Now on to the REAL issues with this place. 1- my fiancé and I walked in for the UFC fight and sat on the left side of the bar and water started spraying on us from the sealing ?!!! Where it says SANITARY WATER it was so disgusting we almost barfed but then walked in the bathroom and saw the sealing and walked out ...the ambiance was great, the food was great and delicious but this place needs to BE MAJORLY cleaned and renovated?!! This place was really great overall. I'm shocked at the low reviews. We were a group of 6 with 2 kids. The hostesses were amazing at ensuring we had a suitable table given the ever changing CO weather. The ambiance is great - beautiful venue, great views! The burgers were great, including the kids sliders. A few of us had the fish taco's and they were amazing! Perfectly seasoned, crispy fish, the pickled cabbage had the right amount of crisp & tang and the sauce was to die for. If we're in Denver again we'll be sure to return! read more

My experience was good as far as service but the food was mediocre at best. I went to this View House last week for a work lunch with a vendor. We were seated at a high top table that was narrow and long. It fit our group of 5 just fine. The restaurant was not busy for lunch at all. It wasn't loud or anything and the view of the mountains is nice. The restaurant is very large with two floors and outdoor seating. The staff was courteous and relatively fast. I arrived a little after my party and they had ordered drinks to start. We waited a bit before the server returned to take our food orders and the food came out at a reasonable amount of time while we chatted. Everyone seems to enjoy their food ok. No one was raving about anything in particular, but my food could have been better. I ordered the southwest blackened chicken salad and the salad itself was fine, the problem was the chicken. The chicken was seasoned but wasn't salted so it was pretty bland and it was way overcooked and dried out. I will never return food to the kitchen. I don't want to experience any retaliation, so I ate the salad parts and left the majority of the chicken. Even with dressing the chicken was too dry. Apart from that I tasted one of the sweet potato fries that was on the menu and it was good. It was sweet and crispy. Apart from the less than ideal chicken the experience was ok. The menu is slightly elevated bar/pub food. Think chicken tenders, tacos, pizza and hamburgers. Prices are a little high, but expected at that location. Most dishes are around $20 with a few (steaks) that are in the $40 range. Alcoholic drinks are $10-15. It's a really nice building and view. It's worth seeing if you want the mountain backdrop. The service was good, and about what you would expect in most restaurants. read more

Went on a Tuesday night with a large group around 6. It was packed. The main room is pretty loud around this time, but to be expected when happy hour ending. Even with over 20 in our group, the service was prompt and we received our food in good time. We all order something different, but all were delicious. I got the chicken tacos, and they were great. Spicy, but so good. The house salad and honey mustard was sooo good. I need that honey mustard recipe! Service was quick, food was good, just loud in the restaurant. Had the bahn Mi sandwich and the braised pork was very tough and the sandwich was dry, had the avacado rolls and they were ok but definitely nothing that special for almost $15. We went here for weekend Brunch buffet. It was well worth it. And I've seen comparable buffets that cost alot more. It was $40 per adult and $15 for our son. Mimosas are only $4. The variety of food is exceptional. Literally anything you could want. Everything was delicious. Our service was great. I cannot remember our servers name but it started with a P or B. Not a common name & I'm horrible with names. Wish I would've reviewed immediately after our visit as to give him proper kudos. The interior itself is a nice huge 2 floor restaurant. I've been here before and recommend sitting up top to enjoy the views but for the buffet, you wanna sit on first level to be closer to the buffet. This place was near my hotel. From the website, it look like it would be small. Oh my goodness, this place is huge with two levels. Plenty of tvs for you to watch your favorite sports team. Had originally stopped at another restauarant and was told the wait was 30 minutes. Drove by viewhoiuse which was nearby and dropped off my son who ran in. Told the wait was 15-20 minutes. Parked and went in. After 30 minutes the line had not moved. They have a text system where it shows where you are in line. We were 4th and the estimated wait time on the text was over 256 million hours. There was another family there, waiting, and one of the women was clearly in distress from standing (they don't have seats if you are waiting). They ended up opening a private room for them to sit in so she wasn't sitting on the stairs blocking the access. I went up and asked if they had any idea when we would be seated and they said no, people were watching a game and not leaving. I ended up leaving after wasting more than 30 minutes. It is truly a beautiful view and quite a nice place to eat. We chose to sit outside because of the view, but I don't recommend it on a hot day, as the sun baked us behind the glass. Staff was friendly, just not very prompt. Took 30 min to get our food and it was wrong, but still delicious. Manager was walking around, but really not doing much, as we asked her to help check on our food and she seemed clueless. This has been our go to brunch spot since Inverness stopped doing brunch, and we have always been SO impressed, until today... I will say our server was great. She was attentive and sweet and always around. That being said, the food, which typically is outstanding, was subpar. The bacon was a greasy clumped mess, the VH Benedict was sitting for far too long, the shrimp cocktail were small, what seemed to be previously frozen tailless little rubbery shrimp. The carving station was an inedible disaster. We literally watched the young woman attempt to cut the brisket and flank steak, but it was so overdone, she literally couldn't get a knife through it. The one deviled egg and small piece of lox I got were clearly out for a very long time as well. For the price, we normally are very pleased. Today was a huge disappointment, for sure. Our first time to eat here after driving past on I25 more times than I can count, it was a perfect stop on our way home to get some food, beer, and most importantly, to watch my basketball and hockey teams each attempt to close out their first-round playoff series. First, kudos to anyplace like this that takes reservations, especially on a Friday night. It was nice to know we wouldn't have to wait for a table. We arrived a few minutes early, but we were still shuttled to our table in the busy downstairs room. As you'd expect, TVs are everywhere. Also as you'd expect, in a packed room, it's going to be loud. We started reviewing the menus and were greeted a few mins later, and then we placed our orders when our waiter arrived. The beer menu is large, and I happily ordered and enjoyed a few Left Hand Milk Stout Nitros. My wife had the Avalanche, which is the Breckenridge rotating selection on tap now. I had the steak frites, while both my wife and daughter went with the burger selections. The steak was bigger than it appeared in pics, and it was delicious. I liked the regular fries more than the sweet potato waffle fries my wife got, and paid extra for. While pricey at $32, I'd get the steak again and be happy about it. My wife and daughter both liked their burgers and fries as well. For the most part, service was good. I had to wave our waiter down on one of his passes by to order another beer, but his attentiveness was good otherwise. His one faux pas was bringing the bill before we said we were done. He realized this slight gaffe and apologized later. No harm, no foul. I guess I'd rather a waiter assume you were wanting the bill than let you linger too long without it. While we had planned to stay for another beer and possibly dessert, timing of the games made wrapping up and watching the rest at home a better option. After eating, we walked around the upstairs, which would indeed be a great place to sit out and watch the sun set, drink a beer or two, and watch the world go by. We went today for Sunday brunch, which happened to also be the Santa Christmas Brunch. Online, both the Sunday Brunch and Christmas Brunch are advertised with different pricing. When we went to check out, we noticed we were charged the higher amount. We showed our waiter the website and asked that it be corrected. One of the managers, Kendra, came to our table and told us we were wrong and refused to adjust the bill. She was dismissive, rude, and entirely unprofessional. Not once did she apologize for the error; instead, she made us feel like we were in the wrong for even asking. Her attitude and behavior were completely unacceptable and left us shocked at how poorly we were treated. Our server, Matthew, was exceptional. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely helpful during the billing issue. Unlike Kendra, he was apologetic for the mistake and even for how the manager handled the situation. Matthew displayed far better leadership qualities than Kendra and should be considered for a management role over someone so unprofessional. As for the brunch itself, we had a reservation at 10 a.m., right when it opened, but the food wasn't properly warmed up yet. We'd recommend booking for 10:30 a.m. to ensure the food is at the right temperature. Once warmed up, the buffet offered a nice variety, and the food was tasty. The location has ample seating but fills up fast, so a reservation is highly recommended. read more

My friends and I went here for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. They have a great lunch special which we all chose. We all split the bill equally. The food was ok and the rooftop was great. Imagine my surprise when I went through my credit card statement and saw that I was charged the SAME amount twice. Luckily I still had the receipts and checked the amount. Yes, the waitress charged twice. Make sure you check your credit card statements after visiting this restaurant. This is the first time I've ever been charged twice at any restaurant. We came in around 4:15 p.m. today, the host was great. We ordered jalapeño poppers and they were delicious! Then for our entree we had fish and chips, wagyu philly and the works pizza which was Meh. They definitely changed the recipe for the fish and chips which last time I had it and it was the best ever!! Our server could do more, she didn't look like she wanted to work, our water never got filled, never asked if we wanted straws, she didn't say what her name was, she just came in when we were chewing our food. I feel like the service isn't the best out there. It was our second time going to this place and the first time it was amazing and that's why we came back. Only for the last time though. Also the bathroom was dirty and I'm not the only one seeing that. The only thing good about it was the jalapeño poppers and the nice weather from today. That's it. We got mozzarella sticks for our appetizer. I got fish and chips and my bf got a bbq bacon burger. It was super good The mozzarella had a batter I have never had before. I was probably the best quality sticks i've had. The view was ok, i'm sure it looks better at night. Our server was scatterbrained & goofy, making me laugh a little. Service: we sat upstairs at the bar and had Kelly as our server. She and her coworker handled the bar like a Pro with how packed the place was. Between taking orders and making everyone's drinks the service was amazing. The food runners also were always on the move. Food: we started with the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella sticks which were fire! They were so tasty and the prosciutto added a nice salty taste to this appetizer. The French onion dumpling soup came out piping hot and the dumplings contained the onions and it was such a cool take on such a good soup. Can't recommend enough! The BLT chicken wrap was packed full of moist chicken, fresh produce, and butter milk ranch dressing. Ambiance : great place to go for the view of the mountains. You get a mix of locals, tourists, and I'm thinking business men and women during the week that would come here. I definitely recommend dining here. read more

This place have the right name, viewhouse. This place have ALL the beautiful views! We sat upstairs just to see the beautiful sunset views. It was absolutely breathtaking! The food was great also. We all ordered burgers (vegan burger for me). We also ordered jalapeño margaritas that were very tasty. I loved the spice but I think it would've been better without all the jalapeño seeds. The service was good overall. The server did forget one of our drinks and the booth we sat at wasn't clean. We had to wipe the seat down ourselves. That's why I knocked off a star. We went to the Viewhouse to watch the Mariners Championship game. They have a huge TV screen behind the bar that took up the entire wall, plus screens on either side and all around the bar to catch different games. The manager and servers were great about putting the sound on for the game, but it was a busy night so the noise from the patrons drowned out the sound from the TV. Still a great TV to watch! We sat at the bar and had great service. The bar staff checked in on us and our food came out promptly. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad, which had a good flavor, a nice crunch, and the tuna tasted fresh. My husband ordered the Power Bowl with Salmon, and he appreciated that it was a healthy dish although the flavors weren't for him. There were lots of options on the menu for vegetarians and pescatarians. All in all, we would definitely return, just knowing that this is a popular spot so we might not be able to hear the game if the rest of the tables aren't watching what we're watching. read more

This was my first visit to the Centennial location after having a great experience at the Denver spot before a concert downtown. The food in Denver was great and made us want to try the Centennial location since it's closer to home. When we stopped by today, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere felt relaxed and inviting--exactly the kind of place someone who works in restaurants, like myself, would want to visit on a day off for a drink or simply to enjoy the ambience. I don't usually enjoy alcohol, but because I work in the industry, I've been trying to open my palate. I ordered the Viewhouse Lemonade, and it was the first drink I've ever had that I genuinely enjoyed. The flavors were smooth and not overpowering, which is perfect for someone as picky as I am. At the same time, it was flavorful enough for my partner, who loved the raspberries and overall taste. Lauren T, our waitress, was attentive--checking on us just enough to make us feel taken care of without ever being overwhelming. She kept our one soda refilled, made sure we had everything we needed, and quickly brought over the condiments the kitchen missed when the food came out. Her service really made the visit feel relaxed and well-taken-care-of. My only real complaint was with our burgers. Unfortunately, the kitchen fell short in a pretty simple area. We ordered both of our burgers medium rare, and they were even marked correctly for the kitchen. However, mine came out rare--almost extremely rare--and my partner's was closer to medium well. We're both the type who don't like to make a fuss, and usually we'll eat what we're given since medium rare is a comfortable middle-ground preference. But in this case, the temperatures were noticeably off and not up to standard. I asked to have mine remade, while my partner decided to stick with theirs. Lauren addressed the issue professionally, but I do wish the kitchen or expo team paid a little more attention to detail on something as fundamental as burger temperature. read more

The Viewhouse is a spectacular venue with a view to the Rocky Mountains, a great 2nd floor deck and a huge video screen at the ground floor main area. The food is also not bad but I found that service is sometimes on the slow side. It's also hard to get spots sometimes, it's a pretty busy place. The parking lot is way too small and many times I had to park in one of the adjacent lots, or use the Valet service. Overall, this place is above average, hence the 4 stars. read more

We had a large group of 23 so we made a reservation that morning. They were not ready for us and had to put us in a room that was dirty and very hot. None of the out of town people got to see the great ambiance ViewHouse is known for because we were stuck in the room. The wait staff was amazing. They were efficient and kept us hydrated. The food was mediocre but I'm a big foodie and was just not impressed. Overall I'm sure this is a great experience if you get to be on the patio or actually upstairs with a view. They did accommodate our large party somewhat last minute so we did appreciate that but I don't think I'll be back next time I'm in the area. read more
