It's a weird set up. The buffet is in the inner section of the lower level and seating is all over. They sat us in the bar area and it was loud. No instructions from the host until we asked where the buffet is. Our server came up in a bit and took our drink order. They're very busy and I had forgotten it was St Patrick's Day celebrations as well. There are various sections to the buffet. Breakfast foods, seafood, brisket, dessert. There was a bartender making drinks as well. It was very chaotic with people everywhere. I had come for the seafood so I selected the warm peel your own shrimp, mussels and asked the server at the shellfish station for cold shrimp, lobster tail and crab legs. They are very stingy with the quantity. So I went back to get a second plate. I don't like getting up in between, preferring to have all the food in front of me so I can enjoy the meal. He didn't like the brisket, it was dry. The deviled eggs were cute in green for St Pat's. But that was all they were. Dry and stiff. No taste. Mussels were not palatable. Not fresh. And the cold shrimp meh. The warm shrimp were better but not all of them were fresh. The lobster tails were average. The crab legs also average. Some were too salty. And not sure if they bring you crackers for opening the claws but I had brought my own. The server was fine. She brought him more soda and when she saw I needed water brought me some. Brought me a plate to put my shells on. Parking was challenging as there were a lot of diners. Verdict - if you want a buffet that's not in Blackhawk, this is fine. It's buffet food. Not the best buffet food but it might satisfy your craving. It's out first and last time as I didn't like the chaos and didn't feel full after eating here. I also feel that the server having to parse out a couple of crab legs or lobster tails at a time was a waste of my time. First time at this Viewhouse location. Have been to the Springs and Downtown locations multiple times over the years. This location felt like the biggest and nicest for sure! with a really nice outdoor area, lots of TVs everywhere, variety of seating from booths to high tops and areas for get togethers and parties. Service for a group of 15 of us was good. Got nachos, pigs in a blanket, chicken tenders for the group and a buffalo sandwich for myself . All of the food was decent, fairly standard bar type food nothing too fancy. Happy hour bar prices are very reasonable as well. It can get loud once full with all the TVs which made hearing each other more difficult, but again that is pretty par for the course. read more

Came here for the first time on a Sunday for their all you can eat buffet brunch. I have to say this place is extremely packed and parking is definitely at a premium here even though they have a parking lot. Overall, the service and the set up does seem a bit disorganized. And I think that's obviously due to just the sheer quantity of people. The table set ups are so tight and are set up so that they can fit as many people as possible. This is very uncomfortable and when I say tight everybody around, you has to get up in order for one person to get out of their seat and out of the long tables just to get to the walking area or just to get out to get back to the food or restrooms. Surprisingly though when you go up to the food set up, there wasn't always a line which was kind of nice. After reading some of the other reviews, it is true once you go up to the lobster tail and shrimp section they literally only give you two or only one piece This ends up leading to me going up there literally a total of four times. The meat carving station was pretty impressive because it had pork belly brisket and steak. However, it was a little disappointing because every time I walked up there it seemed that most of the parts left over were either fat or really dry and overcooked. Maybe this is just due to timing. The sushi station, although impressive lacks any signage whatsoever so you have absolutely no clue what you're picking up and you better be a heck of a guesser. As someone who is allergic to salmon, I have an eye for finding it, but when you get to some of the rolls that have multiple ingredients inside of it. Met some old work friends here for a Friday late lunch. When describing the place to my parents I said it's Chili's in a big building with a great view. That may be slightly unfair... Here are the things that impressed me, staff was pretty accommodating. I made a reservation online but last minute needed to change the time. Although I wasn't able to do so online, a call to the restaurant quickly fixed that. Nuts and berries salad was great. The lunch special pick two pricing and options were pretty decent. Loved the view and the indoor/outdoor feel of the second floor. Plenty of parking. Here are the things that are Chili's level but could improve. Two of us ordered the Mac and Cheese but neither of us finished it or took it home. Just bland tasting runny cheese and it didn't stay warm even though it came in the cast iron. The first floor has very little of the ambience of the 2nd floor. No regular drink menu?!?! Maybe I couldn't find it because I was handed three menus to read before ordering?!?! There are so many options in Denver for eating. I can't imagine choosing this place again. But I also would never go out of my way to discourage someone who was going to try it. read more

The hostesses were amazing at ensuring we had a suitable table given the ever changing CO weather. The ambiance is great - beautiful venue, great views! My experience was good as far as service but the food was mediocre at best. I went to this View House last week for a work lunch with a vendor. We were seated at a high top table that was narrow and long. It fit our group of 5 just fine. The restaurant was not busy for lunch at all. It wasn't loud or anything and the view of the mountains is nice. The restaurant is very large with two floors and outdoor seating. The staff was courteous and relatively fast. I arrived a little after my party and they had ordered drinks to start. We waited a bit before the server returned to take our food orders and the food came out at a reasonable amount of time while we chatted. Everyone seems to enjoy their food ok. No one was raving about anything in particular, but my food could have been better. I ordered the southwest blackened chicken salad and the salad itself was fine, the problem was the chicken. The chicken was seasoned but wasn't salted so it was pretty bland and it was way overcooked and dried out. I will never return food to the kitchen. I don't want to experience any retaliation, so I ate the salad parts and left the majority of the chicken. Even with dressing the chicken was too dry. Apart from that I tasted one of the sweet potato fries that was on the menu and it was good. It was sweet and crispy. Apart from the less than ideal chicken the experience was ok. The menu is slightly elevated bar/pub food. Think chicken tenders, tacos, pizza and hamburgers. Prices are a little high, but expected at that location. Most dishes are around $20 with a few (steaks) that are in the $40 range. Alcoholic drinks are $10-15. It's a really nice building and view. It's worth seeing if you want the mountain backdrop. The service was good, and about what you would expect in most restaurants. read more

Our first time to eat here after driving past on I25 more times than I can count, it was a perfect stop on our way home to get some food, beer, and most importantly, to watch my basketball and hockey teams each attempt to close out their first-round playoff series. The beer menu is large, and I happily ordered and enjoyed a few Left Hand Milk Stout Nitros. My wife had the Avalanche, which is the Breckenridge rotating selection on tap now. I had the steak frites, while both my wife and daughter went with the burger selections. The steak was bigger than it appeared in pics, and it was delicious. I liked the regular fries more than the sweet potato waffle fries my wife got, and paid extra for. While pricey at $32, I'd get the steak again and be happy about it. My wife and daughter both liked their burgers and fries as well. For the most part, service was good. I had to wave our waiter down on one of his passes by to order another beer, but his attentiveness was good otherwise. His one faux pas was bringing the bill before we said we were done. He realized this slight gaffe and apologized later. No harm, no foul. I guess I'd rather a waiter assume you were wanting the bill than let you linger too long without it. While we had planned to stay for another beer and possibly dessert, timing of the games made wrapping up and watching the rest at home a better option. After eating, we walked around the upstairs, which would indeed be a great place to sit out and watch the sun set, drink a beer or two, and watch the world go by. Went on a Tuesday night with a large group around 6. It was packed. The main room is pretty loud around this time, but to be expected when happy hour ending. Even with over 20 in our group, the service was prompt and we received our food in good time. We all order something different, but all were delicious. I got the chicken tacos, and they were great. Spicy, but so good. The house salad and honey mustard was sooo good. I need that honey mustard recipe! Service was quick, food was good, just loud in the restaurant. We went here for weekend Brunch buffet. It was well worth it. And I've seen comparable buffets that cost alot more. It was $40 per adult and $15 for our son. Mimosas are only $4. The variety of food is exceptional. Literally anything you could want. Everything was delicious. Our service was great. I cannot remember our servers name but it started with a P or B. Not a common name & I'm horrible with names. Wish I would've reviewed immediately after our visit as to give him proper kudos. The interior itself is a nice huge 2 floor restaurant. I've been here before and recommend sitting up top to enjoy the views but for the buffet, you wanna sit on first level to be closer to the buffet. Food: we started with the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks which were fire! They were so tasty and the prosciutto added a nice salty taste to this appetizer. The French onion dumpling soup came out piping hot and the dumplings contained the onions and it was such a cool take on such a good soup. Can't recommend enough! We went today for Sunday brunch, which happened to also be the Santa Christmas Brunch. Online, both the Sunday Brunch and Christmas Brunch are advertised with different pricing. When we went to check out, we noticed we were charged the higher amount. We showed our waiter the website and asked that it be corrected. One of the managers, Kendra, came to our table and told us we were wrong and refused to adjust the bill. She was dismissive, rude, and entirely unprofessional. Not once did she apologize for the error; instead, she made us feel like we were in the wrong for even asking. Her attitude and behavior were completely unacceptable and left us shocked at how poorly we were treated. Our server, Matthew, was exceptional. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful during the billing issue. Unlike Kendra, he was apologetic for the mistake and even for how the manager handled the situation. Matthew displayed far better leadership qualities than Kendra and should be considered for a management role over someone so unprofessional. As for the brunch itself, we had a reservation at 10 a.m., right when it opened, but the food wasn't properly warmed up yet. We'd recommend booking for 10:30 a.m. to ensure the food is at the right temperature. Once warmed up, the buffet offered a nice variety, and the food was tasty. The location has ample seating but fills up fast, so a reservation is highly recommended. read more

They use hand held payment "computers" that don't show you an itemized bill, so you don't see this charge. I aaked for a printout and she printed one out. Had the bahn Mi sandwich and the braised pork was very tough and the sandwich was dry, had the avacado rolls and they were ok but definitely nothing that special for almost $15. We all ordered burgers (vegan burger for me). We also ordered jalapeño margaritas that were very tasty. I loved the spice but I think it would've been better without all the jalapeño seeds. The service was good overall. The server did forget one of our drinks and the booth we sat at wasn't clean. We had to wipe the seat down ourselves. That's why I knocked off a star. My friends and I went here for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. They have a great lunch special which we all chose. We all split the bill equally. The food was ok and the rooftop was great. Imagine my surprise when I went through my credit card statement and saw that I was charged the SAME amount twice. Luckily I still had the receipts and checked the amount. Yes, the waitress charged twice. Make sure you check your credit card statements after visiting this restaurant. This is the first time I've ever been charged twice at any restaurant. Had originally stopped at another restauarant and was told the wait was 30 minutes. Drove by viewhoiuse which was nearby and dropped off my son who ran in. Told the wait was 15-20 minutes. Parked and went in. After 30 minutes the line had not moved. They have a text system where it shows where you are in line. We were 4th and the estimated wait time on the text was over 256 million hours. There was another family there, waiting, and one of the women was clearly in distress from standing (they don't have seats if you are waiting). They ended up opening a private room for them to sit in so she wasn't sitting on the stairs blocking the access. I went up and asked if they had any idea when we would be seated and they said no, people were watching a game and not leaving. I ended up leaving after wasting more than 30 minutes. The Viewhouse is a spectacular venue with a view to the Rocky Mountains, a great 2nd floor deck and a huge video screen at the ground floor main area. The food is also not bad but I found that service is sometimes on the slow side. It's also hard to get spots sometimes, it's a pretty busy place. The parking lot is way too small and many times I had to park in one of the adjacent lots, or use the Valet service. Overall, this place is above average, hence the 4 stars. read more

She was attentive and sweet and always around. That being said, the food, which typically is outstanding, was subpar. The bacon was a greasy clumped mess, the VH Benedict was sitting for far too long, the shrimp cocktail were small, what seemed to be previously frozen tailless little rubbery shrimp. The carving station was an inedible disaster. We literally watched the young woman attempt to cut the brisket and flank steak, but it was so overdone, she literally couldn't get a knife through it. We went to the Viewhouse to watch the Mariners Championship game. They have a huge TV screen behind the bar that took up the entire wall, plus screens on either side and all around the bar to catch different games. The manager and servers were great about putting the sound on for the game, but it was a busy night so the noise from the patrons drowned out the sound from the TV. Still a great TV to watch! We sat at the bar and had great service. The bar staff checked in on us and our food came out promptly. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, which had a good flavor, a nice crunch, and the tuna tasted fresh. My husband ordered the Power Bowl with Salmon, and he appreciated that it was a healthy dish although the flavors weren't for him. There were lots of options on the menu for vegetarians and pescatarians. All in all, we would definitely return, just knowing that this is a popular spot so we might not be able to hear the game if the rest of the tables aren't watching what we're watching. read more
