The place is super small and intimate but that has not stopped me from ordering here because the food is out of this world. Everything that I have had has been impeccable and the flavors are out of this world every time with everything! The service is top notch and they stop by more than they should to make sure my meal is always going without a hitch! I have gotten many different dishes at this point and it has never disappointed me in the slightest. The chicken plancha was juicy and amazing with the perfect flavoring. All the tacos I have had are wonderful as well, with the lengua being my favorite. The green salsa is very spicy but the flavor is amazing and the heat dissipates quickly. The gorditas are the best thing they have to offer and my favorite is the ground beef gorditas! The prices are beyond reasonable and the amount of food you get for the price is wonderful as well.

We were told to sit anywhere, which was fine, but then we ordered 2 waters and a passion fruit margarita and waited almost 30 minutes just to get them. On top of that, the drink order was wrong. She served us what tasted like salty mango juice -- and I say "juice" because there was absolutely no alcohol in it. Then we ordered a simple meal: a few chicken tacos, pork tacos, and an order of chicharrón. Somehow that still took 30-45 minutes, and the order was missing items when it finally arrived. That's crazy for an order of 4 chicken tacos and 4 pork tacos. The tacos honestly weren't even that good either. The only thing that was actually good was the chicharrón. People always say "good food takes time," and sure, that's understandable when a restaurant is busy. But this place wasn't even halfway full. There were plenty of open tables inside and outside, so the wait made no sense -- especially considering the food wasn't worth it.

Chilangos Mexican Grill definitely needs to be added to the list of phenomenal hole-in-the-wall…read morerestaurants!!! Even if you know the address, you may drive right past it. The restaurant is buried in a line of other businesses door-to-door from each other, and hidden behind shrubbery. Once you find it, you will know it. There are husband and bride skeletons on the floor in the window by the door. Once inside, we were greeted, and asked if our order was pickup. It was to go. The wonderful and very busy woman at the counter, offered the menu, but we already had one. She was busy not just taking orders, taking payments, and getting deliveries out the door, but mixing drinks, and taking care of tables! She was a one woman army! Outside looks small, and so does the inside. But the layout is done in such an effective way that it there is counter seating, and more than enough tables to host a small event. It is like a small living room that is still large enough to throw a decent party! The décor is authentically Mexican with Mexican pottery, glassware, imagery, decorations, etc. Regarding the food, it is as authentic as the décor. Chilangos Mexican Grill is not Taco Bell or Pollo Tropical! The food is made from the heart and soul not from a corporate cookbook. So if you are a fan of Mexican food, or want to try it, visit Chilangos Mexican Grill. You may have trouble finding it, but once you do, the trouble will be MORE THAN worth it!!!

The egg rolls were delicious, especially paired with the sweet sauce they came with. And that cilantro sauce mixed with my steak fries? Scrumptious! Both dishes also came in large portions, which I love. If you're ever in the area, I definitely suggest checking out Pinky's Taco!

I took my brother there when he came into town & we ordered nachos. They had us in the bathroom for 36 hours. I thought I wouldn't go back but gave them the benefit of the doubt. Went back for the smash burgers and reported this to the restaurant but they really did nothing, offered nothing - really didn't even take it as a big deal. That was disappointing. We ordered smash burgers 2 more times after this (both take out) the first time they forgot our fries. We told them, they made it right but then they gave us a bunch of stale fries. First I will start with the aguas frescas. I ordered an horchata. It was $4.99 and was served in a tiny child size cup. When I tasted it, I noticed it wasn't even homemade. We then noticed they used KLASS powder mix to make their "aguas frescas" so completely overpriced and not even homemade. Second I will touch on the tacos. We ordered birria tacos. They asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas. This is when I knew I was doomed for bad tacos because tacos are NOT made with flour tortillas. ‍ once we got our tacos they were 3 very small tacos and they were not served with cilantro or onion.
