Prices are extremely fair, customer service is friendly but sincere, and the owner is very knowledgeable. In my case his creativity made a potentially lost cause a nice addition to my office wall. For those of you who like a backstory as a reference for the review I'll try and keep it brief. I purchased a low quality canvas print that was split into 4 panels. The canvas was extremely thin and there was not enough blank space to stretch the panels onto frames without losing some of the picture. Cobb's was able to identify these issues quickly and bring them to my attention. I was then given two options: stretch it anyways with the understanding that it would not be stretched tightly or mount it to a thick foam board. The foam board was not only less expensive, it also accomplished the look I originally had in mind. I had initially gone to one of the chain places because I felt like that's what the quality of the artwork warranted, but after 2 trips with nobody working in the framing department I found my way to Cobb's where I was given undivided attention despite there being high price jobs lining the walls. I love giving places like this credit where it's due, 5 stars on price, customer service, quality, timeliness, and communication.

They all worked on the card and the results blew me away. I wanted to be able to keep it and look at it forever, but it was fragile and needed expert framing. A friend suggested Artistic Edge, and the rest is history. Jessica spent the best part of an hour with me going over all the various possibilities. The color of the frame, the size, the matting, the various parts next to each other, the weight of what would be the final product. She acted like I was the only person of importance throughout all of this back-and-forth as I changed my mind over and over. Finally I was ready, and she said that it would be ready by X amount of time --- probably a bit sooner. Off I went. WEEKS before the date promised Kathy called and said the artwork was ready. When I arrived and saw it displayed I cried --- it was exactly what I wanted and ever so much more! Kathy talked to me --- and LISTENED --- as though I was the most important person in the world at that moment --- I told her all about who made the sticker card artwork and when and why, and she just listened and smiled and chatted and was wonderful. I took my artwork home, hung it up, and took pictures for all the sticker artists to enjoy. Everything has come out perfectly! This is a beautiful, meaningful, lovely piece of art, in the absolutely perfect frame. Artistic Edge did an awesome job --- they respected the artwork, they respected me, they threw their artistic talents into this, and I feel that at the same time they got a kick out of doing it. A couple of years ago I bought three posters at trunk show in Santa Monica, but they ended up rolled up in a closet as we moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento. When the dust had settled and the boxes were unpacked, they stayed in a new closet. I know how important framing can be to protect older prints, and I wasn't in a rush to take these to an Aaron Brothers or other bulk framing store. Finally, I contacted the dealer who sold me the posters, and they told me there was only one framer in Sacramento they would recommend: Raven's Corner. I finally stopped by two months ago with the posters under my arm and ready to look at frames. The exterior door was locked and a small sign said appointments were available for weekdays. As I hadn't made an appointment, I rang the bell with trepidation. I shouldn't have worried. The owner opened the door immediately and helped my wife and I sort through the posters and select frames. She had a good eye for details and considered our budget in each decision. We selected three very different frames and left happy with our choices. Raven's Corner called us three days before they had promised to return the posters to say that they were completed. I picked them up the next day. The workmanship in each frame was exquisite. Since the shop is the neatest work space I've ever seen, I shouldn't have been surprised. Each poster was complemented by its frame and balanced nicely. The owner walked me through the various hangers she had provided and proper care for the glass. I can't wait to get more posters so I can return.

We couldn't have been happier, starting with her initial analysis along with the painstaking care that brought our 29" x 36" heirloom oil painting back to life. The painting had hung in my parent's dining room for many years and before that it was in my grandparents' and great grandparents' homes in the Chicago area. On initial inspection, Stella told us that the last restoration had been botched and that the framed painting had been improperly mounted on Masonite. She detailed the restoration process and gave us two options -- full or partial restoration -- with two different price tags. We chose the full restoration. She sent us photos as the restoration progressed so we could see how much of a difference this would make. Now, 3 months later, we have our beloved painting back in our home. We're seeing detail and colors that we never knew existed. And best of all, the final price was exactly what she had quoted to us. Stella is a real pro!

The frames are made of plaster, that was cast over wire. They are at least 100 years old. Chunks missing. The photos are curved. No glass covered them. The glass was lost or broken years ago. No way she could find glass that could fit the photos and the frame. The restoration took Stella around 3 months. Now I am talking about MUSEUM QUALITY restoration. When I picked them up I couldn't believe my eyes. The picture of my Grandfather, (which was almost torn in half and is the only known picture of him in our family)was nearly pristine! As was the one of my Grandmother. Now these treasures will be able to be passed down for many,many generations. Thank you so much Stella.
