When visiting Viktor's beautiful showroom, seeing all of the high tech equipment, and interacting with the friendly staff, we were confident that we'd made a good choice for a granite installer. We bought very expensive granite from ISD, 3 slabs at $18,000+.
The template guy brought a fancy measuring tool on a tripod and measured our island, countertops, backsplash and vanities. Unfortunately, he made a mistake and the backsplash behind the stove was almost 2" too short.
Mistakes happen. But by the time they discovered the error, the kitchen sink had been dismantled and the new one was in place but not attached to the new island top. Rather than finish the island, only a couple hours of work at most, we were abandoned until they could cut the new slabs for the backsplash. This left us without a kitchen sink for 3 days instead of what should have been part of one day.
The ideal slabs that we had picked out for the backsplash that flowed perfectly together now did not match well.
They left standing water under the sink, did not clean up the crumbs and chunks from the drilling of the faucet holes, and damaged the sheetrock under the kitchen island.
For the $27,000 that we spent on this granite project, I hoped for better from Viktor's, but seems like business is so good that they don't have to care much.
They gave us a measely $250 off of our bill. Can't recommend them, unfortunately. read more
