order. Our salads came out fast and they were very delicious. I am a sucker for black olives so was thrilled to see them on the salad. I noticed that the other table (a couple) were still waiting for their meal and it showed up a short time later. A few more tables were seated and we were still waiting for our meal. It became evident that there was one server and one cook. When our meal showed up, we were not disappointed. The sauce on my chicken parm was savory with just a hint of sweetness. And it had chunks of tomatoes in it - huge plus for this tomato loving gal! I don't know where they got this chicken breast but it was huge! It was very well seasoned and probably one of the best chicken parms I've ever had in my life! For dessert, my hubby decided to get the cannoli dip. I'm bummed that I cannot eat dairy cuz that dessert was massive! My husband barely put a dent in it and took the rest home for a snack later on that evening. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area!

It was a wonderful, "old school" Italian American restaurant with some really awesome food (and service). Most everything we ordered was really tasty -- from appetizers all the way to dessert. Standouts included the Escargot and Burrata (apps), the Carbonara and Mushroom Fettuccine (entrées), and the Chocolate Torte and Tartufo (desserts). The only item I'd skip next time was the Manicotti. It was a bit too rich, and the duck wasn't very recognizable (overpowered by the other ingredients). As for service, it was really first rate! Our waiter was super knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive. Final thoughts: If you're looking for a quiet, enjoyable experience, check out Trattoria. And don't be thrown off by the large footprint of the restaurant. I thought it would be buzzing and loud inside, but the interior is organized into a number of separate sections that make the dining experience feel more intimate.
