Maybe it was a bad day for all involved but I feel that they were undeserved. I want you the reader to know I have no affiliation with Beach Medical other than being a patient. I'm not some paid-for person giving a review - these are my honest opinions: I'm in the process of getting both shoulders and a knee operated on in San Diego but I live nearby Beach Medical in IHB Florida. With this whole Covid thing all my appointments got tossed up in the air including my MRIs which were to take place in San Diego. I had a doctors consult scheduled May 6th and was to get the images done May 4th but my flights got cancelled. I'd driven past Beach medical numerous times (it's right across from Too Cool Cafe which is an awesome restaurant!) so I thought I'd give them a call on April 27th ... first, they were super professional and nice on the phone and were able to schedule not one, but all three MRIs in that week. In my experience it would take a month or more to schedule an MRI! ... so on to the visits ... The office was spotless and they were doing a great job keeping people distanced and everyone (including me) had masks on. Arleen was very professional and pleasant at the front desk, and Terisina was way too eager to take my copay ... lol ... As I saw them each visit we all joked around a little as I came in. Rod and Lizzy were my MRI techs and both were really nice, making sure I was comfortable and got me in and out of the procedure safely and courteously. OBTW the machine used was their open MRI which was much nicer than the closed ones I had been in before. Finally, I met Dr. Beirre. He was very nice, professional and quite courteous as well. All of my reports were sent to San Diego by the end of the week and they gave me a DVD to mail after the end of my last scan. I was able to keep my doctor consult appointment (via video) that following week and my doctor had no complaints whatsoever with the quality of the imagery or the reports. I want to say thank you to all the staff there for getting me in under such short notice, working with my insurance, and getting the results to my doctor promptly. Well done. :) CB

Then enjoyed a conversation with one of the parents. The receptionist knew the patients and kept them informed as to the punctuality of the doctor being late due to a traffic accident. They helped our young daughter with splinters and other maladies last year, and solved a simple ear problem I had yesterday. She saw me right away, and not only was my lip was pre-cancerous but I had a big spot on my shoulder. She excised them and sent them out for testing. My lip she got on my first visit. It came back clean. My shoulder needed minor surgery, it to came back clean. If you have an idea you may have something troublesome, do not hesitate to see her. She IS THE BEST! A lovely young lady who listens to you and gives you straight answers. I highly recommend Allison to anyone, bar none.

After the…read moreprocedure was done, what started out to be the size of a pea ended up being about the size of a quarter or larger and required 15 stitches. After the procedure was done, I was given an handout, and number six bullet point on the handout said, For minor pain and discomfort, please take extra strength Tylenol. Well, the next day at 71, I required a little more strength than extra strength Tylenol. I needed something stronger, so I called and spoke to his PA, at which time she informed me that quote-unquote Dr. Minor doesn't prescribe opioids to his patients. When I insisted a second and third time, I said, Please have the doctor call me. After three weeks, he sent me a letter stating that the physicians of this office no longer want to provide any further care to your dermatological needs. After being seen there for 13 years by another doctor, they basically have banned me from the practice. I find this rude, insensitive, and unprofessional. I wouldn't let these doctors work on your animals. Having said that, stay away for your own safety.

I am so happy with her as a physician. The first time I came to talk about one issue but she found a couple "precancerous" spots and treated that too.
