Delicious dinner with a view is a five star Good food! Good service! Good view! What more do you need?

    Putrid Onion soup

I should have know better than going to a " tourist trap " restaurant right in the heart of the square. The onion soup was absolutely THE WORST thing I've ever been served in my life . cold ( literally) and tasteless . Server work hard , but typical of Europe , it was just dismissed with a stupid look .

On the square, beautiful setting. Busy with people so it was enjoyable for people watching. But there were also beggars so keep coins in your pocket if you have the heart to give. We sat outside but I went in to wash my hands and found the interior lovely and the view from the upstairs windows a nice surprise. The staff were friendly enough.

This restaurant is located at the majestic Grand Place. We were fortunate to get a table here without a reservation as the square was very busy that night. We were seated in this rustic yet cozy two-story restaurant that has a fireplace and a bar. We were greeted and seated by an older bald gentleman that was quite a character. I was with a large group and we ordered wine and appetizers to start. We ordered the shrimp croquettes and the parmesan croquettes. I was not impressed with either one. I ordered the steak with fries and salad. The place was busy and the service was slow but he brought us bread to hold us over until the food arrived. The steak quality was good but it was not seasoned at all. The fries were hard and were not salted. My colleagues enjoyed their plates more than me. Although the food was not great, this place is in a fantastic location, the restaurant is very cool and I enjoyed the service albeit, slow service. Three stars.

One of my favorite restaurants in Brussels! I look forward to returning later this year. Excellent location on the Grande Place. The service is always attentive and the food is very good. Love the mussels. The ambiance inside is cozy and warm. Always a special stop on my trips to Brussels! Merci!

Love the food. It was raining night and we have picked the best ones for our dinner. Service was good.

The location is of course perfect. If you don't mind sitting outdoors on a patio and right in the middle of the famous Grand Place of Brussels along with many people, tourists, and all. This is really why I picked it as there are literally a dozen choices around this square. I tried the traditional Belgian dishes, I tried beef-stew, the beef was tasty and the broth was very thick and felt like a better dish for cold seasons. Today, however I still enjoyed it and I'm happy I tried it. The Belgian Blanch beer was very smooth. The service was very good. Pleasant server, speaking perfect English. BTW, they have English menu which is very helpful. So, I give them a 3 star all around. The one picture is my exact view of the square at my table, which makes this experience for a traveler like me more memorable.

Okay, this place is pretty pricey, but it is something that I have come to expect considering that it is located in the Grand Place. Actually, there aren't a huge number of restaurants around here, but that has a lot to do with the buildings having other uses. However this is a pretty cool place to have a meal, namely because it is located on the Grand Place, so you get some pretty impressive views. My brother ended up having the chicken pie while I had some Flemish stew, but then again that was one of the main things that I ate while in Belgium. They also have some indoor seats, but the thing is that while you can sit inside, the outside, especially on one of those really nice days, is so much better.

La Rosa Blanche is a quiet restaurant located in the Grand Place with excellent food. The place is dimly lit and looks like an old tavern converted to a nice restaurant. In terms of the food, the Jambonneau was excellent. It had a very sweet external glaze. There was a substantial chunk of meat that you could basically pull off the bone with a fork. The second time I went there I had the cod made in white beer, which was also outstanding. Finally, the service was quick and professional. I highly recommend for visitors near the Grand Place.

The patio is right on the plaza centre. Atmosphere is good but definitely touristy. Had the parmesan coquette appetizer, meatballs with pomme frites, and vegetarian cannelloni. They had English menus which were helpful but the waiter spoke very little. Not a bad place but nothing to rave about.

While the register states No Cards one of the servers told the table next to mine not worry when they didn't have enough euros. Only a drink menu was provided and the dishes being served that day were handwritten on moveable boards or posted on the wall. I had on my list a couple to try but finally went with the Belgian carbonades à la biere which was beef stew with mashed potatoes in a dark gravy made with beer. The plate was quite generous and much appreciated since I devoured it. I enjoyed the creaminess of the potatoes swirled with gravy but the meat could've been a tad bit more tender. Service was good. I think everyone on the floor stopped by my table for one reason or the other. Ambiance was casual and looked like many people were taking their time over their meals. When finished you need head to the register to settle the tab. I paid in cash. Worth a return visit.

We got there at around 12:30 on a Saturday and it was pretty filled already. I ordered the C'est si Bon combo platter, which included a salad, stoemp (mashed potatoes), meatballs in tomato sauce, carbonnade (Flemish beef stew), and vol au vent (chicken in white sauce). It wasn't bad. It's probably not really for my taste buds because it's so heavy but I'm glad it was a little bit of everything so I at least got to try it. I don't think I could have finished a full size of any of these entrees alone. I liked the beef stew more than I thought I would because the beef tends to be dry, but it was pretty tender here. The vol au vent was creative because the dish normally inside a puff pastry but since this was a sample, they put a miniature pastry ring on top, which was cute and made it less heavy. Hubby had La Dinantaise (assorted duck plate with foie gras, smoked breast, gizzards, rillettes, terrine) served with a salad. I enjoyed the foie gras and duck breast but the rest was meh, but more of a texture thing for me. Overall, the food was okay but if you're looking for a variety of dishes to try, this would be a good option.

An incongruous blend, I know, but hey, in a 24hr Belgian diner anything goes. Needless to say the bolo was like nothing I've ever had. Served over slightly overcooked vermicelli and topped with grated gruyere, the peppery, chunky bolognaise sauce had a regressive, quirky, heartiness to it that made the whole dish super fun to eat.
