Puesta al Sol
Fernando R.

Espectacular

Came here to watch the sunset and it didn't disappoint. We got a great table right on the edge with stunning views. We weren't hungry so we ordered the chicharrones de pollo and of course their very popular Pirata drink. The chicken was amazing, wished we had been hungry and got to taste more of their menu. Now lets talk about the star of the place The Pirata. This very strong sort of piña colada drink served in a coconut. They also give you a cup with extra drink. The drink is strong but so well made it tastes delicious. A must have if you visit. Right before the sun went down the bartender did a countdown which felt very festive and like New Year's Eve. If you are in Rincon this is a must visit especially to watch the sunset.

Beach is a few steps water very easy to swim on.

Great service, restaurant food good large portions.Room are big .Staff very friendly, bilingual.Very clean. No microwave in room.

Fantastic vibe, absolutely spotless and the staff from the front desk, porter, cleaning staff, restaurant and bar are super nice. Congratulations to management for hiring and creating such a wonderful team of employees. Our room was spacious and clean with an ocean view. We were lulled to sleep every night with sound of ocean waves. Hotel is right on the beach and includes the most beautiful sunset every evening. The hotel offers beach chairs and umbrella. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and bar. Again, such a relaxed and wonderful vibe. The food was exceptionally good and well priced. There was live entertainment on Friday and Saturday. We did have a car, but it was a nice walk to the supermarket or perhaps a 20 minute walk into town. Thank you Villa Cofresi for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

One of our favorite places to stay when we visit Puerto Rico what can I say the attention the family atmosphere and the drinks are to die for especially the coconut pirate drink that they offer we love this place

Bar

Excellent service, beautiful ocean views, delicious strong drinks, wonderful food. I had lunch here with my parents, husband, and our one year old. My husband and dad got the specialty pirate drinks in a coconut which also came with 2 extra "refills" on the side - a great value. My mother and I got the margaritas. I ate the chicken quesadilla and tostones. This is one of the only restaurants on my entire trip to Puerto Rico that came with free iced water in a nice glass and plenty of refills. I would definitely recommend!

I love this hotel. I intended to stay for six days, but a single overnight convinced me to book another four days. That morning, I walked up to Zeida at the desk and said, "The sky is too pink, the sand too soft, the ocean too relaxing, the view too spectacular." What I didn't know then but do now is that the employees are exemplary- every single one. By the way, the nightly cost here provides a nice hotel in Boston without the sea of people catering to your every need. Meals here are cheaper than local restaurants. A long list of now friendly faces - I've forgotten too many names - including Braulio, Eddie, Wendy, Sonia, Vani, Angela, Saltares, and Kevin - all a tribute to the person in charge of hiring. I'll be back.

This place is incredible! We love the location, the beach, the vibe, all of it. The staff is friendly and helps accommodate our needs. We will definitely be back everyyyyy year.

Had the pleasure of having dinner at the bar one evening during our stay at the subpar resort next door. The restaurant had great food and drinks. Service, while slow, was extremely friendly and efficient. Our waitress (who was also bartending at the very busy bar) was personable, helpful and had great food recommendations. As we left later that evening, we lamented to the nearby hotel reception staff on how we wished we'd stayed at Villa Confresi instead of the resort next door. On our next vacation to Rincón, we will be staying here instead.

Absolutely delicious breakfast: vegetable & cheese omelette with pico de gallo and passion fruit mimosas with an amazing view

My mom and I spent a blissful holiday at Hotel Villa Cofresi last month. It was our first time there, but will definitely not be our last...we cannot wait to return. This spot on the west coast of Puerto Rico is pure paradise, everything about this hotel is perfection. You cannot beat this location...right on the beach with the ocean only steps away, and spectacular sunsets every day! I love that the entire lobby, bar and restaurant is open-air, enabling the sweet sea breeze to waft through the whole area. Our beautifully appointed room was on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the ocean had all necessary amenities, and the king size bed was extremely comfy. We loved the consistent and soothing sound of the ocean waves, which was like a lullaby at night. The stairs to the lobby were nearby, but we were grateful for the elevator, which we preferred to use. The elevator even has a view of the ocean, which was an added bonus. The pool was easily accessible and a joy to spend time in, we made so many new friends by the pool. Make sure you try the hotel's special Pirate Drink, so delicious...and it packs quite a punch! The bartenders there also make the best frozen Pina Coladas I've ever had. We loved the hotel restaurant...all the servers are warm, friendly, polite, professional and eager to please the guests...they truly appear to be happy working there, which is a testament to the owners and how well they must treat their employees. We are especially grateful to servers Christopher and Marcelo..I wish I could remember all their names! Thank you Hotel Villa Cofresi for such a special vacation experience!

Service, food, drinks and view (wow that view), exceptional. Rooms need a little TLC but everything else makes up for it. Highly recommend.

Our New Favorite Place in Rincón…read more We had such an incredible stay at Rincón of the Seas and genuinely did not want to leave. The beach is beautiful, with soft sand, gorgeous water, and stunning views. Our room was clean and comfortable, the pool was beautiful and well maintained, and the lobby and gardens are absolutely lovely. The lush plants throughout the property make it feel like you've escaped from the rest of the world. What made the trip especially memorable was the staff. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely willing to go above and beyond for us. Aaron kept us laughing at the swim-up bar, Gabby gave us great recommendations at breakfast for places to visit and restaurants to try, and Javier made my mom's birthday dinner extra special. Those personal touches made such a difference and made us feel truly taken care of throughout our stay. The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the location is perfect. We also loved the size of the hotel. It has everything you want from a resort, but still feels intimate, relaxed, and personal rather than crowded or overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you can spend the day at the beach or pool, enjoy a drink, wander through the gardens, and actually feel like you're on vacation. We loved every minute of our stay and are already planning to come back next year. We wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else in Rincón.

Across the street from a bunch of shacks selling all sorts of food 4. Security guard at gate 5. Free parking 6. Good shower, hot and with ample pressure 7. Friendly front desk staff Cons- 1. Security guard at gate as a con too (why is one needed??) 2. Free range chickens everywhere 3. 55 degree rooms that you cannot change (hotel says that it must stay this cold to prevent mold in the rooms) 4. Poor TV choices, no Netflix or anything 5. Parties lasting into the wee hours so forget about sleeping Overall, it's the noise level that was the biggest drawback.

Moldy coffee grounds in the room coffee pot, Locked out of my room because "the manager wasn't working," got walked in on by staff while I was naked in bed.. no knock, nothing, room was contaminated with fiberglass from the deteriorating fiberglass bed protector, needed to switch rooms, room I moved to had electrical problems, couldn't get out of my booking, the water went out, but they didn't notify anyone. They knew, but thought it was a nice surprise to come home to and discover for yourself...It was generally difficult to find anyone to help, whoever is manning the front desk has many other things to do... so they have to be tracked down. And even when you eventually do, they have to find another person who might be able to help. Which could take hours (and usually does.) I've literally never had a worse trip. I've stayed at many $10- $4/night hotels, and I'd trade any one of them for this one. (Except the one with bed bugs.) For the price, I thought it would be amazing. But it was only amazingly bad. Last month, I stayed at a Westin for the same exact amount, and had the polar opposite experience. Hands down, this was the worst value for money I've ever experienced.

However, the hotel was understaffed and empty during our stay. For two to three days, my guest and I had to share a single dirty bath towel. We requested room cleaning and additional towels, a few times. There were other non ideal situations and when we raised concerns, they were often minimized. The pool bar was also not very well maintained or staffed. Overall, it was ok for a last-minute booking, but for the price, I think you could get more value at nearby properties.

After Maria Review: The Lazy Parrot Inn is a gorgeous, peaceful mountain retreat!…read more If you seek peace, relaxation, cool tropical breezes, both mountain and ocean views then this is the Inn for you! I was super pleased with my two night stay at The Lazy Parrot Inn and can't wait to return! This beautiful family owned and operated hotel surpassed all of my main points when it comes to hotel cleanliness, customer service, noise level, convenience and purpose. I wanted to stay in a Inn that has both access to the beautiful mountains, the beach and the City of Rincon Plaza. The Lazy Parrot Inn is located minutes from the best Surfing beaches of Puerto Rico which are extremely popular on the West Coast. It is also located along Route 413 which is known as the Route to Happiness and folks, it does not disappoint. What is more beautiful is that after a devastating 2017 Hurricane season, the City of Rincon and the West Coast has been on mass overtime ensuring that tourism is quickly recovered in welcoming travelers from all over the world. The Inn which thankfully suffered minimal damage was one of the first Inns to have both power and water. I also learned from my pleasant conversation with the hotel Operations Manager, that the hotel Owners worked tirelessly alongside with the community in recovery efforts and aid. The Owners and staff of this hotel are passionate about being here and ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and part of the family, this is what attracts me when it comes to Inns and also ensures the reason for why I will go back. I know that many people are somewhat still reluctant to come to Puerto Rico, but I am being truthful when I say that Rincon has not messed around when it comes to after hurricane recovery and if you decide to visit, it will be worth it. I am certainly pleased and look forward to returning to the Lazy Parrot Inn and also to the City of Rincon, Puerto Rico! What I loved about this hotel: - Clean, clean and I mean it! - I stayed in Room 302 and it was gorgeous, big, clean with an awesome view. All Rooms in the new addition tower have amazing views! - Quiet, peaceful definitely relaxing and as a busy IT Project Manager professional I needed it! - Gorgeous green and vibrant landscaping and vegetation! - Quiet and cozy seating areas throughout the hotel for you to relax and enjoy the Caribbean breezes - Family oriented, family owned, family managed operations team! - Next to an awesome surf shop - Next to an awesome bakery - Punta Mar Bakery - Conveniently located to Marina Tres Palmas Reserve Beach on Route 413 and several beaches! - There is a family owned wood oven Pizza Restaurant on location - Beautiful mountain views along with ocean views - Finally, excellent customer service and did I say clean! - You will catch feels for it. - As an US Citizen you do not need a Passport or Visa. Again, thinking about Puerto Rico, don't' - just do it and come see this gorgeous and resilient island. I have said it and felt it during my stay here if Mother Nature has obviously refused to give up on it why should we! Puerto Rico truly is the Pearl of the Caribbean. Cheers & Peace!

Not sure why as April is shouldering peak season in Puerto Rico. That said, it was nice to have peace and quiet while relaxing in the pool which we had to ourselves for 2 days! On the down side, there was little to no staff. The bar remained closed the entire time. MINUS ONE STAR We did enjoy the Thai restaurant one evening! The food was really delicious. We had the Pad Thai with shrimp, the spicy papaya salad and chicken curry. Highly recommend this place as a lot of locals were in. This was the one time we did see a lot of people. ADD A STAR The room was nice and had a nice enclosed outdoor patio where we could hang out and dry our clothes after a day at the beach. The beds were comfortable although VERY high! ADD ONE STAR The resort grounds were very well maintained and I enjoyed strolling around taking pictures of the property and all the pretty flowers! Definitely a pretty place. Loved the lookout area that also served at the Thai restaurant. ADD ONE STAR No other food was available for breakfast or lunch but they did have a nice coffee station with many choices of flavors syrups and creamers/milks and teas! ADD ONE STAR They also had a game room for the kids to enjoy. There were also many large iguanas roaming the property where our room was. It was fun sitting outside our door watching them climb the trees! Parking was on a very steep hill across from the Inn. Be careful to attend to your rolling suitcases as we almost had one roll down the hill! Haha Overall the Lazy Parrot was a nice place to stay. Just wish they had staffed the bar! As for breakfast and lunch there are 2 excellent places right next door!
