We are so lucky to have locals to guide us towards this wonderful bed and breakfast.
This farm to table restaurant is tucked away into "het bos" (the forest) and features the most magnificent garden patio with multiple intimate seating options for dining and enjoying your tea and coffee al fresco. There is even a gigantic teepee stocked with benches and candles for a private and bohemian atmosphere!
The dining room is naturally lit and accented with chandeliers. It is small but the windows and high ceilings make it feel spacious. It is truly beautiful and "gezellig" (comfy/cozy/relaxing).
Our menus were obviously in Dutch, but nearly everyone in Holland speaks perfect English and are more than willing to translate.
The food is gorgeous, fresh, and so, so yummy. The favorite dish was the Gambas (shrimp) with garlic sauce.
Villa Heidetuin is the epitome of a lovely dining experience, if you will be in the Netherlands, take the short trip out to Bergen op Zoom to experience it! read more
