We waited in line around 7pm for about an hour and it was well worth it. Just get the beef stew - everyone else does for a reason, and that reason is it's delicious. For variety, we ordered the Belgian sausage, bacon, and potatoes - also yum. Excellent fries, of course. Plus a variety of Belgian beers on draft and by the bottle. Would absolutely go again, just plan to wait - there are only about 10 tables inside.

Found this gem of a restaurant by pure luck . This was my favorite restaurant in Brussels. I wanted to try a Belgian dish so I selected the Carbonnades Flamandes à la St-Bernardus . This dish consists of Flemish beef stew in which beef and onions are simmered in Belgian ale until the meat is tender. And my goodness was that meat tender! The dish is served with a side of salad, amazing bread, and your typical Belgian french fries . Besides the meat, being filling, tender and delicious. The fries were the best that I had in Belgium as well. I also enjoyed the salad dressing of the side salad. To drink I had a Simple X - a nice refreshing Belgian pale ale. The inside is small, but comfortable. And the service was impeccable. The servers never stopped moving here. I recommend that you get there early when it opens to be seated right away otherwise there will be a line waiting outside . They do not accept reservations. I really enjoyed this Belgian restaurant. Top notch !

Empty tables though we're being refused service.

We arrived as five adults and five children and were immediately told they wouldn't accommodate us because we had "too many kids." The owner said the only way they could seat us was if we split into five separate parties, which is completely unreasonable. There were open tables clearly visible in the restaurant, yet they still refused to seat us at all. They then suggested we try "a restaurant for Americans," Brasserie des Alexiens, which was closed. The entire exchange felt dismissive and frankly insulting. If you're a family--especially an American family--don't waste your time here. This place has no interest in welcoming you.

Had a delicious meal here when we were in Brussels. The food, service and ambiance were great. Loved the small, cozy atmosphere. Everything we tried was wonderful and authentic.

This place is the definition of a true Belgian dining experience! You might get a bit of sass from the waitstaff and probably have to wait in line (especially if you show up after 8pm with more than two people), but it's all part of the charm and totally worth it for the food and atmosphere. This was easily some of the best food we had during our 16-day trip across Europe. Nüetnigenough feels like stepping into a medieval tavern, with a menu that seems to change daily, showcasing authentic Belgian cuisine. We were lucky enough to snag a table outside (though the inside is just as cozy and charming), and it was the perfect spot to people-watch. The food was incredible--hearty, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The beef stew was to die for -- we honestly wished we could bottle up that sauce and take it home. The fried Camembert was fantastic, and the cassoulet was equally spot on. For two people, with two appetizers, two entrees, two beers, and two glasses of wine, the total came to just €100, which felt like a steal. And then there's the beer list -- overwhelming in the best way possible. They had dozens, if not over 100, local beers to choose from. A must-visit if you want a truly authentic Belgian meal!

This is a quaint little place with excellent attentive service. We went early enough so we didn't have to wait for seats. Pur primary server was a young woman who lived in Brussels for many years, but her family was from the NE part of the US. The presentation of the food items was beautiful and it was matched by the delicious taste. We had bone marrow and venison terrine to start. My husband had octopus and pork belly and I had the duck. We ended the meal with the grandmother's chcolate cake which was like a lava cake. I will certainly be back again when we are in Brussels.

Best happen-chance find in Brussels. We were searching for a quaint place for traditional stew and decided to come here. I am still dreaming and salivating over the olives and its been more than a month since we visited. The amount was more than generous. If we weren't passing thru the city and staying in a hotel, I would have packed what I couldn't finish home - but I forced myself to eat every single olive - leaving no room for my main course. I enjoyed the beef stew that I had gone there for and my boyfriend enjoyed the octopus. I also wanted to try the stoemp which was fine - didn't have room for it as the olives decided to take up all my tummy space but I wasn't mad about it. We also had the ginger lemon craft soda which had fantastic ginger zing. Highly recommend this place!

Food was delish! Service was very nice. Ambiance is quite cozy. This place may often have a line to get seated. I was a table for 1 so I got seated quickly! I ordered the Flemish Stew! Loved it. Go there you will love it.

Come to this restaurant right when it opens or you will have to wait since it does not take reservations! Belgian food and beer at its finest, including the mussels. The menu changes daily. One thing I noticed is that no background music played so you just focus on conversation.

We ate at this Belgian restaurant last night. It's a fairly small place with limited capacity. The food was delicious. I like both beef stew and Normandy beef the most.

Small bistro on a quieter street with inside and outside tables the food is very rich in flavor and creamy Our dinner came with a side and salad and bread chicken dish is so creamy and tender. The flemkishbstew is a hearty portion of rich beef . Amazing deep flavors and tender meats make this place a must friendly service fluent in English helps too

This is our first time visiting Brussels and we googled the place for authentic Belgium cruise and this place popped up. With lots of travel plans lined up it is hard to set for reservation time and i think we are just lucky to arrive at a good time that there is no one in front of us. The restaurant is cozy and small, I don't remember seeing a good sign for the restaurant name, also there isn't much of a line, we kinda hesitated to go in. Food, YES, it is amazing. We ordered a rabbit and cow tongue. theses are the food items you don't see on the menu that often in the normal day to day restaurant and it is so good.

While the register states No Cards one of the servers told the table next to mine not worry when they didn't have enough euros. Only a drink menu was provided and the dishes being served that day were handwritten on moveable boards or posted on the wall. I had on my list a couple to try but finally went with the Belgian carbonades à la biere which was beef stew with mashed potatoes in a dark gravy made with beer. The plate was quite generous and much appreciated since I devoured it. I enjoyed the creaminess of the potatoes swirled with gravy but the meat could've been a tad bit more tender. Service was good. I think everyone on the floor stopped by my table for one reason or the other. Ambiance was casual and looked like many people were taking their time over their meals. When finished you need head to the register to settle the tab. I paid in cash. Worth a return visit.

Ah.. the Belgian experience. If you're familiar with it, you probably appreciate its peculiarities…read more If you're not, well why pass by a country and not try "local" as the kids like to call it these days. I've never seen a country handle potatoes better than Belgium and I've tried fries overseas. Trust me when I tell you that there's a technique to it that many countries do not master, unfortunately. Now, the Belgian experience.... You need a restaurant called a taverne. A place where the "menu of the day" might be a grandmother's vol-au-vent, stoemp with sausage or another variety. You'll need lots of-and I mean- lots of beer; the classics and the crafts for the more modern folk. You wouldn't want to miss the one thing that make tavernes so recognizable: the deep green over deck that covers you when the inevitable Belgian rain comes pouring down. It's lovely how many different faces you'll see at restaurants like these. It ranges from groups of women grabbing a cup of coffee while bikering about whether or not one of them should call off her wedding. A huge family that had to have a family meal right there and then with the rowdy kids to match or couples, that desired to create intimate bonds through the one thing they'll always agree on: good food. Does it matter that the sauce that accompanied the duck had way too much alcohol in it for my taste? Or that the over deck was a tad bit too short , which caused half of my body to be wet from the rain? Or that this place wasn't that special but I liked it anyway? Because when I look back, the tad bits of "just good enough " that I found at Dynasty created a moment that I cherish in my heart.

It didn't really affect me, but just something I noticed. What disappointed & affected me the most however was the mussels that I was so anticipating. The presentation was nice, but the taste was not... The soup that was on the bottom was coating the mussels and it was way too salty for my taste! It tasted a lot like sea water. There were a decent amount of mussels to eat, but the saltiness really made it hard for me to eat each piece. It didnt have much flavor other than salt. The only saving grace was the fries. Overall, I would not recommend getting an order of mussels here...

It's apparent once you see the menu that you are there to experience something you wouldn't normally get at most places that label themselves food-centric (they specialize in organs). Not only is the menu eclectic; they deliver hard core with flavors that are savory, intense and exquisite. For the starter we had Kirr with cassis as an aperitif that accompanied an order of pan-seared calf's brain in a beef boullion with onion and garlic, and a fois gras in a very traditional presentation. Both were outstanding and a good prelude of what was to come. We placed the second order once we finished our starters so that we could carefully select the next delicious offering as there were so many awesome things to choose from. I was tempted by the Pot-au-feu, essentially a stew of beef cheeks, oxtail and marrow, but was swayed by the waitress to the solomillo of horse, cooked blue and with a glass of St. Emilion. Yep, it was incredible! The meat was cooked expertly and the pairing showed of a true professional. My better half had veal cheeks that were stewed in beer and fell apart when you so much as touched them with the fork. This dish exploded with flavor and left us wanting to lick the plate after it was done. We finished the evening off with a house-made speculoos ice-cream (gingerbread) and caramelized apples...
