I accidentally found this place on a recent trip to Puerto Rico. The owners, Mark and Nelson, are very gracious and friendly. I was greeted at the front gate and Mark informed me that the power was out. He asked if i still wanted to stay and then gave me an option of one of four rooms that were vacant to stay in. Mark provided an overview of the city and was happy to recommend several out of the way and unique restaurants to eat at. They made me feel welcome and at home. They are also very flexible and will do what they need to do to make you feel welcome and accommodate you.
The property is modest and unassuming. It has 6 guest rooms, each with a private bath and with a satellite television, which has HBO. There is a pool that is open until 9 at night, and the property is just one building away from the beach. The pineapple motif that runs through is indicative of the hospitality that these two treat all of their guests with. The location is quiet and I was able to hear the beach at night from my room with the windows open. A nice breeze blows through guest room, which created a relaxing feel. While meager on amenities, it is the perfect place for a getaway to relax by yourself, a couple, or with a group of friends. If you are looking for great service, this place is for you. If you are looking for great service provided by a huge staff, or full resort amenities, not so much. But they can arrange for a massage therapist to come out and work on you!
Yay: On street parking, gated and locked entry, swimming pool, refrigerator, microwave, satellite television, coffee maker, free wi-fi, complimentary Continental breakfast (delivered to your room the night before so you can wake up whenever) and assorted bed sizes.
Boo: No restaurants or liquor served here.
I only give five stars to businesess where I don't feel that I am patronizing a business, but feel that I am a guest or friend. read more
